So I played UW Eldrazi at a 43 person FNM for 6 rounds.
Round 1 vs. RW Burn. He does a turn 3 Blood Moon after I mull to oblivion. I don't draw more than a land this game and lose to multiple Boros Charms. In the next game, I mull to oblivion again, but get a Though-Knot Seer. This gets me back in it and I draw Eldrazi Skyspawner next. In the final game, I get multiple Spellskite, multiple Eldrazi Skyspawner, and a Ruination Guide that lives. 2-1.
Round 2 vs. Bushwhackers. He misses a land drop. But he gets a good hit in. I choose to only block a 5/1 with a Scion to stay at 5 life since I had Reality Smasher in hand to swing for 16. In the next game, I get turn 4 Chalice of the Void on 1 after playing 2 Thought-Knot Seer. He scoops. 2-0.
Round 3 vs. GR Tron. I keep a fairly strong hand, but he stabilizes with turn 3 Karn, which I don't kill mistakenly, into Oblivion Stone into Ulamog into Ulamog and Wurmcoil Engine. In the next game, I keep an Eldrazi Temple as my only land. It is a huge mistake. 0-2.
Round 4 vs. BW Tokens. This guy kept pretty slow hands with only 1 discard spell each and no pressure. I have a decent curve and crush him. In the 2nd game, I am able to get Eldrazi Displacer and kill 2 tokens to swing for lethal. 2-0.
Round 5 vs. WBR. He has a 1 land hand and gets run over by Mimic into Thought-Knot Seer into Smasher. Game 2 is multiple Thought-Knot Seers. 2-0.
Round 6 vs. UW Tron. I win game 1 after getting through with a quick hand. In the next game, I mull to 1 land and my hand is too slow. I draw a few lands and come back, but Emrakul ends that. In the final game, he gets an early Ghostly Prison, which is good against me, but I get Eldrazi Displacer and Thought-Knot Seer and keep him off good cards before drawing lands and swinging for lethal. 2-1.
I get 2nd place. The GR Tron player beat the 4-0-1 in the final round to get 1st on tiebreakers over me.

I played in a 22 person GPT today. I went back to UR Eldrazi since the "4 Rest in Peace" plan wasn't as helpful as I thought. 5 rounds...
Round 1 vs. Merfolk. In the first game, I refuse to mull to 5. I have 2 lands and a bunch of 3 drops. I get the land in time, but the Fish are too quick. When I did Thought-Knot Seer, he had double Lord, with a Lord in play so it was lethal (Islandwalk). I get a quick hand and win fairly easily in game 2. In the last game, he gets stuck on Cavern of Souls and Mutavault. 2-1.
Round 2 vs. RUG Delver. There's just too many "Delver like and Tarmogoyf like" creatures for this type of deck to beat us. I've played this guy around 6 times now with Eldrazi and won each time. 2-0.
Round 3 vs. RG Aggro. I punt the first game. I kept thinking the unknown card that he drew for the turn was Lightning Bolt and overthought not casting an Eldrazi Obligator and a 2nd Dismember. In the next 2 games, I fade some burn for a turn and then swing for lethal. Both games had Thought-Knot Seer, but his hand was good enough to put me into Burn range the turn before I had lethal. Luckily for me he didn't draw it. 2-1.
Round 4 vs. Jund. He is 2-1 and I am 3-0, so we have to play. He offers me the draw. He gets me in the first game with removal and Lily because I don't draw enough creatures. I get him in the next game with an excellent curve. Then I get a good enough curve to beat him in the last game as well, topdecking an Obligator to make it much safer. I win 2-1, but I scoop to him to give him the win. We both can ID next round to top 8. (0-2)
Round 5 vs. Jund. We ID 0-0-3.
Top 8 vs. 4 Color Gifts. I basically run him over with creatures. He does the best he can, but it's too much. 2-0.
Top 4 vs. Jund. This is the guy from round 4. I draw solid hands, including the nuts in game 2. He Thoughtseized me in game 2 to see Eldrazi Mimic, double Thought-Knot Seer, double Eldrazi Temple, Endless One, and Eldrazi Skyspawner. I get there fairly easy, although his hand was decent enough to make me have to draw a Reality Smasher to make it easier. Otherwise I would have had to grind it out. 2-0.
Finals vs. Jund. This is the guy from round 5. I don't need the Byes, so I scoop to him to take an extra $5 in store credit. 0-2.
So I finished 2nd place. I probably could have won the finals, but I didn't need the Byes. Instead I got extra store credit.

My 60 has stayed the same as JC Tao's Pro Tour winning list ever since the week after he won. I have contemplated taking out a card for a 4th Eldrazi Obligator or the lone Gemstone Caverns for a 4th Cavern of Souls, but have yet to pull the trigger. However, the SB has changed a bit from week to week. This past Saturday, it was
EDIT> Because I was curious, I looked up the Pro Tour SB and this recent one that I used is the closest to that list I've used. It is also the first time I've used Ratchet Bombs, although I didn't get to play a single one yet.

Round 1 vs. Loam Pox. I mulled to 4. I had a pretty slow hand and he got 3 Bloodghast by turn 2 and a 4th 2 turns later. I had a decent curve and no mulligan in game 2. Relic of Progenitus was good as well. In the final game, he did a turn 3 flashback Conflagrate to kill my 3 creatures, discarding his hand. I was 1 mana away from Reality Smasher. I drew another Reality Smasher. I never drew that land and then he got Life from the Loam/Ghost Quarter online. Once I had 0 land in play, I drew Relic of Progenitus. 1-2.
Round 2 vs. BW Tokens. In the first game, I kept a 5 land hand because it had Eye of Ugin. He killed my creatures and I drew all land this game. I had a few mulls with 0 land hands again, but I draw Temples and Smashers and have the nut. The last game is similar, except I drew Ratchet Bomb and Stubborn Denial, both of which were very good. 2-1.
Round 3 vs. Colorless Eldrazi. All 3 games were Eldrazi Mimic, Thought-Knot Seer (a total of 4), and Reality Smashers. I won game 1 because I had 2 Dismember for his 2 Thought-Knot Seer and Reality Smasher with a good curve of my own. I lost the next 2 games on turn 3. Now I am 11-3 vs. Eldrazi decks. 1-2.
Round 4 vs. Descendant's Path Eldrazi. Not much to say here. He drew a bit too much mana and probably large Eldrazi. I did Gut Shot on a Blisterpod and then Dismember on its Scion, only for him to reveal an 8/9 next turn. It probably didn't matter since I had Smasher and probably enough lethal to swing by in 2 turns. 2-0.
Round 5 vs. Budget Red. I lost a game due to him Bolting all of my small creatures and swinging with a Kiln Fiend. I still had 5 land in hand. In the other games, I had a solid draw. 2-1.
I get 11th place. It was a pretty disappointing evening. I nearly wanted to give up in the final match after mulling two 0 land hands into a 1 Scalding Tarn hand. But I peeled 2 Eldrazi Temple in a row and crushed that game. Then I drew a solid hand in the final game while he got stuck on 1 land.

I'm trading for a u/w eldrazi deck tomorrow I'm trading away some of jund. But is it worth it atm because I potential ban sometime april could be very bad.

It doesn't seem like a good idea right now.
Personally, I am glad that there should only be another week of this deck. I played FNM and 2 GPTs this Fri-Sun.
FNM - 30 players. Round 1 vs. GW Death and Taxes. This guy usually runs Mono White, but I noticed a few Green cards. My hand slows down and he has a chance to win, but I feel my "out" is to play to non-perfect blocking, so I go for it. It works. 2-0.
Round 2 vs. UW Tron. I mull a bunch and play slow hands to natural Tron on turn 3 and 4 in games 1 and 3. Game 2 was a good hand that even had good draws to win pretty easily. 1-2.
Round 3 vs. GB Elves. He had a turn 4 win available, but since I was on the play, my nut hand won on my turn 4 on the play. The next game goes with me putting the pressure. We get into topdeck mode and my larger creatures win out here. 2-0.
Round 4 vs. Ad Nauseam. Not much to see. I actually get a 3rd turn Thought-Knot Seer. I should win, right? No, I see Lightning Storm, Peer Through Depths, double Ad Nauseam, Angel's Grace, and lands to do a turn 4 kill. The choices are Lightning Storm or Angel's Grace. I figure that Lightning Storm could be his only win-con and Peer Through Depths could get another Angel's Grace anyway. It is a mistake and he has a Conflagrate. In the next game, I mull 0 land hands to 4. I keep 1 land, Chalice of the Void, and some 3 drops. I fail to draw a land until turn 3, to which I do Chalice of the Void on 1. I had previously done a turn 1 Chalice of the Void on 0 to stop Pacts. He puts Phyrexian Unlife and then does Ad Nauseam. 0-2.
I lose Round 5 because I left, but it turned out someone dropped me.
GPT - 6 people. I traveled far for this tournament only to see 6 people, single elimination, and waiting an hour past the starting time to begin. Dumb me. Round 1 vs. Abzan Company. Not much to see here. A lot of mulligans, 5 Collected Companies in 2 games, and me drawing up to activating Eye of Ugin before losing to the infinite combo. 0-2.
GPT - 25 people. Round 1 vs. UW Control. I win 2-0. Round 2 vs. Zoo. I win 2-0. Round 3 vs. Angel Feeder. I win 2-1. Round 4 vs. UW Eldrazi. ID 0-0-3. Round 5 vs. GW Death and Taxes. ID 0-0-3, sorry BBD!
Top 8 vs. Rogue Junk deck. There wasn't much to say here. I mulled horrible hands to 3 land 2 spells in game 1 and he draws a pretty solid hand. In the next game, I keep a poor 6 and he topdecks Thragtusk and Angel of Serenity while I drew Cavern of Souls, Cavern of Souls, and Eye of Ugin with another in play already. I scoop. 0-2.

I'm 99% sure that no one goes to this thread, nor will respond to this, but I will ask anyway. Has anyone else had extreme variance with this deck?
I have probably averaged fewer than 6 cards per opening hand and this includes keeping some very loose hands (usually at 4-5 cards). I have never had such a problem with a 24 land, 36 non-land deck ever. I have played Magic since 1994 and almost always played 60 card decks, so this happening now seems very odd to me. I played UB Faeries in Standard quite a bit. I loved the consistency that 4 ofs and the 24/36 card configuration brought. It made winning consistently pretty good for me. But this Eldrazi deck is something else. I realize that Eye of Ugin and Eldrazi Temple together are only 8 cards in the deck, so this deck is a deck where not all lands are created equal, but this seems a bit odd.
I do also want to state that I have had my share fare of nut hands as well and some pretty good topdecks, which makes scooping early almost non-existent. I'm starting to wonder if this is just some extreme variance.
I played this deck in 7 GPTs. I lost in the top 8 of 3 of these - all of these with some extreme mulligans and an opponent who drew well. I won 2 of these. I split one. And I lost in the first round of single elimination in another that was only 6 players. The stats are still there. Maybe I got lucky. Maybe I didn't? But in the 3 top 8s that I lost in the first round, I averaged 5 cards or fewer per hand because I mulled. I shuffled quite a bit in between each mulligan. Anyone else have these experiences?

Round 1 vs. Merfolk. I mull to a poor 5 card hand. His hand was slow, but I couldn't overcome the slow start. He got stuck on 2 land in game 2 with no Aether Vial and flooded to 7 land in game 3. Average hands got there, although he said I was too cautious in game 3. 2-1.
Round 2 vs. Merfolk. I have good aggro hands and a Dismember blows him out. The last game is a close race, but I top deck Reality Smasher to win safely even if the card in hand is a good one. The cards I had only win if the card is nothing, but alas, he had nothing. 2-0.
Round 3 vs. UR Delver/Prowess. He wins game 1 after a mull to 4 and not drawing a 3rd land. I win the next game with Eldrazi Mimic and Endless One into Thought-Knot Seer into Reality Smasher. In the final game, I have lethal on board, but he top decks Snapcaster Mage, which allows him to flashback Vapor Snag, removing my 2/1 flying blocker and doing 1 damage to me. Delver swings for lethal. 1-2.
Round 4 vs. Jund. I win the first game after he did turn 1 and 2 Thoughtseize, leaving me only with Drowner of Hope. That Drowner of Hope basically drowns his hope later on. The next game is a stalemate of sorts, and I take my time since I have Eye of Ugin active soon. He scoops when he calculated that I had lethal and he was right. 2-0.
Round 5 vs. Infect. I mull to 5. We race and I get there after turn 2 Thought-Knot Seer takes his only infect creature and he doesn't draw another. In the next game, I mull to 6 I think. The hand drew only lands and I nearly had Eye of Ugin active when he killed me (I had 6 lands and Eye with a land in hand). In the final game, I mull to 6. I have land, Eldrazi Mimic, Gut Shot, Chalice of the Void, and Eldrazi Skyspawner. I scry land to the top so I can turn 2 Chalice of the Void on 1. I draw Stubborn Denial the turn after I play Chalice on 1. I draw only lands after this and after doing Dismember on a Blighted Agent, he played another and killed me with it and Pendelhaven. He also blocked my Eldrazi Mimic with a fetched Dryad Arbor. He got there. 1-2.
I finish 3-2 and 11th place. It was another disappointing finish, but honestly Eldrazi was the most successful deck I ever played in my life. I averaged probably around 5 cards per game, but it was still strong. Seven card keeps were nearly impossible to beat, outside of sick Abzan Company draws.

It is because of the extreme dependence of this deck on just 8 cards, 4 of them which are useless when in multiples, even increasing the mull rate more. So you are basically playing with 52 "useless" cards most of the time (if you get the hyperbole). It is really quite ridiculous how absolutely atrocious this deck is without the sol lands (see the Standard Mono Blue Eldrazi deck, which doesn't hold a candle to Modern's power level). Fortunately though, I think this thread will be dead in a few days, and we can finally move on from on of the worse Modern seasons I remember
Yes, I agree. It was a terrible meta. There literally was no reason to play something other than Eldrazi (unless someone is adverse to winning), but the deck was very dependent on those lands.
I will say one positive thing that came out of me playing this deck. I have learned to mulligan better, previously being someone who has kept a lot of loose hands. I still need to improve quite a bit at this, but I am getting better.

Well, a final farewel to Eldrazi in Modern Tier 1 I think.
Took UW for a spin last week and went 4-0.
R1: Blue Moon. G1, good hand. Curved well. G2, T3 Blood Moon = GG. G3, Blood Moon dropped a turn too late. Managed to even Stubborn Denial opponent twice (roast on my TKS, and something I forgot).
R2: Elves. G1 Opponent didn't know what I was playing and on a mull to 6 kept a no-land hand with 2 mana dorks. He was punished by Mimic x 2 and TKS by T3. G2 went abit grindier but Drowner got me there by tapping stuff down.
R3. Grishoalbrand. G1 Goryo's Vengence for Griselbrand saw a Path but he took 14 life to draw 14 cards. Found life back through Nourishing Shoal and eventually flung lands at me with Borborygmos. G2: Rest in Peace T2. Blood Moon T3 for opponent. I found an island that let me play Skyspawner and Drowner for tokens to sac for Colourless. G3: T1 Relic of Progenitus kept the opponents graveyard empty.
R4. Affinity. G1: curved out. Had removal. G2: Affinity player curved out and I mulled to 5 with no removal. G3: Had 3 x Dismembers to remove any threats and Drowner got me there by tapping stuff down.
Took home an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon as a prize.
Vale Eldrazi. You weren't fun but you put up results.
As usual, after a key pieces of a deck is banned, the mods and I move the deck to deck creation or lock the thread if it cant exist anymore. We do this because when a deck loses a core piece, the deck is arguably different than what it was before, thus in many cases deserves its own thread or to be reevaluated to see if it can retain its old success. This is still the case here. The ban may have shifted the deck to older stratagies used, or maybe new ones entirely. But we have left the thread open for people to brew.
The OP must, however, be changed to reflect the new outlook of the deck and not give old information.
One of the main thoughts I've had is replacing Eye of Ugin with Vesuva and basically playing twelvepost with Eldrazi Temple, though in this case I suppose it would be more accurate to call it 8post or 8temple. This unfortunately means that the deck has no realiable way of powering out a turn 2 Thought-Knot Seer apart from a lucky draw of two or more temples. However it still can get a turn three Reality Smasher without too much difficulty.
The loss of eye gives the deck more reason than ever to drop red and try Ancient Stirrings to smooth out the lands, but that probably means starting a new thread entirely. A stirrings in the late game can also do an impression of eye's search ability, finding needed threats to keep on the pressure.
UR Eldrazi is dead without Eye of Ugin. Discussion has dropped from near 0 to pretty much 0. If the deck does well at a tournament and starts putting up results I will re-open the topic with an Eldrazi Temple only version.
Round 1 vs.
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Round 1 vs.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Round 1 vs.

I scoop. 0-2.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)I have probably averaged fewer than 6 cards per opening hand and this includes keeping some very loose hands (usually at 4-5 cards).

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Round 1 vs.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)It is because of the extreme dependence of this deck on just 8 cards, 4 of them which are useless when in multiples, even increasing the mull rate more.
I will say one positive thing that came out of me playing this deck. I have learned to mulligan better, previously being someone who has kept a lot of loose hands. I still need to improve quite a bit at this, but I am getting better.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Took UW for a spin last week and went 4-0.
The OP must, however, be changed to reflect the new outlook of the deck and not give old information.
Thanks everyone,
Lantern
The loss of eye gives the deck more reason than ever to drop red and try Ancient Stirrings to smooth out the lands, but that probably means starting a new thread entirely. A stirrings in the late game can also do an impression of eye's search ability, finding needed threats to keep on the pressure.
