I've been play testing both of these decks some more, and I am more satisfied with the traditional paper deck's performance. The MTGO online comes out very strong, but it ends up not being able to finish opponents because its weak creatures fade out so quickly. The paper decks have just enough control to let them weather the storm and finish strong with cards like GoG.
I've tested a lot of decks against the typical Paper WW and it's just an uphill battle. WW runs a lot of disruption while also playing a solid aggro game so it's really hard to deal with. If online has shifted to what it is now, I wonder if playing a list close to the Paper version will shake things up with online.
I would never consider dropping Guardian of the Guildpact. To me personally I really don't care for the deck list you posted because it completely removed any hint of what I feel makes White Weenie a staple and a high quality top-tier deck, and that is the removal is its versatility.
With the deck list that I run for instance I can handle nearly every single threat thrown at me, I may not win all the time but I have a fighting chance. With that being said I have beaten every single type of deck more than once with what I run because of the control, aggression, and over versatile mechanics that are employed when using White Weenie.
White Weenie and the Soldier archtypes are my absolute lifes blood in Magic so in my experience and opinion I wouldn't change a thing unless something dramatic happens like an updated Standard Bearer that has zero downsides to it.
You do have to remember though, this is for paper play and it is different then online play, and of course meta's will be different from place to place.
I'll tell you what I see when I look at this deck. It's not about low mana cost; it's about value. Everything in online pauper is about value right now.
Loyal Cathar gives you another creature when it dies.
Kor Skyfisher resets Javelin counters and gains you more life with the Missionary, or even buys you back a Journey.
The deck is playing essentially on pure value.
That being said, Guardian of the Guildpact is still basically the most powerful white creature you can play because it's so hard to deal with. It creates value by blanking cards and blockers. It's an insurmountable clock with a Bonesplitter attached to it.
This deck is very flexible, and I enjoy how different I can play it depending on the matchup.
The under-performer of this deck is Suture Priest. I want to get it out early, but I always feel like I have more important cards to play. I'm considering taking it out completely and putting it in the sideboard for creature-heavy decks. Maybe I'm just under-utilizing it.
The more I use Standard Bearer, the more I learn to appreciate it. What a useful card! I am glad I have it, but is 4x too many?
2x GoG seems to be the right number.
I haven't decided how many Benevolent Bodyguards I want, yet. Any thoughts?
4x Razor Golem is okay, but I might be better off with only 3x?
Playing Kor Sanctifiers with the kicker cost is very expensive, and they usually end up sitting in my hand doing nothing. Do people like mainboarding these, or should they be designated to the sideboard?

Below is the deck that I take to tournaments and have consistent wins with. I think Suture Priest is an excellent card at a 3x both early or mid game because it makes your opponent think about if the creature they are playing is worth the beat to the face, and especially if you have 2+ out. It also becomes a target for removal so it also saves creatures such as Standard Bearer and Guardian of the Guildpact.
Ever since I through Standard Bearer into the deck and starting raising hell with it people have taken notice and started to use the card more often, and if you pair it with Inviolability the game is over in most cases.
I run 4x Benevolent Bodyguards simply because I value everything in the deck and I use him to either protect my creatures so they can attack through enemy mono colors or I use him to make the opponent waste removal on maybe a Suture Priest and just protect it away.
As you can see, my Kor Sanctifiers are in my sideboard, they are not mainboard cards.
I think a singleton Kor Sanctifiers is an acceptable maindeck inclusion, as a 2/3 body is still relevant, and in cases where you would actually need one game one, if you draw it, it can easily be re-used with Kor Skyfisher.
However, there are many matches where I have one or more benevolent bodyguard and standard bearer left on the battlefield, which makes them a bit of a waste. Do you guys think 4x of both is a little high? Maybe dropping them both to 3x or 2x and adding in doomed traveler or loyal cathar could help create more value in this deck.
I am definitely taking out one guardian of the guildpact from 3x -> 2x and adding a plains from 20x -> 21x because I am not hitting my land drops consistently.
Prismatic strands is the underperformer of the deck. I don't need it often, so it might be better in the sideboard. Increasing bonesplitter from 3x -> 4x might be a good choice for the 2x freed up cards from Prismatic Strands, or I have found sunlance to be very useful and cheap as well.
People seem to bash razor golem right now, but I still think it's a good card. At most you pay 3 for a 3/4 with vigilance, usually less. I like keeping him in, though maybe 4x isn't necessary. I could see him being run at 3x.
suture priest is another underperformer. In the average game, he gives me +3 or 4 life and does the same in damage to the opponent. A Loyal Cathar can probably get 2-6 damage through in a game, maybe more, and I'm not afraid to block or attack with him like I am with Suture Priest. He'd obviously be great vs certain decks, so I'd at least put him in the sideboard, but I don't know if he warrants a place in the main deck.
So let's say I take out Suture Priest and put in Loyal Cathar. What do I have that needs to be protected by Standard Bearer and Benevolent Bodyguard? I wouldn't sacrifice a BB for icatian javelineers or squadron hawk, and I wouldn't have to for guardian of the guildpact or Loyal Cathar or Doomed Traveler (if I ran him). I would sac one for kor skyfisher and razor golem--that's it. Do I really need 4x of Standard Bearer and Benevolent Bodyguard to protect 4x of Razor Golem and Kor Skyfisher?
Now I'm starting to see how and why the MTGO White Weenie decks have shifted away from these paper ones. If you sideboard the Suture Priest, add in Loyal Cathar and maybe a few Doomed Travelers, you'll start taking out some BB and Standard Bearer, and it makes sense to do so.
Maybe I'm underestimating Suture Priest and undervaluing having as many BBs and SBs as Golems and Skyfishers, so please enlighten me if I'm missing how this deck is supposed to work, but I can see a deck like this being very effective, even if it is quite different from what has normally been suggested here:
I have been running forms of Midnight/Presence Evangel/Schoolmaster with Squadron Hawk and when I threw in Oblivion Ring, Journey to Nowhere and Lapse of Certainty they ended up keeping me alive in the first round against a sick URG Tron deck; he sided in enchantment destruction so unmake and celestial flare should replace those and the exile enchantments take what room is left. My biggest problem was that the combo almost never goes unanswered: I literally made 61 Elf Warriors and lost the next turn. I am keeping what has worked and trying to build on that. When I was trying to get help I got a lot of flak for ETBT lands so monocolor seems the way to go. I haven't tested it as a whole but I plan to build it for an upcoming paper tournament. 3 Guardians is probably enough but I don't have any more money this month to get new online cards to playtest and still be able to afford the paper and the tournament fee. I am torn between Doomed Traveler's flying and Loyal Cathar's vigilance and extra P/T. Maybe it doesn't belong here.
I played that list with 4 Doomed Traveler and no Orings. It didn't do well against other WW and RUG Tron beat me down. Vulshok Morningstar is now replaced by a Plains and 3 Oring.

That is something I would have suggested. Vulshok Morningstar costs way too much for Pauper and Oblivion Ring is way too valuable.

Hey Bro, can you go over your sideboard plan with your Total Package Deck?
What comes in and what comes out for particular archtypes in the format?
Also when do you brink in inviolability? I understand its power with Standard Bearer, but is there a particular matchup that it shines in?
Thanks man!
It is an interesting card but holds little value in the long term. That card gives almost no advantage for its cost. A single 1/1 token doesn't do a whole lot.
Hey there everyone, been lurking for a few days...a bit new to Pauper but jumping right into competitive Pauper because I'm a huge aggro fan and White Weenie is good in my book! My deck is aptly named, "Millimeter Peter"...
I won't bore you with the list because it's a lot of the usual suspects, but I have found a lot of success with Fortify as both my killer and my saving grace against Electrickery and the like.
So much good burn that I've been mainboarding 4x Sunbeam Spellbomb just to mess with people...and it ironically kinda works!!
Thank you all, I have taken several points from this thread and am kinda upset that I let Guardian of the Guildpact slip past my radar!
I have a had a good bit of success with my build as is though, won a handful of 2-ticket pack wars and won back the money I spent on the deck after the first win haha!
The Spellbomb is good for me because if I don't need the life gain game one, I can just use it as a cantrip (which is rare in white) and then sideboard it out easily. Come to think of it, I will try some Renewed Faith...seems like it's the same as a spellbomb, just requires 2 straight up instead of 1 and then 1 to pop. Thanks for that!!
As for the Pledge over Fortify, I think it's worth running fortify because of the artifact creatures we use sometimes like Vault Skirge and definitely Razor Golem.
Hey folks, figured I would get some discussion going and write down my thoughts on the Pauper Daily I did today on MTGO for $6. Seemed like a lot of fun after the week or two I've been tuning my deck in the Tournament Practice room and winning several packs in $2 one-on-one matches...(don't get me wrong, I definitely lost a couple of them too haha!) I based the sideboard off of what I played against the most (Mono-Blue, Bogle, & Burn) Here is what I entered, below are results of how I did each round:
Round 1 vs. Burn - 2-0. Mono-Red, all the usual suspects. I won game 1 handily. I have used 3x Renewed Faith in the mainboard and try to win without using it in game one against burn and then bust it out game two to surprise them. I had it the opening hand and managed to pull this off. Game 2, I actually used a Hallow on his Searing Blaze that was hitting one of my creatures...gained 6 life! Pretty nuts. Safe to say, I won that one too. Both were wins using the one of the 3x Guardians' Pledge on 3 creatures each time. I play burn in Legacy and I understand that when you play against it, the idea is to simply survive the opening hand. Especially in Pauper, there are very few ways to draw cards for burn that are worth playing outside of Needle Drop, and maybe Dangerous Wager. Result:Won (Record: 1-0)
Round 2 vs. 5-color Atog - 0-2. I lost both games horribly. I was just ill-prepared for this match-up even though I know it's one of the top decks in the format and always has been. It is just so hard to sideboard for that deck because a lot of my board consists of color specific stuff mainly or just dead cards against the deck. I probably made some serious mistakes...regardless, I was on the defense for most of the match, which threw off my approach...which is not what my deck is designed to be able to deal with. Hey, every deck has it's weak points...and so does it's pilot! This deck just pumps out bigger creatures faster than my deck does and is able to sacrifice everything for a big hit because all they play are artifact lands and 0 or 1 casting cost artifacts...similar to affinity with Galvanic Blast and some other removal that was very efficient against me. Seems like Atog is the pauper version (predecessor, more like it! haha!) of Arcbound Ravager. Makes me think Dust to Dust might be added to the sideboard in the future...could be a possible double land removal with artifact land like Tree of Tales and such. Result:Lost (Record: 1-1)
Round 3 vs. Burn - 2-1. Lost game one pretty badly. They had that Fireblast in the end for the win and I just happened to be at 4. I went first too, which was awful! I won games two and three mainly because of my heavy sideboard against burn. All of the creature/permanent removal came out for more creatures and the 'prevention package' as I've dubbed it, haha! They only had two lands all of game two, but I did too until the very end when I hit a third one and won the game the turn afterward. I utilized Hallow, Prismatic Strands, and Crimson Acolyte for the most part. Especially because I hit both copies of Hallow in game three, preventing a Searing Blaze again for 6, and an Incinerate at the end of the game (which was their second to last card) and put me at 12. Renewed Faith has proven to be a terrific replacement for Sunbeam Spellbomb...much appreciated for that suggestion!! Result:Won (Record: 2-1)
Round 4 vs. Mono-Blue - 0-2. Lost game one due to turn one Delver of Secrets, flip, and counterspells out the wazoo. I tried to play around them, but there were at least three of them and I just had nothing left to play by the time they were drawing cards and winning the game. Game two started out the same way, but I had a bit more of a chance as they didn't have as many early counterspells haha! I lost game two as well in very disappointing fashion. I lost to 3x of the blue version of Razor Golem being out in the same game (2/4 flying instead of 3/4 vigilance)...which rocked my world and reaffirmed that Dust to Dust will definitely find it's way into my sideboard in the future. Result:Lost (Record: 2-2)
In the end, it was a learning experience. I think I did well for my first paid tournament in Pauper. While I didn't win any prize, I found out that my metagaming was spot-on minus the Atog deck and I'm more than pleased with that fact! Some may see it as a $6 waste, I see it as a fun afternoon on my one day off from work this week! Thanks for reading!
So, I've been messing around a good bit with the deck for the past week or so again. I've found the Icatian Javelineers with Kor Skyfisher and 3 lands makes for a good combo (replaced 4x Doomed Traveler). I've had some pretty good success with Rune of Protection: Blue just as a one of in the sideboard because there is a lot of Mono-Blue out there and it's all the same ol' garbage...which makes it predictable. Although, I have run into a big obstacle in Fade Away because I like to tap out a lot of turns in this format! So, watch out for that when playing against blue.
Hey all I am glad my Primer is still in use, it's been awhile.
I just wanted to drop by and give you an updated list that I am running with great... stupid great success. The main difference is the Suntail Hawks. These little devils have been been giving me mad advantage.
MoonTimeDweller, I noticed in one of your original posts you looked over Guardian of the Guildpact, this creature alone has won me tournament after tournament.
Cool idea! Splashing green would get you another soul sister AND Commune with the Gods to find more sisters/aura. I think it could be managed without diluting white so much that you couldn't pay for aura consistently.

I'm visiting another playgroup that runs small pauper tournaments with MTGO banlist and card pool. I've always wanted to play White Weenie and this seemed like a good opportunity. Not knowing what to expect, I went 50/50 generic aggro + diversified tech for my first draft. What do you think?
The main deck 1-drops all work well against Delver. The 2-drops are good against MBC. The remaining creatures are "anti-aggro aggro", a niche white can fill very well. Main deck Celestial Flare is good against Angler, Bogles and glass cannon decks like UR fiend. I feel 3 Bonesplitter + 2 Pledge is the best pump package available. I prefer Pledge over the more defensive Prismatic Strands.
Sideboard has SB against bogles and burn, acolyte against MBC and UB Angler, Dust to Dust against Affinity, Holy Light against faeries and goblins, Reprisal against Angler and Carapace Forger etc. and finally Lone Missionary for more burn hate. I'm thinking burn will be a bad match-up though, but I'm not sure what I could change in the main deck to make it better. Maybe go with Prismatic Strands after all?

Yes, it's very fun and very affordable. I haven't played anything but pauper since I discovered it. Pay-to-win MTG is the worst.
It's very fun and diverse too. I'm sad because I love Pauper, but no one in my play group plays it and my LGS doesn't host Pauper events.

Loyal Cathar gives you another creature when it dies.
Doomed Traveler gives you a better creature when it dies.
Squadron Hawk gives you massive card advantage.
Icatian Javelineers snipes opposing creatures and is a body.
Kor Skyfisher resets Javelin counters and gains you more life with the Missionary, or even buys you back a Journey.

I would remove the Leonin Skyhunters for GoG, and replace 1 Sunlance with a singleton Kor Sanctifiers maindeck.

Result: Lost (Record: 1-1)
Round 3 vs.
Result: Won (Record: 2-1)
Result: Lost (Record: 2-2)
In the end, it was a learning experience. I think I did well for my first paid tournament in Pauper. While I didn't win any prize, I found out that my metagaming was spot-on minus the Atog deck and I'm more than pleased with that fact! Some may see it as a $6 waste, I see it as a fun afternoon on my one day off from work this week! Thanks for reading!

CREATURES (27)
4 Icatian Javelineers

4 Loyal Cathar
4 Squadron Hawk
3 Kor Skyfisher
3 Porcelain Legionnaire
3 Razor Golem
2 Guardian of the Guildpact
2 Sunlance

3 Bonesplitter
2 Guardian's Pledge
3 Standard Bearer
3 Obsidian Acolyte
3 Dust to Dust
2 Holy Light
2 Reprisal
2 Lone Missionary
