I was thinking about that instead of the Boomerang but wanted to try the Boomerang first. I'll test it.

If you can cast a spell, you're doing well, If you can't, that's okay, too. It usually takes a few turns before you have enough mana to do anything. Meanwhile, you should figure out whether you need to discard (p.11). Then announce the end of your turn, and let your opponent have a go.
Personally I'm not a fan of Elixir. In all the time I've played this deck, decking myself has NEVER been an issue. It nonbos with Snapcaster which is a pillar of the deck IMO. Against infinite life I have Inkmoth Nexus. 3 Part the Waterveils is enough to win in the vast majority of games and TiTi is an extra wincon in the sideboard. Although I might go back up to 4 PtW since moving TiTi out.
Temporal Mastery I like as a 3-of. You have some control over it with Serum Visions, and it's gotten me out of otherwise unwinnable situations multiple times. The Miracle is not that uncommon and when you get it it's busted, especially with TiTi.

What do you think about Temporal Mastery? I used it for a long time, but since printing of Part the Waterveil I find it not worthy playing anymore. To name its disadvantages:
- every extra draw reduces chances of playing it for 1U. Serum Visions, mine effects, Spreading Seas - all these cards sharply increase chances of being forced to pay full mana cost. Remand and Cryptic Command too, you most frequently play T2 Remand and T4 Cryptic.
- It's another time walk that exiles itself, making use of Snapcaster Mages limited do Time Warps. Doing loops with Elixir of Immortality is impossible (I am huge fan of it, you can't deck yourself against infinite life combos and still can win with Mikokoro pre-side. It's like another win-condition since I sometimes find myself forced to play all Part the Waterveil without awaken to avoid certain death against really fast decks. not to mention built-in lifegain).
- It's poor on starting hand.
- It's weak against control decks. You usually can't predict incoming miracle and because of that don't Gigadrowse them at their EoT. Which makes you vulnerable to Remand or Vendilion Clique in response to trigger.
My current warps setup is:
4 Time Warp - self explanatory.
3 Walk the Aeons - with 6 cmc it fits to the curve, doesn't get exiled and buyback can be relevant. Maybe should cut one for 4th PtW. I'm not certain.
3 Part the Waterveil - the best thing that happened to this deck recently.
1 Temporal Trespass - it's extremely useful for beforementioned Elixir of Immortality loops. You exile all the trash from your graveyard, thinning your deck. Time walks get shuffled into your library so fizzling at this point is impossible.
What are your thoughts on that?
Trespass can exile up to 8 cards, so be confident with that
By the way about mastery i miracle it at least once every match i play more or less. Sometimes even 3
Honestly i can understand if someone prefer it in less copies but it should not be cut
Also since we play mines we dig in our deck and this makes us find more copies of it, making it very likely to be Miracled at least once.
Hello everyone! As someone looking into building Time Walk in paper without really having played much of it before (other than about 20ish games on XMage after discovering the deck the other day), I figured I may as well ask and see if the Mono U list posted in the primer is still a valid starting point for actually picking the deck up in paper. It still looks fairly similar to what people have been discussing lately, but I just wanted to make sure before I began building that particular list.
This deck seriously looks awesome though, I don't think I've had this much fun in Modern since I first stumbled across Storm. I was trying to keep from foiling any other decks aside from Storm but this is certainly going to test my will to not pimp anything else. Looking forward to testing, building, and chatting about it.

you really should read the last pages because lists changed quite a bit from the one in the primer
In my signature there is a link to my current 75 (maybe you can chance something since i Still play emrakul and it seems i m the only one Lol ) other people have similar list for the mono u except for her

I have cut Temporal Mastery a while ago. Haven't missed them. Temporal mastery is REALLY good when it works for you, but it feels really bad when you are forced to cast it for 7. It comes down to consistency.
if you average miracle it once for match (this is what happens to me) average cmc of temporal mastery, if you cast all the other three, is (2+7+7+7)/4 = 5.75. this becomes 5,3 if you miracle one and cast other 2.

Awesome, thanks! I'll be sure to check out the last few pages for sure. So far I've definitely enjoyed the deck, and will be posting a list once I have one nailed down.
i'm writing a script that goldfishes the deck (now 4 mastery, 6 mines, 50 islands) to debug different things guys for now it just checks how many times temporal mastery or a mine is found in the first seven cards, next step is try to understand how many times it is possible to miracle it. with time it will simulate other things like the extra draw from remand and such
mastery was found 369 times in hand in 1000 shuffles
a mine effect was found 525 times in the hand and 667 in the first ten cards in 1000 shuffles
mastery was found 421 times in hand in 1000 shuffles
a mine effect was found 557 times in the hand and 696 in the first ten cards in 1000 shuffles
mastery was found 394 times in hand in 1000 shuffles
a mine effect was found 542 times in the hand and 662 in the first ten cards in 1000 shuffles
mastery was found 371 times in hand in 1000 shuffles
a mine effect was found 539 times in the hand and 690 in the first ten cards in 1000 shuffles
mastery was found 4075 times in hand in 10000 shuffles
a mine effect was found 5462 times in the hand and 6861 in the first ten cards in 10000 shuffles
mastery was found 4012 times in hand in 10000 shuffles
a mine effect was found 6574 times in the hand and 7932 in the first ten cards in 10000 shuffles
also assuming 6 mines and 15 cards seen in the first 5 turns (initial seven + 5 from 5 turns + 2/3 cards from an early mine or a extra draw like remand and such) probability to see a mine effect is around 82%. if we see 20 then it is 91%
for now goldfish DOES NOT include serum visions, wich is in fact very strong when we need to dig in the deck and have card selection
