The Replica is just awsome, making several early game blocks before saving Stag from Skin Render or bouncing a Wurmcoil. He was Trinket Mage and most likely will be again with some new targets aside from Chimeric Mass.
Horizon Spellbomb is one of the few ways to generate card advantage. If you don't have a green for the first card draw you can get the Forest with it to turn on the others.
Disperse is just way to imporant even if it's so plain. Volition Reins is a great answer to everything but most importantly Kuldotha Phoenix.
My suggestion is to focus on dealing with infect flyers before ground-pounders. Crusader only really blanks Vatmother, so unless you plan to aggro Infect out, Clasp/Arrest is probably better. I say Clasp because it's so elegant against the 2 drops, works with Magnet and blink effects, and is a legitimate answer to Hand.
I have seen several other results recently as well. The Marrow Shards are quite good against Steel.dek that doesn't have steel on board or one where you revoked the Steel
For the mirror match... t4 hero and win..typically people will sb out the dismember.. and if u don;t land the elspeth with something to back it up next turn u are s good as dead.
Not sure if they are used vs other control matchups... there are not many around anyway..

I don't think they would side out dismember. I think more likely they would side out Divine Offering and Steel Sabotage for Hero and Dispense Justice. At least that is what would make sense to me. Dismember is still too good not to use, especially if both of you get an angel/sphinx on the board. Otherwise they just bounce off each other
Koth is obviously the toughest card to deal with in their deck. Feel free to Steel Sabotage or Divine Offering their artifact acceleration so they don't get him on turn 3, since you pretty much lose unless you have Disperse. The rest of their deck is fairly easily to deal with (if you are running a similar list to thhe one doing wsell on MODO like I am).
Monored player here. The longer the game goes, the more likely it is that the UW player wins. Kill acceleration, so the MonoRed player can't go t3 koth, t4 Phoenix and you should be fine. Plus remember that this would be the nutdraw and observe how long your opponent takes to mulligan. Sphinx is really hard to kill and usually wins you the game.

Agreed. Phoenix is probably Public Enemy #2 due to having haste, flying over our Elspeth Tokens, and the recursion. However, if you can keep them off of Metalcraft, you only have to deal with him once. Also, Sunblast Angel and Sphinx can block him all day, just be prepared for a Galvanic Blast or Volt Charge post-combat to take your guy out.
Hi all. I am at odds here and would appreciate some advice. So maybe I am not playing the deck wisely or not taking a mulligan often enough but I have been testing the deck and seem to be rolled over by Steel unless I star my hand with a divine offering AND a sabotage. In any other scenario I am in big trouble (specially with them on the play). I know shard are available sb... but even then life can get complicated if they get a fast hand (which is quite often it seems) complemented with a timely steel. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Note: I am a UB player so I have access to more removal AND black sun zenith to deal with the early rush and even with that deck the fast hands can be difficult. With the UW I really don't see a way out.

Sometimes they just draw the nuts on the play and there isn't much we can do about it. I have 2 Disperse and 1 Revoke Existence maindeck as "answers" to a resolved Tempered Steel. Game 1, you just need to try and survive the early turns as long as possible, but I also have 2 maindeck Oculus to help block some of their dudes, and then replaces himself in my hand. Sometimes blocking a 5/3 on turn 3 is exactly what you need to do in order to save yourself some life points until you can stabilize.

This is a given. Any deck that gets to the point where they are trying to topdeck against U/W control is in a losing position. As the control player, you can simply sit there until you have enough mana to cast a sphinx or angel with counter backup. Remember, Psychic Barrier is your friend in many of the matchups. I personally have a few copies of that in my sideboard. You also have access to Corrupted Conscience and Reins.......which means if necessary you can reins a Koth. Obviously it is possible for them to get Koth to ultimate before you can cast reins in the beginning of the game, but I am more talking about a Koth that comes out later in the game. It will generally be a better idea to reins the Koth and save your counter. The best they can do is basically play another to kill the one you have. Basically hang on to as many counters as you can for Red Sun's Zenith, which will eventually become one of their only outs. HOWEVER, remember you can win at even one life :p.

Perilous myr has extremely dropped in value now.. most tempered steel decks have dropped the number of ground attackers they run. It will at best stall out memnite draws and prevent them from attacking until they have a steel.

At least it will delay them which will be in UW advantage since they dont have any answer to turn 6 Consecrated Sphinx.
A 7 mana wrath effect (and might not even be if they have Tempered Steel out) is not a good option against an extremely fast deck. Elesh Norn is a limited bomb, a good reanimator target against Merfolk in legacy, and I think it ends there.
Yer assuming they have metalcraft by that point, which with Marrow Shards and Revokes from the Sideboard is no sure thing. Also, I really rather doubt a U/W player would honestly play a Sphinx without any way of countering a Dispatch they are worried about.
This build just won me a daily 4-0 with a game drop each match. Which is hilarious because all the creatures there were to just keep me from dying before turn 5 when I face W Steel, and also to face the mirror better. I encountered no UW decks, and only 1 W Steel that was a lot slower than the ones I usually face.
Also my current build is a bit different now, after testing I really didn't like the Porcelains or the Thopters. But the Skyguards really help against the mirror, considering the lack of answers before turn 6.

Speaking as a MB Infect player, I'd say in this order, although I haven't seen Mirran Crusader yet:
1. Magnet-Sunblast combo
2. Contagion Clasp
3. Arrest
4. Elspeth Tirel

Take a look at the list that got some 4-0s and 3-1s in online daily events and think about what you would take out to put in Elesh Norn :).
