I know, total noob question here, but, I don't understand Heretic's Punishment in the Jund sideboards/ Is this for uncounterable damage vs control, or to kill litle dudes against aggro? What does this come in against?

I actually find it to be very useful against non-control decks as well, in particular RW. Unless they can play more than one creature per turn, you can pretty reliably keep their side of the battlefield completely clear once Punishment hits the table. But I do agree that its primary purpose is to provide some inevitability in control mirrors.
It's far from universally used in control sideboards though, so clearly not everyone thinks it's the answer.
Heretic's Punishment is a hard-to-kill way of turning mana into damage; it's inevitability, basically. It's obviously there for control match-ups and in the mirror. Aggro decks shouldn't lose to Heretic's Punishment if they are functioning well, though, since that card is just too slow; Blasphemous Act is much better at stabilising against aggro. It's not a terribly good card in Constructed, but there aren't that many other cards that emulate its role, and the ones that do usually need a lot of support to do so. The alternative are the nonbasic lands like Moorland Haunt, although those are usually maindeck.
It's similar to how I run Burning Vengeance in the sideboard of an UR deck that is not a Burning Vengeance deck, purely for inevitability against control and Burning Vengeance decks themselves.

On average, Magic players are worse at new card evaluation than almost every other skill, except perhaps sideboarding.

Exactly, Heretic's Punishment in the control/mirror is pretty insane. It adds a nother needed wincon and can help you either finish them off or get them into DP range. I'm really feeling it so far in the Ravings Jund variant.
