Klinscy is having some things going on in the real world, I am not sure what though. He was working on the banned card thread but the moderators passed the torch to me since Klinscy said he could not finish it. So whether or not he is coming back I don't know. As for Shoebaka, seriously I miss his input.
The title is my dirty little secret... hehehe
We can help no problem, I am sure you'll do fine though. Have you played in Pauper tournaments before? I think some people just look at the "norm" of common cards and forget about the rest of the good ones, so that is their downfall when making suggestions or primers.
I've played games of pauper, but never in a tournament. I don't think you have to worry about me missing cards, I'm trying to cover as much as I can.
Sorry for the delay on this everyone, between Internet problems and real-life commitments I completely forgot about this. Which primers do you feel need taking over and who would want each one?
I'm not saying for certain that we can do it (I need to discuss it with ThatRedwood and RabidVacin) and we'd need to check with the OPs of those threads, but I certainly do think it's a good idea and feasible.
We would like to see if we could take over the Infect and Aura Primers. I volunteer to take care of the Auras, and I think XBM said he could do Infect.
It's definitely necessary to first see if the original users are willing to relinquish control of the primers. But I get the feeling they're not even active users anymore. What does it take to be considered "inactive"? a couple months without logging on?
I can certainly take the Infect primer. I have some decks I can add to it that have been sitting on the back burner for awhile in addition to a cleaner Peasant section.
I will send Catparty a message and see if I get a reply.
Hey I just wanted to let you guys/gals know that I am up to speed with your plans for the primers. Let us know if you get a response from Gumby of CatParty and then we will discuss what to do.

I PM'd CatParty on the 16th so we will see if I hear anything back from him. Though I see he has been on since then.
So this is a white equipment primer? Steel soldiers?
Yes, in a sense. It has it's variants (the deck itself could just be a death and taxes variant) but most of the cards benefit from artifacts/equipments.
How about a primer for combos? Infinite combos, draw engines, synergy, first turn kills, second turn kills (although the last two are pushing it for pauper)

That really isn't what a primer is used for, but we could possibly start to construct a thread similar to THIS one here. We could even call it basically the same thing with the exception of adding Paper Pauper and peasant in the front of it. We would first need to see exactly how many combos, loops, ect, we have to see if such a thread is justified.
Cloud of Faeries, Mnemonic Wall , and sage's row denizen all on board and then casting ghostly flicker targeting the wall and faeires. Use the faeries to untap any of the ravinca bounce lands (simic growth chamber for example) to create the mana to cast ghostly flicker again when the wall recovers it for you. The two creatures you blinked will trigger the denizen to make your opponent mill. This process can be repeated an infinite number of times since the faeries recover your mana, and the wall recovers the spell.
Should I invest the time to write a primer about decks centering around Kiln Fiend (and, in the UR-Versions, Nivix Cyclops and Wee Dragonauts)?
I would basically include mono-R, as well as UR and possibly a few other combinations - depending on whether or not I fiend decklists for those.
Oh, you think the losers' bracket is your ally, but you merely adopted the scrub tier. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t 4-0 an FNM until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but an extra pack to sell for store credit!
It's a bit inconvenient to have to look in two places to find what's nearly the same topic, I must say. I don't see much difference between this forum and the other besides a few threads pertaining only to Online situations. I suppose the fact that we have decks here that use no ban list must probably be the defining factor.

Why not link to other primers? E.g. have a thread in the primer subforum here that links to the other primer. Overall deck strategy will likely be the same if they're talking about pauper with a slightly different ban list. The thread here can talk about paper pauper, peasant, etc. card choices and matchup analyses.
Also, no storm primers? I'm hoping to make a paper pauper deck that "breaks" every Legacy-legal card from the online banlist. Need something for ETW/Grapeshot!
It seems there are quite a few decks that are in need of primers. I am by no means experienced enough to do so myself, as I just recently got into pauper. Here are the ones I can think of off the top of my head...
Mono Black Control
Goblins
Tron
Boros Kitty
Azorious Kitty
Familiars
Love Train
Blue Black Trinket
Blue Black Angler
Blue Red Delver Fiend
Pestilence
Mono Red Heroic

MBC, Goblins, Tron and Delver Fiend all have primers in the Online portion of the site. I agree it isn't particularly convenient, but they are good resources to look at if you're interested in those archetypes (some may be a bit dated).
I think we'd all love to see a primer on the deck! I don't play it often enough to write a convincing primer for it, but you should get into contact with ThatRedwood in order to get the go-ahead.
Any primer is a good idea if it is well constructed. In the past we've had a few primers that were posted and were lack luster at best. If you get the permission to write one make sure it is as complete as possible then the community can fine tune the rest.
High tide in pauper and peasant is super fun and casual while retaining modern/legacy power against favorable matchups archeomancer will never see play outside of this deck and man is he a bomb

ardent recruit, auriok sunchaser, kitesail apprentice, auriok glaviemaster, leonin den-guard, and sunspear shikari are all the main candidates.
I personally lean on the first strikers. 4 bonesplitters in a deck with creatures that gain buffs PLUS first strike may just work.
Or that's the idea. Lots of options with the deck, as I'm beginning to learn, so I have yet to discover the best.

2) Use the right number of each card.
3) Know your probabilities.
4) Print your deck lists; make yourself and your judges happier.
