I think since about SOM and up the MTGO and paper sets have been near the same price for the complete set so your not going to profit from it that much or at all if you do.
What if your goal was to buy 4x of a set, going through MTGO isn't a good idea, even then?
If you want to buy 4 complete sets and you live in the US, then MTGO is definitely the best way to do it. The complete sets on MTGO are significantly cheaper than the paper sets and the shipping cost is not enough to make up the difference.
I most of them are still active. Ones listed under 64 commons per account are questionable. One of them I've seen on and off and one other seems to be on once in a while and the third I think is unactive. Don't remember which ones they are though. Also adding another free bot to the list: Academy_QuizBot.
Marlonbot are the best bots hands down. Allthough Im not sure if they trade (card for card). 100% stocked all the time and seem to be the cheapest especially for Legacy Staples. I do not work for them this is just from a couple years experience playing/trading/buying on MTGO.

YES, WE KNOW THAT IT WILL BE GREAT IN YOUR EDH DECK.
Kudos to you information hoarders, sharing the wealth.
I originally made this thread for the "trade for X cards to get Y cards" bots to help get more cards to them for newer sets so I could get the new staples from them instead of being about a stet or two behind. Also the info is helpful as well.
Just added well known bots to the first post. Let me know what ones I've missed so I can try to add them. I re-read all the posts here to update the first post.
What is the best strategy for buying bulk commons from bots? (Y'know, the crappy, cheap ones) Should I shop from only one bot for the sake of credits and suck it up when I get a little duped on one card here and there? Or buy from three or four different bot brands and find the best deals along with guaranteeing they have the card, and save credit with all of them?
The latter seems wiser to me on paper but I'm just curious.
EDIT: Does each bot in a bot system (exp: MTGTradersonline) have all the same cards?
About Frox: for nearly 10 years, Frox has been helping women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories.
Well if your going to the jank commons i would recommend hitting up the free bots and then trade with one of the other 1 for 1 or whatever kind of bots. If your looking for the not so jank stuff then going through a chain bot would be recommended also same thing for the top end commons as well.
No not all the bots in a chain will have all the same cards. So if you want say 4x Jace, The Mind Sculptor you might be able to find them only one one of there say 4 bots. You might also have to get one copy at a time from 4 different bots cause they all only have one each. This is were going and buying form there website (if they have one) helps out alot especially on top end cards.

Well, I noticed a lot of the 1:1 bots didn't have a lot of the commons I was looking for. I've been checking chain bots, I'm cool with using those.
I'd prefer to use Tickets accumulated through buying and selling back over Paypal when it comes to getting cards, so I'd rather not check their sites.

Very much want to highly recommend the Caravan group of bots. They are not the only, but the only consistent bots that I came across that start at buying 4 for 1 rares, then 6 for 1, 8 for 1 and 12 for 1 (good prices for uncommon and common as well). Once my high priced rares were all sold, I moved to each of these bots and still got fair prices (.25 each, .16, .125 etc) where nearly every other bot was only offering about a nickel each. They also share credit and can easily be found by just searching for "caravan."

if you don't mind please add Academy_Sellbot, Academy_Sellbot2, and Academy_Budgetbot to your list. We are a reputable MTGO content website and offer great support. Thanks!
I can vouch. They have 90% of the cards anyone will need for Pauper.
I am confused. When I was looking at the classifies, each bot only has like 10ish cards listed, is that the only cards they have for trade/sale? How do I look at their other cards?

You need to open a trade to see their full collections. Depending on the bot, you'll see reduced collections but there's lots of bots with almost every card online in stock.

Your only allowed 255 characters so thats why you see about 10 cards listed. Those are usually hot cards people are looking for. So instead of opening every bot to see there price they have it listed to help advertise there bot. To see what they have just open a trade to see everything they have.
Right click on there name in the classifieds to add them to buddies list or you trade with them. From there follow there instructions on how to trade with them as not all bots have the same instructions.
for selling I highly raccomend the alliance of creatures bot (dragonbot, elfbot, etc...)
They are not mine, It's the chain that pays better (in my limited experience)
Do you know or have a list of all the "creature" bots chain? I've had some pretty good experience with them myself back when they came out around a year ago.
I will also put in a good word for the creature bots chain. They almost always have the best price, and they're not restricted to buying creatures. I've sold painlands, plainswalkers, etc. as well to them.
I usually try to get a human buyer but failing that, creature bots is where I go first. The one I tend to use is "dragonbot" but you can search "creature bots" on classifieds and a few will show up. I've also noticed that they're almost always stocked full with tickets, unlike some bot chains with good prices that 9/10 times will have 2-3 tickets left from filling their daily quota quickly.
Does anybody know what happened to the ASquaretrade 1:1 bots? They haven't been on in awhile and I used to use them to get basic land I needed.

Checked them out and they seem pretty good an LOVE how you have your site layout with the buy and sell price for regular and foils and quantity of each in stock. I'm going to wait on this as you seem very new so we don't know how well you are in the long run and could use voucher for you as well.

I think there taking another long break like before. From the looks of there ad posts they seem to do this for a long time and I guess kind of often-ish. Hope they come back soon with new stock or something. Also don't forget to check some of the card for card type bots listed in first post to help you on your quest.
