I didnt see this deck anywhere else, sorry if i'm wrong. i was actually hoping to find some sonversation about mono black control. I may be playing this at ptq, let me know what you think.
This decklist is from someone at magic-league
EDIT:
now that i'm not tired, i have for you, results
Match1-Red Deck Wins
Game1
he gets an early gragradon suspended and proceeds to smash me with mogg marshalls and magus and blood knights, i damnation tapping me out. I am on 11, he taps his land, ghostfires me and then sac EVERYTHING for the gragadon hoping to kill me. Two words, Slaughter Pact.
Game2-After sidebaording in more creature kill, i kill all creatures and managed a stupor turn 3 and turn 4. Enough said.
Match2-Wild Pair Slivers
Game1
Perfect start. Turn 2 augus into stupor turn 3. knocks 2 wild pairs and a sliver and a land. He plays dormant and gets some cards back, I Damnation, followed by another Stupor. I lay down a Tombstalker, he cant answer it.
Game2- i sideboard in Extirpate and spector
He gets early gemhide into turn3 dormant into turn 4 wildpair. I reply with damnation but cannot keep up with 3-4 slivers a turn.
Game3
I get a early Augus-he discards a wild pair and a land. I extirpate the wildpair taking 2 wildpairs out of his hand!!. He makes an attempt to win without wildpair and leaves me on 4 after a disintergrate. I stupor next turn, him losing his second disintergrate(phew). He concedes.
After playing 2 rounds i have noticed cardle to grave to be useless. I will now be working on a new decklist.
It's good to see that there is still some hope for MBC out there and I can actually say that's it a strong candidate. I may very well be taking an MBC myself to the PTQ coming up.
If anyone can correct me then please do but I'm going on some assumptions here.
First of all, matchups. We need to get some specs and stats out there so that this thread can be really tweaked and twanged. Anyone who can give some matchup postings either personal or if you're a good game examiner, then please, by all means share.
Second of all, I want to get something straight. For anyone posting in here, I know it isn't my thread, but please, please, please, let's keep this MBC. I don't want to hear nor do I care about "The Rack discard is better." If it is, then open up your own thread about it. I might comment in it too :D.
Third of all, I rant too much.
As for you friend, about your deck. Might I offer for you to maybe remove the Caverns and perhaps instead toss in Terramorphic Expanse. It's fantastico when you're trying to power out that Tombstalker earlier so it can punch face faster. I know Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth just begs to be in here and that's fine. Maybe cut it to one seeing as how we don't need it like Teferi does.
Me personally, Cradle to Grave is a neat tech. But it will not help against the mirror nor will it help against Teferi. Because when they drop the little bastich, we can't play that card right then and there like we need to..and it's useless. For one mana more, we get what can slap him in the face on our turn and there isn't much they can do about it. Sudden Death. Suspended cards become laughable with Sudden Death on the board. It makes me smile. Maindeck it. Please?
Something to consider on the sideboard. Even if this is isn't the thread for it, we cannot deny The Rack is good. We just can't. Against Stormbind, it is AMAZING. Please, discard for damage, I'll hurt you more with more racks. *Cheese*Shimian Specter is a lot of fun too. My personal opinion, I would prefer some punch face value just in case. If you find he's useful, keep him, I don't know, I haven't played him with yet. Plague Sliver is just made of win at times.
Monoblack in TPF block is tier 1 - it is solid, runs the best discard 2-for-1 spells in the format (augur, stupor), and also has tendrils (aka "I Beat Aggro") - why this deck hasn't been on the forum before and stickied is beyond me. Results speak for themselves, monoblack is powerful and will show up big come PTQs.
indeed MBC is strong but has certain critical weaknesses.
1st. Its totally susceptible to Gargadon. Tendrils on my creature?? sure, i sac it in response. no life gain....and closer to burn range.
2nd. IT does not have any available card drawing spell. Aeon Chronicler can really out-draw you

1 - OK you named one card that one deck runs that can counteract one spell in the entire deck. Yes I know it hurts but then again you aren't going to be using tendrils on an opponent's creature if you really need the life. Think about it.
2 - This is very true but I think black has the strongest stand-alone spells in the format. I haven't tested the deck but it puts up great numbers on magic-league so it must have something going for it.
It's extremely strong, though it does have a major weakness as mentioned earlier in that it has no card draw. It does have card advantage though in it's 2 for 1's with Augur and Stupor.
There is a version that is on brainburst.com that got 2nd at a GPT. It ran strong discard with good control and the scrong beaters. I have a version of that myself and when I play a game I often just draw a card, sigh and reply to my opponent, "I'm going to start pummeling you now...I'm not sure when I'll stop."
harmonize isn't really a splahy card, the double green could be counter-productive to your overall gameplan. I don't know, but tarmogoyf could have a place in the deck seeing that the GB rack decks did fairly well in the east coast regionals. I wouldn't play 4 totems either, add prismatic lenses for a couple instead to speed your game up.
ok, I'm planning on playing MBC for PTQ Valencia but with this new G/W Tarmogoyf deck becomming popular, how do we deal with Mystic Enforcer. Seems like if it hits play, we're screwed. Any ideas?

damnation and smallpox.
I think splashing green is the best move for this deck, wall of roots, harmonize...
I'm not sure I'd want to play smallpox right now with Tarmogoyf being so popular. Smallpox basically gives them an outlet to give it +3/+3. Much like the deck above, I've decided to splash blue and here's what I plan on running at the PTQ....
4 Damnation 3 Slaughter pact 3 Sudden death 3 Tendrils of corruption 4 Stupor 4 Ovinize
4 River of tears 4 Terramorphic expanse 2 Urborg 10 swamps 3 islands
Ovinize in my tech vs. other korlashs, tarmogoyfs and mystic enforcer. I'd like to find a card to deal with enchantments like wild pair but I'm not sure if there's anything in B/U that can accomplish this other than bounce. Any feedback is appreciated.
still kinda debating on a sb
obviously i would have to have the strong holder to ward off mesa
also maybe some pox and some withered wretch
i can see some problems with mystic enforcer
but if the wretch is sb'd i think i can win the race
gotta test the deck, also would like some feedback

Remember that Plague Sliver picks up all their abilities too -- how often will you be paying 4 for a 7/7?
Remember, kids: Never fight with Flashback, 'cause Flashback always wins.
4x Auger of Skulls
4x Dauthi Slayer
3x Faceless Butcher (debating the tightness of this card, but with grave peril, it seems really good)
2x Tombstalker
2x Nihilith
4x Stupor
3x Tendrils of Corruption (maybe sudden death)
3x Bad Moon
3x Extirpate
2x Shrouded Lore

that cantrips and has defender?
I was playing this deck online and it went horrible. I get to good board position, then they gain too mmuch card advantage and stables on 5-10life
