I couldn't do 4 Kolaghan's Command. I can see how if you already had Liquimetal Coating on the board, could getting pretty crazy. I guess you could make a tapped permanent an artifact and have Nahiri remove it. Running 8 cards that remove artifact while playing a 1-2 cards that makes permanent artifact. Overall seem a synergy that would need to be built around.
elves and merfolk is either very good or challenging as single target removal is not great. depends on what you draw and how much mass removal you play.

Any people having success with Asylum Visitor? Dark Confidant is the only thing really keeping me from switching over to Mardu Nahiri since he often wins game on its own against deck like Bant Eldrazi, Merfolk or Elves. If you cast Asylum Visitor through Lili's +1 or Nahiri's +2, you get sort of card advantage. It doesn't bloke like Wall of Omens but it can attack for 3 on empty board and has a pretty high ceiling. Will try a mix of 2 Asylum/2 Wall of Omens on cockatrice when I have some spare time.

^ I don't think Bob makes/breaks this deck. I feel that wall of omens + painful truths is enough. Shoot look at a recent SCG 1st place finish: he/she doesn't run a single wall or bob. Just a couple of Kalitas :3
As for Asylum Visitor (as much as I adore vampires and this card in particular) I feel is too inconsistent. It ends up just being a vanilla 3/1 70% of the time :/ but that just been my experience.

I know he doesn't makes/breaks the deck but he is the Best 2 drop mardu has access and often wins games on its own when left unchecked.
Yes, I've been running a midrange/token build pretty successfully for close to a year now. Played a win-some-expeditions, FNM, 2 PPTQs and a GPT last weekend, and I feel the deck is really well positioned in the current meta as it has less polarised match-ups compared to the full-on control builds (more game against combo, weaker against midrange/control, it also fits my playstyle a lot more). In those five events (Thursday to Sunday) I went 5-0, 3-0-1, 2-3 drop, 3-1-1 and 5-1 (2nd PPTQ, lost in quarters to Suicide Zoo, first seed after the swiss, won 2 goyfs :)), which is exactly a 75% win rate discounting draws in a pretty damn competitive field (sans FNM).
My match-ups in the 2nd PPTQ were:
R1 vs Junk - win
R2 vs Jund - win
R3 vs Bogles - loss
R4 vs Bogles - win
R5 vs Infect - win
R6 vs Affinity - win
I would play 2-3 Lili otVs if I had access to them and the wrath should be a Damnation (19b sources vs 17w). Generally, the following cards are flex slots in the main: Grim, the 2 walkers, Unmaking, Command, Brutality while i would see the remaining 28 spells as the definite core for this particular build of Mardu. Happy to answer any other questions and if you haven't, give this build a try cause it's really sweet and very well positioned in the current linear meta (very tuneable as well).
Congratz for the results! I also wanted to try a list similar to your with a couple of Monastery Mentor instead of the walkers.
This is my list right now, went 4-0 (jund, jund 4colour, ffinity and dredge) and 4-1 (win against scapeshift, human tribal, bad elves deck, affinity and lost to burn) in the last 2 event I went with it.
I've been playing bob for about 50-60 games for now and even if I was spectical at first it is really good in this deck. 90% of the time he will die to removal in the first 2 turn ( a removal that wont hit your planeswalker or your manlands and if he stick he will give you the game. I lost so far 1 games cuse of him, 2 nahiri and a lili flip, but he gave me at least 10 games.
Also when you think of it, Jund usally play four 4-drop same in here. Sure there is Emrakul, but greatness at any cost after all
I played fnm last night with nahiri control. went 1-2 but mostly due to my mistakes. blech. However, I played against 4 color doubling season walker build. He mulls to 5 has a basically garbo hand. I have a decent but sketchy hand. I play t2 bob. t3 reveal emrakul....go to 5. next turn reveal nahiri go to 1. Here I'm hurting on mana, a blood crypt and GQ and vault of archangel. I have to GQ my vault to get a land I need. I end up pathing bob which i desperately needed and from there killed his birds and killed his lands. Good ol 4 color decks and some tight play.
TL:DR. flipped emrakul to bob. still won

So it's official, we have enemy fastlands coming out with Kaladesh being spoiled and all, so.... is Blackcleave cliffs still our best option, or are the R/W and B/W ones worth checking out?

not that the R/W or B/W ones are bad for us, but B/R gives us painless access to bolt, and Inquisition on Turn 1.
both of the new ones would give access to path on turn 1, and Path to Exile is typically a card we're not too keen on casting in the first turn on two if possible.

So i guess mardu control ignores the new fastlands? I do hope this means that they reprint enemy fetches
Best Fastland for us is still Blackcleave, allow us bolt or discard T1. About ennemy fetches, I don't believe they will print Fetches AND Fastlands in the same set.
Lol the chances of them reprinting the enemy fetches this year is very slim. Blackcleave Cliffs is more important than the BW or RW fastlands but those may still be very playable in this deck.
I wanted to post my decklist. I've recently built this deck, coming from Grixis, Jeskai, Esper and Faeries (and all variants in these colors). I've been trolling the MTGO tourney practice for the last 2 weeks, yesterday I decided to try out the 2 mans and went 6-0. Planning to try a modern league with it soon. I run a creature/token value build. Passing on the Nahiri combo, which I quite like in Jeskai, for a more aggressive build. One issue I have is that in our colors we have AMAZING burn and with Nahiri combo it more or less nullifies that advantage, so I forgo the "I win" button for better Tron and combo matchups.
2-0 vs Infect
2-1 vs Grixis Delver
2-1 vs Scapeshift
2-0 vs Burn
2-0 vs Small Zoo
2-1 vs CoCo
A few insights:
I feel that this 75 is overly prepared for aggro match-ups and will likely trim the Vampiric Links from the side in place for +1 Crumble to Dust and Grim Lavamancer. Aggro matches are pretty easy, with Tempo/Delver lists being a challenge and very grindy. I run so few paths that I'm considering adding in 2 Molten Rain due to all the greedy manabases and manlands, I would likely only bring them in when Paths aren't at their best.
I will be moving Zealous Persecution to the side (for tokens, YP/Delver, and CoCo). Probably bringing in either another GLM or Blightning (petcard).
I run 5 manlands, which won me many matches. Overall though, YP is the MVP. He makes lingering souls 50% better (well almost!). Turns into card advantage, adding a body to all removal and burn. Confidant and Butcher are the runners-up. Confidant either eats removal (which I'm fine with) or steals the game. With my curve he averages ~1.25 damage per turn (depending on the exact 60), but he swings for 2, that's net +.75 damage and a card each turn. With the lifegain, removal, and Butcher in the deck, he's yet to kill me.
In Christmas land when you have YP plus LS and 1 bolt (all 4-ofs) you can within 4 turns. A couple times I've closed by turn 5-6 (T1 Discard or tapland, T2 YP, T3 LS (2 dmg from YP), T4 Flashback LS and Bolt+discard/helix (8 dmg from YP + bolt + tokens), T5 YP + 7 tokens (9 dmg) = 19 dmg on 5. If they board-wipe then you fall back to the manland threats. That last 2-4 damage seems to come from manlands quite often!
If you're struggling with being unable to close games I suggest the following: Reevaluate your wincons and deck strengths; if it's damage then run more threats, if it's Nahiri combo, run more wall of omens (to dig) and discard (for time). My opinion the decks that are stuck between Midrange and Nahiri are the ones that are worse off. Run more manlands. Try YP in non-nahiri lists.
Hey Guys,
Just finished a league with a modified version of the above list. Went 4-1
2-1 vs Eldrazi Tron
1-2 vs Bant Eldrazi
2-1 vs Jund
2-0 vs Jund
2-1 vs Bant Eldrazi
What a diverse meta...
Crackling doom was a life saver vs Eldrazi.
Last match I won but it was very close, Bob was on the field and I had only 3 life left, but he didn't kill me and I won the same turn lol...
Any ideas on how to improve the Eldrazi matchup?
Any one have advice on what's the best way to get value from the prize packs?
Just played against Bedlam Revler Burn. The card is nuts and squashed me game 1. Game 2 and 3, I used the Seek part of Hide//Seek to gain 8 life... the opponent can't quite recover from that.
Have you guys seen the new Chandra, Torch of Defiance seems like it can fit in the mardu controll-shells with nahiri combo. All of her abilities is viable and that ult is a game-ender in our deck. With that many spells in our deck this could be madness:)
But i guess she will find a place in thoose jeskai nahiri decks and may be better there.. but i will try one or two of theese badgirls:)
I saw the Chandra but my instincts say she will fit better in the non-nahiri lists. Her +1 does not have a "no mana" or "return exiled card" clause. If you hit Emmy you lost your combo. To me she seems best in a low curve build that will utilize the card advantage or turn lands into burn.
Is there still people playing Midrane version? any tournament report of feedbacks?
For those running Nahiri, what do you think are your worst and best match up?
Good MUs for me are Affinity, Zoo, Jund, CoCo Abzan and Adnauseam.
Jeskai, Grixis, Bant Eldrazi are a grindfest. And feel very even
