G1 pressure them fast and hard and try to counter as many spells as possible, then G2 board in Feed the Clan as it basically "counters" 3 of their burn spells with Ferocious on (which isn't hard with Mongrel, Wurm and Werebear) and some Dispel / Spell Pierce / Hydroblast if you run them.
Yeah, I definitely should. I waited up to SOI / EMN to see what new cards we got, but we got nothing. I suppose I could edit the OP and move the entire thread to the Primer section? Though Circular Logic and Arrogant Wurm are not Pauper legal.
In terms of legality, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe try offering alternatives for those cards that paper players won't use. Having a good explanation of the differences so that people understand why they are or are not legal would also be useful.
Borderland Explorer from Conspiracy2 has had some promising results. The 1 toughess backside is a little problematic but I generally see spot removal that is big enough to kill 4 toughness creatures anyways, so I'm pretty happy to see a 3 power creature that fixes and potentially activates madness for just 2 mana

It just activates it once though, which is my main concern. Also fixes mana for the opponent and helps them make land drops which might backfire if they keep a risky one-lander or something like that.
Sure there will be spots that your opponent gets to also fix, but, in testing him, I've only seen a person actually discard for a land twice in about 10-12 games. Neither of those times did it result in me losing
May not be necessary if you're only running 2 colors, but, I'm prone to playing janky decks with 3 colors or more and this guy has been pretty solid. If the deck were to open up and add Black for maybe Olivia's Dragoon and Grave Scrabbler, for example, you could have nice little engine to fix mana, thin your deck and still get an aggressive body.
Mongrel is the only free repeatable discard outlet that you'll really use more than once on the same turn anyways. Aquameoba and Dragoon don't give you much benefit for discarding more that once on any given turn, so it helps to have cards with free discard outlets, even if they just are one time use
@Pegaso5 That's really interesting take on RUG madness using Bloodmad vampire. Too bad I couldn't translate the page from what appears to be Italian to English to see his thoughts on the card selections. I just started playing pauper and made this deck and would love to hear feedback.

Lightning Bolt in conjunction with Delver, Wurm and Mongoose provides more than enough reach for us to be able to close up games even against difficult opponents like MBC, and Lightning Axe takes care of Gurmag Angler, Fangren Marauder and the myriad of 4/4's out there. Having both Basking Rootwalla and Deep Analysis as free discard outlets for Lightning Axe helps it mitigate it's drawback a lot, and having either a 2RG 4/4 with Flash and Trample that deals 5 upon ETB is a super powerful play that can turn games, and so is UR counter target spell, destroy target creature.
This might be the Tempo magic and Legacy player in me though, but needs more Daze, at least 2. Flipping Delver shouldn't be a problem with 19 cards that can flip it + Brainstorm, but Daze would up that chance too.
Hi, I've been playing RG Madness for the last few months. I really love the deck but it always lacks THE card that makes the deck work, I always end up with mana fix problems or running out of bullets before the game ends. Sadly, the card that would have made the deck work was Flameblade Adept but it was printed as Uncommon witch made me quite sad.
The list I'm currently running is:
But I think there are 3 new printed cards that might bring back UG version and I'd like you to consider them if they are worth it. I think they should be played in a Careful Study version of the deck. The cards are Cunning Survivor witch might be the replacement for Aquamoeba, the second one is Borderland Explorer and finally, Ash Barrens witch has a huge sinergy with the first card I mentioned.
I currently run a U/G version because I really value the permission from Circular Logic and other counterspells. You're right that Aquamoeba just doesn't cut it anymore, both because of changes to how damage works and because of the power creep of creatures. Borderland Explorer is okay, but the 1 toughness means it ends up trading with anything, and you often don't want to play it because your opponent has stumbled on land. I run a playset of Merfolk Looter and really like them. Once you untap with them they give you the same instant speed discard outlet as Aquamoeba, and quickly become a source of straight up card advantage. Ideally I'd like to have at least a bit of a red splash for Fiery Temper and Faithless Looting, since a lack of real removal is the deck's weakness. But 3-color is really hard to do in Pauper, so it might not be possible.
Haven't tried out Cunning Survivor yet, but it's on my list of things to test. It looks nice to force through a bit more damage against decks that go bigger than us.
