I am a big proponent of tribal decks, and their really isn't anything else as-well known in Pauper as Elves with the exception of Soldiers and Goblins. This deck plays almost exactly the same as traditional 10 Land Stompy but you have the added benefit of tribal effects such as what Timberwatch Elf utilizes.
The deck has plenty of card draw, lifegain, lots of pump and since flight normally gives full on tribal Elves issues it is negated with Spidersilk Armor.
I am just looking to share this deck and looking for input on something I may have missed. I also have a full set of Thornweald Archer, he seems like a complete shutdown creature and a auto target for removal but I am not sure what to get rid of.
If you really want to add Thornweald Archer, I'd drop Manamorphose to fit him in. I know it's there for card draw, but I'm pretty sure you're pretty good on draw without it.
I really like the idea of making a Tribal Stompy, would Wirewood Pride be a card to consider here?
hey XBM Yosho
your deck list seams good
i will share whit you the only deck I ever created that end up being more then decent, I made it for my friend who loved elves, and now he crushed all of us whit it, including me hahaha
here is the decklist
quick explaination of weird cards
-llanowar sentinel, squadron hawk in elves, yes please, and hes really easy to play early mid game thanks to mana acceleration
-commune whit nature: lets you find that missing imperious perfect or lys alana huntmaster
-quirion ranger is a all star, ( make you reuse timberwatch elf, produce more token whit imperious perfect )
the deck is really passive before turn 4 but ... your oponent will regret playing against you if he doesnt have a mass removal ( 2 domage to all creatures)

Hmm, I might consider dropping Manamorphose for him, he just seems amazing for only 2CMC. Another good creature I had also considered was the impressive body of Elvish Warrior who also only costs 2CMC.
I really like Wirewood Pride, the fact that it is an instant makes it very deadly, more so than what Timberwatch Elf can do. The only question would be what to remove for that card. I don't want to flat out just drop Timberwatch Elf though for that as a replacement because he can be deadly in a blocking or attacking scenario just not a complete surprise like an instant can be.

I really think the blue splash version with Distant Melody cast off of Birchlore Rangers and Springleaf Drum is better; with the mono-green version, an opposing creature deck that uses bears or 4/4s instead of 1/1s and has decent point removal can just outclass you by shooting down the Timberwatches; Melody just puts the opponent in an unwinnable position.

Hmm, I really like Distant Melody, I am wondering if I can still do a 10 land version of this deck but do a 6/4 split meaning 6 Island and 4 Forest.
I'll have to work on a deck list and see what I can come up with. I've seen this deck below played before and it quite honestly was one of the worst decks I have ever seen in the history of Pauper, so I wouldn't want this debacle to happen to me.
How does this new version using Distant Melody and Mob Justice stack against my original 10 land stompy version? Their is a small part of me that still thinks the 10 land is better, but I know this one can swarm faster.
Man, this thread reminds me of the time I built a 12-land Stompy deck (non-Pauper/Peasant) for IN/OD/7e Standard. My entire curve was one- and two-drops - I don't think I even ran Arrogant Wurm. Though I did run Kavu Titan, which if you can kick it (which I did a couple times!) is pretty big. I'll have to hunt down the list eventually. Didn't do *well* with it, but it was loads of fun. Had Tangle and Bind in the sideboard to play with as well.
BTW Yosho, I know ETBT is a pain, but if you're running two colours, you really should consider duals of some sort - Karoos, Guildgates, something. Your last list in this thread (pre-edit) lists 18 lands. I'd probably top out at 4 being duals of some sort. You don't want your lands to be entering tapped all the time, but being able to cast your spells is really important. What if you simply turned your Islands into Guildgates?
