First thanks for the feedback and second I guess I can explain some of my card choices and decisions.
Essence warden was in original build but was always underwhelming however the crypt champion works like a mini reveillark and will usually come and grab whatever peice of the combo was missing so for the time being he has stayed.
With the tutors I figured tool box creatures would be good and teeg is really just main decked for that purpose.
The Fauna shaman was really more of a test to see what were the appropriate tutor effects and i'm not sold she is the one, however, there are times that being able to pitch combo peice(s) and get reveillark or crypt champion to reanimate them is money.
In the end I think I like the seemingly randomness of the different cards doing the same thing as it keeps my opponents thus far from being able to identify how to stop the deck as easily. I know I have heard some people complaining about spot removal and disruption being issues both of which have not been thus far in testing for me which could be luck or just could be there are too many different ways to get the combo off.
As someone who runs the project X combo in their deck, I wouldn't run the combo without essence warden. I haven't found essence warden too bad, It's decent against aggro and can randomly hose a combo deck (Splinter Twin, The egg deck if you have a sack outlet and enough creatures in play, and Hulk combo if they don't run Mogg Fanatic.
And at very worst it can always be used as birthing pod fodder.
You don't need to run essence warden but I don't feel like it would be worth it to have the project x combo without it as it can only combo with blasting station to actually kill the opponent.
@ compuchas: The problem with Fauna Shaman in this deck is that she is too slow and costly to get the desired effect compared to cards like Summoner's Pact and Green Sun's Zenith. I would consider it in a creature heavy build to utilize cards like Lead the Stampede though. Just my 2 cents.
Someone tried this combo on MTGO while playing EDH. It doesn't work. I spoke to the admins about it because when Melira was introduced, this was the hot hot thing to do with her. They said they're already entering the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter and she doesn't prevent it at all, and that's exactly what happened. He tried it with Melira + Aerie Ouphes to kill all of the fliers on the board, but it came back with the persist -1/-1 with her in play. So, what's the verdict here..?
I've read that it didn't use to work on MTGO. Apparently it does now, but it's always a pain to go through the motions. (See Tatterkite for more information.)
Yeah, it does work, it's the same idea as Etched monstrosity, it didn't work on MTGO because it was an error, the Comprehensive rules however, say it works...

@ 1995240sx: Looks pretty good. 4x Silence seems like too many. Cutting down to 3 feels like a good move to me. I would try to fit a 1x Scarland Thrinax to tutor up with Green Sun's Zenith. As for the mana base, maybe add in 2x Fetid Heath somewhere.
I played 5 matches against Boros. Even though I lost 6 out of 10 games, the match up seemed really even. It kept going 2-0 back and forth, back and forth for 5 rounds. Feels pretty similar to Red Aggro match up, and I would assume Goblins are about the same.
interesting fun fact: you can use an Aether Vial with no counters on it to put Dryad Arbor into play.
EDIT: Took on a Doran/Junk deck. It looks to be a fairly even match up with the odds slightly in their favor. Their hand disruption and Path to Exile are the biggest problems for Melira. Nothing in the deck costs more than 3 to maximize the effectiveness of Dark Confindant, which also means everything in the deck is susceptible to Inquisition of Kozilek. Junks biggest weakness is the amount life paid for fetch, duels, Murmuring Bosk and Thoughtseize, so I dont suspect that it will be a strong contender at major tournaments.
The OP mentions Glittering Wish as a potential card to use - I'm not saying it's good or bad, but what would good wish targets be?

@ Orange Soda Man - I have 1 Murderous Redcap, 1 Safehold Elite, 1 Scarland Thrinax, 3 Maelstrom Pulse, 3 Guttural Response, 3 Qasali Pridemage and 1 Knight of the Reliquary in my sideboard to use with Glittering Wish. I have only goldfished and will hopefully get some actual play testing in this weekend. For my solo testing, I generally am using it to pull out missing combo pieces when I need them.
Some things that I've been noticing are: (not sure if they really matter but figured I would share anyways)
- Safehold Elite is amazing as far as curving out and making the combo work with Green Sun's Zenith, but I find that unless I have Blasting Station out all I'm doing is making a really big Thrinax or putting Gargadon into play. The Persist creatures with an ability on them seem much more broken. I'm thinking of only running 2 Elite main and 1 SB (for Glittering Wish). I'm torn because it fits really well but just seems rather lackluster on its own.
- Grand Abolisher seems truly amazing for the deck. I always hold Melira in hand until I'm ready to go off, Abolisher comes down on turn 2 and seems like it will do a lot for the deck. Protects the combo, soaks up removal, beats/blocks, and looks like a total bad *** while doing so.
- Knight of the Reliquary has not as amazing as I was hoping for in goldfishing. Most of the time it is working just a mana accelerator but I don't want to dismiss it before actually playing games. Even in that role it seems decent. It's just not like I remember it in Zoo I guess. Haha.
- I really want Murderous Redcap to work but the 4cmc really kills it. It isn't impossible to get 5 mana on turn 4 (in fact, it happens quite often) but getting to 6 to drop both Redcap and Melira is just too difficult. I'm going to keep him as a 1-of MB and 1 SB but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
- Greater Gargadon on turn 1 has been pretty amazing. The only thing I'm not sure of is if resolving one is game breaking. I would assume it is, as only Path to Exile really deals with it (as far as what I foresee people using as removal) but if Gargadon alone is not enough to win a game then I think I may drop red all together and go Junk colors. If he alone is good enough to pull out a win, then that validates the use of Safehold Elite and pulls together the deck much better. Any one have experience with him and his usefulness?
I found some nifty tech for tutoring up Melira in the card Time of Need. It seems to be working out pretty well. I'd recommend testing it out.
Anyways, that is what I've gotten so far. I really want to play some actual decks and this deck seems really powerful. I will post again once I do some more testing. (Sorry for being long winded)
I find that Greater Gargadon is only mainly useful as a sac outlet, but it's one of the best sac outlets you have ever seen. It's virtually un-removable--Wrath of God and Path to Exile aren't touching this bad boy. (One use only, though--it pops onto the battlefield as soon as you sac the Finks to it infinite times.)
Also, DOLZero, you can use my decklists on Page 1 of this thread.
I don't see anything that can work as a sac outlet but Time of Need works with Saffi Eriksdotter if you choose to run her. It also lets you work with a 1 or 2-of Kataki, War's Wage in the SB vs Affinity (if it ever becomes dominant).
@Mangcho, the guy above me used Yosei, the Morning Star as the 6-drop. (Seeing as every single combo piece can be 3 cmc or less, how bad would Sun Titan be?)
