Yeah, the deck is good. I played two games yesterday and won both (Huntmaster Jund and RB Zombies).
The deck takes advantage of the current meta, dominated by midrange and not-so-fast combo. Monoblue obviously has a lot of problems dealing with dedicated aggro. If Zoo makes a comeback, we'll probably want to splash White/Black/Red for added removal.
About the mentioned creatures, they have nice effects, but we need to keep in mind that when playing this style of deck, you have few wincons and all of them should really win you the game when cast. That's the case with Mindslaver lock, Sundering Titan (yay greedy manabases!) and Wurmcoil Engine (the MVP of the deck IMHO).
Steel Hellkite is seeing some play too. It has a nice effect and I can see it replacing Platinum Angel (mostly there for the combo matchups I think).

I have found Solemn to be the MVP of the deck, many turn 3s I have gotten Tron played him and a talisman, untapped and Mindslavered my opponent
Treasure Mage is just sweet
EDIT: So the deck has been doing well in Dailies on MTGO, very few decks have answers to Burst or Mindslaver lock
Most differences seems to be Hellkite or Angel
Solemn Simulacron is definitely awesome. I was just referring to the wincons.
Don't know about Evacuation, it sure could fit. Stone needs more mana, but deals with noncreature permanents. I would try Evacuation if aggro is a problem for you.

Solemn is the allstar of the deck IMO he cycles and rampant growths! For this particular deck there is no positive way for your opponent to remove him, Path nets you another land and killing him nets you a card
I think Jace fits taking Aggro out pretty well his +1 is very good at stalling and he can be used as a solid CA engine
In other news, the Pod match-up is quite bad, not unwinnable, but without Tron on turn 3 and some impact on their board turn 4 (O. Stone or Titan), very difficult to win
After board it is better Trickbind is sweet tech vs Pod
Geist URW is super easy to defeat Slaver or Wurmcoil Engine just ends the game

I'm thinking about Shadow of Doubt as a SB option for Pod, Gifts-based decks and other builds that abuse tutoring effects. Anyway, Trickbind is good already.
Just to help against burn, killing goblin guide and what not, but I was second guessing it anyways. But my gifts list would replace thirst for knowledge and it would look like this.
x1 Crucible of Worlds
x3 Dimir Signet
x3 Expedition maps
x2 Mindslaver
x1 Oblivion Stone
x1 Academy Ruins
x1 Island
x1 Oboro, Palace in the Sky
x5 Snow-Covered Island
x1 Mouth of Ronom
x1 Tectonic Edge (maybe ghost quarter, since some decks don't run that many basics so you can lock them out with crucible)
x2 Tolaria West
x12 Urza Lands
I'm testing it, and have been for awhile now, and so far it's gone 2-0 against this weird merieke deck, 2-0 vs rb shades, and 2-1 vs UW control. I don't know where those first two decks came from, but I was like wtf?
EDIT: I swapped some cards out of the sideboard -1 Mindslaver -1 Quicksand +1 Tectonic Edge +1 Dismember. and mainboard I did swap the tect for Ghost Quarter.
I would run ghost quarter over tectonic edge personally - you can protect your tron lands from sowing salt with it and do some cool tricks with crucible like tap your tower for 3 - quarter it, the play it from your yard and tap it again. That and ghost quarter doesn't req mana to activate nor 4 lands - and you can keep your opponent off tron lands when playing against RGtron.
If you guys are running crucible, how many are you running? I prefer gifts, but it seems that TfK is just the better way to go. I also like having more access to the crucible with gifts, along with really anything you need.
EDIT: I was also wondering why there are 2 mindslavers MB, when you're trying not to draw to many bombs, and go for a more control approach, meaning you'd want more answers.
Fizzler gets bonus points for playing Octavarium on his stream. And Roundabout. We must compare music libraries.
Deck looks sweet, however.
Thanks
Would have streamed for longer, but as I stated earlier comp crashed, and yes we should!
Oboro dodges LD and Tec Edge is you expect they have it, Oboro can also filter Tron mana into Blue if you don't make a land drop
EDIT: As I have said on stream this deck plays alot like Pauper 8 Post, but would anyone classify it as a control deck? I might it plays like a control deck

Also tips for SB vs the Mirror? I have found the mirror game 1 to be less about Tron more about Slaver or Burst lock

About other cards, maybe Damping Matrix for Mindslaver, Stone and Talismans?
Pithing Needle hits Slaver fine enough for the mirror and Stone isn't that big
Crucible seems pretty good, might have to try it

Old Tron had Annex for the mirrors. I think it deserves a test.
Against Bogle I would try Spellskite.
I may try this, seems good vs the Tapa control decks (stealing a Colonade and using it + Slaver Lock seems fun)
I have found it comes down to Ruins or Slaver
Spellskite noted (didn't draw it :()
Anyway I'll be streaming some matches in a little and debating on taking this deck to a PTQ in March over R/G
