I think Dredge is a matchup Delver decks must sideboard for in order to do well against it. That said, we have access to some nice tools in Surgical Extraction and Rakdos Charm, the latter of which is live even when the Dredge player has managed to vomit out a bunch of creatures.

The strongest tool i think we have is crypt incursion.
I stopped reading when he says "Merfolk: Kevin Jones thinks this is the deck’s worst matchup, though I think it’s fairly even, maybe slightly favorable"
Oh please, i would pay for having a "fairly even" matchup against merfolk! I think too it is our worst matchup, worst than tron!
I don't think it's that bad. Feels like 45-55 maybe. You just need to draw lots of removal, and then it's perfectly winnable.
Ceremonious Rejection seems interesting to me. It might not be that good against Affinity or Eldrazi, but it seems really nice against Tron, which is pretty common at my LGS.
It counters 21 of their cards as early as their turn two. They only run 4 caverns. They can't cast TKS on turn 2 with an active cavern. It also counters Spellskite and EE.
Aether vial and cavern of souls completely enable out counterspell, kira and master of waves are very hard to handle, islandwalk is always activated. I have never felt that it was a 45-55 matchup
Kolaghan's Command, Vandalblast, Smash to Smithereens, Rakdos Charm, Crumble to Dust, Molten Rain, Engineered Explosives, Surgical Extraction... You gotta know where to hit them.

Crumble to Dust and Molten Rain against Merfolk? What madness is this? They'll laugh at you for trying to interact with their lands so late in the game. Playing the mana denial strategy against an Æther Vial deck that also has counterspells is an exercise in futility. The fact of the matter is this is a very difficult matchup in which you should lean hard on Engineered Explosives and any postboard removal you can bring in, and dump any and all 2-mana countermagic you can rid yourself of.
Artifact hate combined with non-basic land hate will shut them out. Board out Delver completely and go control. Get their Aether Vials first, then get their Caverns and Mutavaults. GG.

At which point you've spent 3+ turns hitting the lands of a deck that revolves around 2-drops while they punch you in the face. This is also when I point out that the majority (or at least a plurality) of the lands in your garden-variety Merfolk deck are Islands. I don't think this is a good plan. Your best bet is to play a Jund-esque removal-heavy midrange plan and hope that Engineered Explosives or Kolaghan's Command give you the opportunity to surge ahead. Alternatively, you can tempo them out by sticking an early Delver/Tasigur/Angler and then kill anything that comes up to block it/hit you back, but that's one Harbinger of the Tides away from getting set back in a major way.
I think it's risky. Depending on the rest of the meta to hate the deck out and on catching the Conflagrate with a Mana Leak in the case that you do bump into it could work, but I would feel a lot more comfortable rocking some Rakdos Charms at the very least.

you just dont want to be relying on counterspells when they run 4 cards (for free) that ruin these cards you plan to bring in. your sideboard cards all need to have a very high impact in this format.
This is so true. You generally are boarding out counterspells against tribal decks because of that land. You can't afford to take something out for your counterspell, and then have them open with Cavern. The blowout is too much.
Against Tron, this spell would indeed be very good. But then you would be having these in your precious 15 for just 1 match up, then. And given the aggro format we're sitting in, I can't say its a good idea. Not for now.

1 kolaghan comm
1 dispel
1 flashfreeze
1 countersquall
1 izzet staticaster
1 damnation
2 vampirinc link
1 spell skite
As you may notice there are 61 cards cause I am playing 21 lands cause many times i do not see them enough but I am thinking to eliminate one. Which one do you think?
-basic mountain (i got only 1 scalding tarn and 1 bloodstained mire)
-1 fetch land (probably a flooded strand)
-sulfur falls
-darkslick shores
I am thinking about the basic mountain also considering the future UR fastland!
Thanks for the opinions!
I would personally consider cutting atleast 2x Remands, I don't know your meta game, but in any sort of meta game where your likely to play against merfolk, affinity, death's shadow, hatebears, etc Remand is just bad. I would also take a look at the write up that Ryan Overturf did on Modern Nexus as your lists are fairly similar.

@rick90 you can cut one island, you only need 2. Also what they said above about the remands... you could consider another spell snare and a countersquall
There are currently no copies of Blood Moon in my side-board.
While I don't think a single instance where a card is bad is a reason to completely remove it, I do agree that Blood Moon doesn't seem all that workable in a 3-color deck with a landbase that looks like we should be playing Death's Shadow.

I'm not a big Blood Moon fan either. I've found Fulminator Mage to be much better. You can clock your opponent with it and recur it with Kolaghan's Command.

It's basically Counterspell for against 4 tier archetypes (Tron, Eldrazi, Affinity, Lantern). Sideboard staple, for sure.
