so crazy idea. how does anyone feel about running ensnaring bridge or Ghostly Prison in our sideboard for those terrible merfolk match ups.
are there any other control based enchantments worth considering. I realize this is not normal for a sideboard but I'm trying to think outside the box.
I think Ensnaring Bridge is definitely a decent SB option for decks like Merfolk or Elves. The only problem is that it doesn't deal damage and tapping out on T3 to play it, only to have it mana leak'ed or remand'ed would be devastating. For that reason alone I prefer Volcanic Fallout since it can't be countered.
If your meta is Infested with Merfolk/Elves/Tokens, you can probably run 1-2 copies in addition to Fallout.
im playing atarka red standard and was thinking if we can add become immense + battle rage combo in our naya burn list? or at least the become immense since our graveyard is heavy with fetch lands.
I'm playing 1 become immense as a fun-of
We don't actually need Temur Battle Rage since we have Boros Charm that can give Double Strike, (and unlike TBR it won't be dead if you don't have a creature)

"What's your plan?" Gideon asked.
"Are you serious?" Chandra replied.
I'm not a fan of Become immense since our creatures don't have trample and by the time you cast it, our opponent will most likely have some sort of board presence and be blocking by then.
Become Immense also requires a creature in play, which is not always going to happen. If you want delve cards, I honestly believe Gurmag Angler to be the best choice, even though it's awkward, and plays differently to regular burn.
Good point about remand. Hmm I may try it. So another lgs buddy pointed out another card for sb felidar cub over war priest of Thune? And wear and tear.
Wear/Tear is better than both of those cards you mentioned by a long shot.
On another note: Does anyone have good (recent) Modern Burn articles I could add to the Articles section? I think Nevel0 wrote one a while back but I couldn't find it.
Thank you for including alternate builds in primer; very helpful to me, as a new-er burn player. I've been playing around with both mardu & naya, but I can't settle on one over the other. In mardu, I love Bump in the Night , Rakdos Charm , & Self-inflicted Wound. On the other hand,Destructive Revelry and Atarka's Command are just too good not to have in the 75. How feasible is it to lightly splash for a total of 4 colors (R/W/gb)? I want to keep the splashes modest, so I'm thinking about x2 Bump & Command, 4x Revelry, and x1 Rakdos Charm & Wound. I have play sets of all fetches & shocks, so the mana base won't be constrained financially, but I'm curious as to what mana base cards would be most efficient?
The primer suggest ~10-12 fetches, so I'm thinking that I'd want to put that number closer to 12. After that, these are some of the questions that I'm pondering: Should I run single copies of both Blood Crypt & Stomping Grounds and then 2+ Sacred Foundry? What's the optimal number of basic mountains, if any? Will I want to look into cards like Copperline Gorge, Clifftop Retreat, etc? I really appreciate any suggestions you folks might have. Thanks.
How does everyone feel about stealing Grixis Delver's strategy and putting Spirit Link in our sideboard for the mirror instead of kor firewalker?
neutralizes a threat for 1 mana, turns firewalkers into Dragon's claws, but when it goes on an opposing Eidolon can win games?

I don't think it's a good idea. You can easily get 2 for 1'ed if they bolt the creature. Firewalker is much better because of the pro Red (it can only be path'ed) and the consistent lifegain when ANYONE casts a red spell.

You can definitely try to go 4 color but if your meta is aggro heavy you're going to have a very difficult time. Also, on 20 lands there's a good chance you'll only have 2 fetches and not be able to fetch for your 4th color.
If you wanted to try it I would suggest the following mana base:
I don't like Clifftop Retreat as 1 in hand with a basic mountain means you have no access to green. There's a good chance your opening hands will be weird or you're not able to fetch for your 4th color. Burn is a deck that relies on consistency and by splashing a 4th color you're not really gaining much power and losing a lot of consistency. Then again, if you're only playing local FNM events it's worth a shot but I wouldn't try it at a competitive event.
Any build should have at least 2 basic mountains so you can fetch them out and take less damage, or grab one if your creatures get Path'ed.
Which is the best iteration for burn as of the moment? If you guys are going to join a GP blindy, which would you choose? RWg splash for revelry, Naya/Atarka Burn, Nacatl Burn, or Mardu Burn? Thanks!

Naya Burn either with or without Nacatl have the most consistent high place finishes at big events. Refer to the primer for the Nacatl vs Non-Nacatl versions of the deck. Also, you can find my Burn deck (non-Nacatl) in my Sig for reference.
You dont need fetches in a mono-red build. However as Jex said, it will give more fuel to your Lavamancer as well as help thin the deck and improve your draws. It all depends on how competitive you want to get; If mono-red without fetches wins you games and an FNM or 2, then don't bother investing in fetches.
If you decide to invest in fetches, you might as well go RWg or full Naya/Jund/Mardu.

If you want, you can use my mono-red list. This is the list that I actually play in real life, it's been tested a pretty fair amount. I thought I'd offer it up in case you wanted one that's been played over one that was created just to fill a space in the primer hole. If you want it, here you go:
I guess that doesn't really answer my question. I know revelry takes care of enchantments as well as artifacts. I was referring to ancient grudge and smash to smithereens when I asked if the extra artifact hate was necessary. I wouldn't touch the revelries, but I wondered how people felt about running that much hate even if affinity and lantern are to be expected. Are those match ups that tough for burn to leave out something like rending volley is what I meant to get across.
But you are probably right that the Chandra should be the first thing to go.
My pleasure!

What deck are you talking about? http://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=10997&d=262592&f=MO ?
No, you shouldn't run Destructive Revelry, Smash to Smithereens, and Ancient Grudge all in your sideboard - that's just insane unless you're expecting a lot of affinity...
I used to run 2/2 Destructive Revelry/Rending Volley. I dropped the Volleys and just run 4 Revelrys now. No issues.
