Clownfish started a similar thread, but he hasn't updated it for a week so I thought I would start one. I will edit in results as they happen (TS block tournaments are usually on Tuesday and Friday).

Sorry for the double post, but am going to try to keep the original post as organized as possible.
Friday's PE was pretty interesting. This was the first mono red build I've seen so far, although I thought it would show up eventually. Gauntlet of Power + Disintegrate is very strong, and he was also running Dragonstorm and Empty the Warrens. He got Jaya out a few times, but I'm not sure if it was sided in or if he played it main deck. She's very good against WW and U/G, but it doesn't seem good against the mirror or R/B and R/B/U control. I didn't see Ib Halfheart anywhere, but I wouldn't be suprised if he was using it.
The U/G version seems to be the best of all the decks built around abusing Vesuvan Shapeshifter. The three decks in top 8 used Fathom Seer, Thelonite Hermit, and of course Brine Elemental. I believe all three also used Wall of Roots.
The Reanimator deck was another new one, and it seems pretty competitive. It used Careful Consideration, Lightning Axe, and Looter-il Kor to get Akroma, Hellkite, and Avatar of Woe into the graveyard. It also played Shadowmage Infiltrator and Strangling Soot. Perhaps Mono black aggro with Withered Wretch will start to become popular again to combat this deck.
I was thinking a R/W deck with Desolation Giant and Magus of the Disk would be a pretty good counter to all of the Shapeshifter decks. They rely on getting a bunch of morphs into play, and R/W has the Wrath effects to make them pay.
Variety is whats going to make this block popular. Even with only the one set out, and so many different decks coming from that one set, we are sure to see tons more decks coming out that will shock and awe us ( barring WW doesnt get help and become even better). Clearly, Shapeshifter is going to be big in the block, so many people will have to start creating decks that beat that. As stated before, so far W/R seems to be capable. It just needs the right list.
The WW that made the finals this Tuesday was pretty teched out. He had Gaze of Justice (maindeck I think), Mangara, and Evangelize (I assume both of those were sideboarded. There was also a deck I haven't seen before, G/B/R Slivers. This format looks pretty healthy, I hope I get the chance to play in one of these Premier Events once finals are over.
