Aside from some much-needed and extra-spicy reprints, nothing really of note. I'm just really excited for Modern and Standard with Opt legal.
Pirate's Cutlass gives a pretty big boost and the equip cost is very appropriate. Unfortunately, unless pirates become a thing, it's just a worse Vulshok Morningstar.
Tishana's Wayfinder is probably the most exciting addition so far. The design for Explore is deep, so I'm happy to see it on a common. The cost seems appropriate for potential stats or card advantage. I like it a lot!
Prosperous Pirates can potentially make you go from 5 to 8 mana in the next turn. That's pretty interesting for Mono-Blue. It also fixes mana and creates a lot of artifacts. Flicker target anyone? It's at least going to be an awesome card for Commander Pauper!
I like that explore let's you put the card in your graveyard if you want. This allows for any of the commons with it to fit into Threshold/Delve strategies too!
Enrage creatures, such as Sun-Crowned Hunters and Ravenous Daggertooth combine hilariously well with Pestilence and Crypt Rats. The former enrager in particular will almost certainly end the game in conjunction with either one. We will almost certainly get some more common cards with the keyword, as well.

Conquerer of Battle! Looks like we have another Squadron Hawk! This is one mana more for +1 P/T and no flying, but that's more deck thinning and more CA for white! Plus it's a soldier, so we have a boost for Tribal Soldiers!
I thought Sun-Crowned hunters was interesting, but it's just too expensive to be practical in Pauper, I think. Everything else about it is great, and it certainly has great synergy with Pauper staples. With Pestilence out, it's game-ending good.
Conqueror of Battle seems decent, but I have a feeling that the cheaper and more evasive creature will be preferred. I'm be curious to see if this doesn't push White into an interesting direction. If it had cost WW for a 2/2, I'm sure it would have seen a ton more play than it probably will.
Grazing Whiptail is a better Giant Spider for an extra G, which seems fine. The only difference this makes in terms of blocking flyers as far as I can see is that it can eat up both versions of Stormbound Geist, but that doesn't seem like a big deal. Otherwise, it obviously will help make it better on the offense.
Wall of Hope already does a similar job, but for 2 less mana, an extra toughness and in a more synergistic colour. It's a cool interaction, but not something I think will change the way Pestilence is played.
With Kinjalli's Caller and Tilonali's Knight spoiled I can see the possibility of a Dino Tribal deck. Let's hope we get some good dinosaurs spoiled soon!
Looks like everything is spoiled! We have some okay stuff and some good stuff.
Prying Blade might be the new equipment of choice for Caw Blade. It ramps the deck and can help get Metalcraft going if the deck runs Auriok Sunchaser
We also seem to have a smattering of decent Dinos that might help lead to a new Tribal deck in Pauper. Hopefully the next set will bring some more goodies to supplement the idea.
Prying Blade is massive for Caw Blade. I might have to reevaluate the whole deck, but the fact that it ramps, activates artifact synergies, mana fixes and it lets you tap more lands than usual and leave mana up for counterspells really changes how it operates.
Ritual of Rejuvenation is not particularly exciting by itself, but combined with Survival Cache being degraded to common, I can see some kind of white stall deck taking place.
Sailor of Means is quite respectable, really. Not quite a blue Nest Invader, but it does colourfix at least, and the stats allow it to block a fair amount of ground dudes if needed.

Perilous Research vs Costly Plunder is not as straightforward as it seems, as Perilous Research allows your opponent to respond to it by killing the permanent you wanted to sacrifice themselves, and forcing you to sacrifice something else - quite likely a land - instead. Costly Plunder also allows you to sacrifice a creature with dredge, and then use the card draws to dredge it back, milling quite effectively. This does not work with Perilous Research.

Even though they can't respond to the choice, they can still can an educated guess as to what you will sac. If you had an Ichor Wellspring in play and cast Perilous Research then I might try and Disperse it and you have to sac something else that might not give you the extra advantage. Or Counterspell it and you don't get any advantage either. If a Costly Plunder gets countered then you still get to sac the Wellspring and draw a card for your troubles.
Perilous Research is only better if you have worthwhile lands or enchantments to sac. As far as Pauper goes there aren't any good lands or enchantments that generate advantage from being sacrificed other than Reality Acid. I can think of a ton of artifacts and creatures I would want to sacrifice for advantage, so for Pauper I would choose Costly Plunder over Perilous Research.

Costly Blunder is a powerful engine with things like Ichor Wellspring or Chromatic Star.
Dual Shot kills weenies pretty well, and it's cheap.
Ixalli's Diviner is one of the potentially playable explorers. Sort of pauper friendly, Wall of Blossoms. Tishana's Wayfarer is another, though 3/3 for 3 is not particularly impressive.
