All the fighting here on an optimal list and the disappointing performance of energy elephant made me take my stompy deck apart. Will this make stompy great again?
What would it add that Keen Sense didn't? I toyed with Warriors' Lesson a long time ago because you could play it after blockers were declared, making it often act as a 1-mana draw-2, but even at that it wasn't worth keeping outside of Heroic decks.
People asking about Skinshifter is yet another reason why this thread really provides no insight to play this deck. I understand not everyone is pro but cmon guys. You shouldn't need someone to tell you no on skinshifter. Don't want to get started on sixth sense.

I ended up removing all copies. It feels bad to have a 1/1 for 1G that can't trigger E1, and is more often a T3 play to protect him a bit from bolts, dismembers and such things
Could you post your current list, @BbearZ? I'm intrigued on see what it looks like
Hey what's the thoughts on Garruk Wildspeaker? Seems like a good one of as he only costs two if you plus one and on turn five you ult for the win if he is left unchallenged. This allows us to go both wide and brutal or calculated via Aspect.
This deck doesnt run Collected Company and its curve tops at 3 with 4/5s. So I don't think the card is strong enough. You'd want this creature to come down first to stop U control from stopping your own threats, but this only comes down after your 1 and 2 drops, which have already been Snared and Leaked. The fact that its buttock is 3 makes it even poorer against its intended targets, because draw-go U in modern is very frequently paired with R, which as you have astutely pointed out, means bolt.

Totally agreee. And seeing this 3CMC rare, seems we are not getting any 1CMC/2CMC good rare
pretty classic list that does not take a lot of risks. Aside from the Mainboard Thrun, the last troll, especially at 19 lands. Is Groundbreaker good? I've seen it mentioned a couple time and never tried it.

I'm actually interested too. My first "guess tries" for good cards have been pretty bad, Perhaps your list will provide me with guidance and inspiration.

What's your rationale here? It's not like they cap themselves to "Only one efficient aggro green rare creature per set". Aether Revolt had 2 cheap efficient green rare creatures with aggro potential (Greenwheel Liberator and Greenbelt Rampager), and it was a small set. I wouldn't take the existence of the catsnake as any kind of sign that there will be no more green aggro-potential rares in the set.
When playing with a new strange list, try the following:
On any turn, a few times in a round after untap your cards, said to your oponent ¨... im at my upkeep step¨
Then look at your hand, check up the board, check your life points notes, if required check both graveyards and/or point your finger like you were counting damage.
Wait a few seconds and look as you were thinking a play... all of this in your upkeep step...
Then say.... hmmm nop nop... Ill draw...

Sure. I currently don't like the list so far but it's w/e. Nothing special. Narnam Renegade has been pretty good so far but I liked the list more without fetches. Still need to do more testing.

Looks like a very solid list actually. Do you feel like there's too much fetches? not enough? Also, really happy to hear Narnam renegade is performing well.
thoughts?

I'm thinking fringe sideboard card. It's pretty easily removable, ie. bolt.

Personally, I'd move to the SB Thrun, the last troll, and add one more Dungrove Elder. And I don't get why Thragtusk or Fog. Also don't like Skylasher, but if it worked with that list...
Having two Groundbreakers makes sense to have just 2 Dismember and 4 Aspect of hydra, IMO

Could you explain some of your choices? Why Dungrove elder with only 12 forests? Does it work well?
Also, is Fog any good? When? And I'm intrigued about Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, when/why do you move it to your main?
I really wish the power and toughness of cat snake have been switched around... so that it doesn't die to bolt.
