It is not available for Mac yet. I have an iMac running bootcamp with windows 7 64bit and it works fine but there's no way to run it natively on osx yet as far as I know
There is no OS version, but you can load windows onto your mac to play.
You'll need to use either bootcamp or a program such as virtualbox, but yes it can be run on a mac (note that you still need to get your hands on a copy of windows to do this).
I also highly suggest you have a mouse with two button controls as well (instead of, say, a trackpad).
I have used virtualbox for a long time on my laptop and it has basically been fine -- the resolution isn't optimal but it does work.

I've been curious about this. I've been thinking about getting into MTGO but my wife and I both use Macs. Which laptop are you running it on? Also did you give any of the paid virtual machine apps a try (Parallels and VMWare Fusion) before settling on virtualbox?
We've got one computer set up with boot camp but if its even easier to do itvirtualized that would beat having to boot and re-boot and all that.

there are many players who virtualize. In fact, there's a thread on the wiz forums about it.
As long as you have a decent setup you should be fine, and remember to update your .NET/DirectX and run MTG:O in software rendering mode
