Dreadbore over terminate goes without saying at this point. It was already close as dreadbore helps against tron, BGx, and Chandra. Now its a great 1 maybe even 2 of maindeck. Also 4 thoughtseize before ANY iok. Burn may tick up a bit, so keep that in mind though.
I have GP Lyon coming up this weekend and I tested a lot and decided to give Mardu Pyromancer a try. I've browsed the WWW for information and found that you all had some success with the deck, so I wanted to ask you some questions.
What would you change? I am not a fan of Blood Moon maindeck and I think Lilly is just better. Do you bring in Surgical against Tron or do you want to just delay it? I found out that playing Pyromancer turn 2 and just beating down is the best way of fighting and I did pretty good (even against Chalices on 1).
So yeah general advices for my list or do you think I am good to go?

I'm not huge on the Abrade but some people seem to be gravitating towards it.
I'm also a big advocate of 19 lands. Getting that extra spell into the deck seems to have made it slightly more consistent for me. Also personal opinion.
Last thing, I like 4 Inquisition of Kozilek and 3 Thoughtseize but again, that personal preference.
You list looks pretty solid. Good luck this weekend. I will be competing in Indianapolis this weekend in the SCG Modern Open. I'll be piloting a similar list.
I am going to test some things tonight at the LGS Tuesday Night Modern. I really wanna hammer down some cards that didn't perform/ over performed. see if I can't make some incremental improvements in some otherwise poor match ups.
Ok so I went 3-1 tonight with the deck I posted above.
Round 1 - Titan Shift - 2-0
This match up I thought was going to be bad but it turns out if you strip their hand in the first few turns, they top deck mostly lands or ramp spells. The match wasn't particularly close.
Round 2 - Grixis Grislebrand - 2-0
I felt like at any moment I could have died.
Game 1 I basically had him in top deck mode while I was pressuring. As the game went on, he was able to get some cards back in hand and I felt like at any moment, he was going to combo me. He eventually fetched from 7 to 6 life while holding 2 cards in hand. I double bolted for the win. Basically, I took the risk at this point. I hadn't seen a green card and he was running Blue in the deck. I assumed that he wasn't on the shoal version of the deck.
Game 2 was a lot closer. I Surgical Exctractioned his Through the Breaches and left him with only Goryo's Vengeance. He was able to get an Emrakul attacked me down to 1 life and leaving me with only Bedlam Reveler on board. After about 4-5 turns I was able to close the game out without him drawing anything relevant.
Round 3 - Tron - 0-2
Match wasn't even close. Nothing special to explain here. He absolutely crushed me.
Round 4 - Burn - 2-1
Game 1 I won. Opponent top decked a bunch of lands and I was at like 12 life or something absurd. Easy win.
Game 2 I kept a 1 lander and got severely punished.
Game 3 I mulled to 5 and ended up winning basically ont he back of Kambal and 2 Collective Brutality.
I think I am going to cut the Rakdos Charm in the board and add another Dread Bore. Not sure that is correct but it'll feel fine to have another removal spell in the board.

Yea what I would recommend, put you main deck into you deck box, sign the slip and walk away. lol
For real though, I think some land disruption is good but basically you either have to have your clock on the table when you start blowing up their lands or you'll likely die before you get the chance to kill them.
What I would suggest bringing in is obviously you molten rains, wear // tears, Liliana, and surgical could come in if you want to try and lock them out of tron for the rest of the game. So basically what I did was sided out the fatal pushes, 1 lingering souls, both collective brutalities, and 2 lightning bolts.
I like to bring in wear // tear in the match up because I know they are still going to play Wurmcoil and I leave in bolts because they will help deal with the 3/3's left behind from the wurmcoil or help take out a thragtusk.
Has anyone tested out our matchup against Jund or Jace decks?
Jace just seems like an auto-loss card, since we need to either have a dreadbore in hand when they cast him turn 4, or have them sticking next to each other so when one gets fatesealed we draw the other. Fetching to upset the fateseal MIGHT allow us a tiny extra percentage points but it's still abysmal.
Jund is another grindy midrange matchup that we're just not favorable against. It is worth noting that bloodbraid elf actually can be killed not only with bolt, but with CB/Kommand. That gives us some play with it (Note that if they cascade into a discard spell, the bloodbraid won't be in play when the TSeize/IoK resolves so you can't go "response kill BBE")

The dream would be a molten rain into surgical extraction, but they still can do a lot more damning things with 6 and 7 mana than we can. They also have ratchet bomb and EE to completely neuter our token horde plan. Winning is possible but requires their deck to cooperate (read: fizzle) and us to curve out like gods.

Yea I suspect that if I play against a lot of tron, I won't be doing a lot of winning. Oh well. I'm pot committed to the deck for this event. I will also probably be on the deck for the foreseeable future as I think it will hold up well against the first round of these Jace decks that are about to flood the meta.
Edit: I have always been a Blue Control player and with my Jaces out of the closet and dusted off, I am ready to play them but I think we will be getting some free wins on bad deck builds for the next few weeks. So, I am going to soak up all the "your Jace deck didn't work the way you wanted too" free wins as possible.
I'm tempted to trim something to put one more Manamorphose because it felt so powerful.
But at the same time, the 4th Bolt seems the right thing to do in the new Jace and BBE world, IMO.
Back then, I didn't dare to play Death's Shadow without Street Wraith but it felt fine until now. Dismember aid's the life loss plan, it's easy on the mana, kill delver creatures, etcetera.
Apologies the messy visualization of the deck, I'm on my phone.

Have you considered Claim // Fame in the deck ?
It can reanimate both DS and Pyro which happen to die a lot (and have some utility from the GY).
Also I have found Bedlam Reveler hard to cast quite often and drawing multiples can be a problem so 4x Pyro and 3x Reveler seems like a better split imho.
Another idea I have is maybe to add a copy of Rally the Peasants to the deck as it can work really well with Lingering Souls and Pyro tokens to close out the game and can be cast from the GY after being pitched earlier to Looting.
What do you think ?
So BBE and JTMS just got unabnned, how bad is that for us?

Do you know what his updated list for the GP was?
Wouldn't Night's Whisper/Sign in Blood be better in the deck over Manamorphose and also help with DS and offset the card disadvantage of Looting ?
