The main I feel pretty good about. I like have Sudden Shock in for a variety of reasons. The sideboard is what I'm not so thrilled about. Admittedly, I just kinda put it together from older lists posted in this thread and from what I see getting played on MTGO; Smash to Smithereens I usually never use and would like to replace it with other stuff, perhaps Searing Blaze or other Flamebreaks and Sudden Shocks. I've also been thinking about Cryoclams at the suggestion of a friend; so many of the decks I'd pull it in against would be susceptible to it, and if it hits it's just better than something like Molten Rain or Fulminator Mage.
It's a pretty standard list that peforms consistently.
Main concern is the sideboard. It seems like with zoo taking a slight beating from the recent nerfs and martyr proc becoming increasingly popular that we will be forced to maindeck Flames of the blood hand in the not too distant future.
My sideboard is looking like this as of now:
4 Combust U/R Twin matchup (finds uses some other times)
4 Rain of Gore for anyhintg with relevant lifegain
4 Smash to Smithereens affinity or other annoying stuff
3 Krosan Grip Annoying things like leyline or cotv
Seems to be at least a pretty solid place to start with this deck and the upcoming modern events
anyone tried Demonic Dread? lets your Marauders get through and flips into another burn spell
But the whole point of burn is to have every topdeck be awesome... topdecking a Demonic Dread with ur opponent at 3 life and u have no creatures in play is not awesome... (correct me if im wrong but no creatures to target makes it uncastable right?)
Ive tried that quest enchantment for 1 red (cant remember the name right now) and i risk 4 of those caus they let me get easy 3rd turn kills...won me a friendly tournament a few days ago caus i was too fast for everyone lol
What does this deck need to beat storm? I tried a couple games last night (with a probably less than optimal list) and storm seems almost unwinnable. They were a turn faster than me both games and I had no disruption for their gameplan.
Some points:
- List is pretty standard from what I can see in this thread.
- marauders of Spark Elemental in MD, too many 1CC...
- Flame Jav in my MD is the iffy card slot I am testing... Have also been testing Slagstorm in it's place... I am kind of liking the storm, which also frees up 2 SB slots...
- Smash to Smithereens or shattering spree? I prefer smash for the extra damage, helps to finish people off a lot more than you think. More PROactice than REactive compared to spree...
- Leyline of Punishment: I am still not sold on this card. Not sure what to run in it's place... pithing needle maybe? I will admit that it is sooo good against lifegain (obviously) it's ridiculously effective when dropped turn0... but not getting it in the opening hand after SBing 4 in to have it, hurts.
Flamebreak is vastly superior to slagstorm, AND, it can hit a player with leyline of sanctity out. Also while leyline comes out for free t0, check out rain of gore, it requires a black splash, but, if you have one blood crypt, some gravens, and sac lands, its easy to pull off.

your point of flamebreak is pretty key, list updated.
rain of gore is easy to splash, but does nothing for damage prevention, an added bonus of leyline. Is it worth the 2 more mana? not sure... But if I black splash, I would just make BR burn and utilize the b to its full potential.
Now I have 2 empty slots in SB...

I've played little modern, but fortunately the maindeck doesn't really care what the opponent's up to. Sideboard could use some help, though.
