I lost in my first match to a *Temporary Spoiler removal* deck (Don't want to give away the opposition for the tourney). It was a close game one, but they stabilized at 2 life while I couldn't regain my field presence (Chambers didn't stay and Norin needs friends that didn't come). Game 2 didn't see a Cavern to help mana fix, but they had increased their removal package vs me. And a side note - Gaka made a judging appearance the turn after Norin hit play G1, lol.
Aside from the tourney, I have had a good amount of wins from this list. I am considering testing a pair of Blasting Stations in the MD, so possibly -2 Slip, +2 Station. Through further testing, I am also removing Extirpate for 2x Shattering Spree and 1x Thalia for 1x Mortify. Wrath is staying for control/gy hate matchups (switch and split w/ damnation).
So far only had testing vs Geist aggro and mill, rained on Geist's parade easily, lost to mill 1-2 (just a bad m/u in general, but not many ppl run mill). Decided to take it more down the Artist route, but then tried out Cunning after watching some NayaPod matches. Stun Sniper is extra time and great w/ Collar, much better than Grim Lavamancer in this list as not much gets thrown into your gy. Considering some sort of gy recursion for at least artifacts as arti-hate is pretty rampant. I haven't looked into it as of yet, but if anyone can think of something 1-3cc that returns to hand or field, it would be appreciated. Thornbite is in there for machinegunning (free equip for Cunning), but too expensive on the equip to warrant more than 1 slot, and pairs really well with all those myrs being produced and collar. Figured this method had 3 ways of grinding down your opponent's life total, minus all out assaulting with myrs.
I do agree that it's too busy after further testing. I could barely scratch a game with Timmy list. It also didn't help most of my m/u were against Death Cloud and Tron. I think I'm going to stick with this list for the Norin the Artist:
I changed the deck around some, removing seer (yeah he was nice, but most times I'd rather see something else) for the 2 Tragic Slip return. Dropped a Path for 4th Priest. Built more towards Bond and Priest with Forbidden Orchard. I did pilfer this idea from a recent thread in here that was similar to my Artist list. This gives us a little more consistency on Priest's and Bond's triggers instead of the opponent making bad plays to get blockers/creatures. So far my list has eaten my RUW Delver list and Bant Geist Aggro in testing, only losing to nut draws and super heavy control.
Blasting Station seems like a must include in the 60, I will test this in Champion (it's been awhile since I've played the poor deck...). I don't think the Suture/Orchard is gonna be worthwhile in Champion because of the 2cc non-human, but if I do, Bob will follow too (5 black sources and swap a land for a swamp, seems 2-of include). I will probably reduce the Walker count in the list (dropping Garruk and an Elspeth) for the Stations and see where that gets me. Maybe drop some other stuff for Bolts (a Tracker and idk what else). I'll have a list later this week. A lesson learned from Artist, mana diversity options help when having mana problems and with so many 1cc removal in RBW, why not run something under snare and easy to pay for leak/snag.
And a side note - I think our Primer needs a bit of an update on card pool, match-ups, lists, splash choices
If you have had much time to check into it. Hoe does orchard and priest work out? I really like the combo but not sure its worth giving them dudes. I thought about it but the chances they have a sword makes it hard to include. They equip a sowap and its really hard for you to fight thru that. Probably impossibe for a sisters deck.
Its not much different than trying to fight through their myrs. With Artist, you're not forced to duke it out as much, except with artist on board. The orchard tokens don't have flying and have a color, but they're still only 1/1. Artist runs the sister effects like a champ, and that singleton bond wins games. the only thing I don't like about artist is the lack of recursion. I may try splashing green for bloodbond march, but I'd hate to do that. Maybe second sunrise? Lark? Sun titan? Ideas?
On a side note, Blasting Station makes the mirror/Soul Sisters m/u less of a stalemate, even with life totals getting close to 100 each...
I can't believe neither of us thought of it before, but even without miracling it's almost a one-sided board wipe in terms of clearing out Myr for 2R. I play mostly physical cards again, which is good because I enjoy that but playing online less means no Bonfire of the Damned until it rotates next year. When I've playtested my budget version against friends there hasn't been a game where I haven't wished "if only I had a bonfire in here"
By the way, my physical version is Boros colored for mana-fixing reasons and back to the Soul Sistery roots. Hopefully I'll be getting my Serra Ascendants through PucaTrade in the next two weeks.
Your last list looks good. Not sure how it will play out. Like the blasting slip minicombo though. Does your deck really need path? I know that is usually a stupid question, but with artist and bolts and additional bolts and slips it looks like exiling is not the correct thing to do. Wow did that make any sense? Trying to say -2path +2 bolts or +1 bolt and +1 slip? I mean what are you exiling that you couldnt just bolt or blast slip away and get more damage done?
I like the idea of trying slip. Some of the things you need PtE to kill are too big for killiing them with direct damage (like if someone drops an Elesh Norn) and I think they're significant enough to justify Path over killing removal.
Hum. I see your point. I have to think that maybe the damage they take when she drops may put them in range of burn if you have artist, or you could just slip her at eot. Im pretty sure something you have is going to die if she enters play. Just assuming, based off all the large bodies this deck has. I mean if she comes down then the damage is done. What good does path really offer? Is running 2 paths really worth it for a very rare situation like this? Can you truely recover after she board wipes and you do path her? Kinda looks like its saying, ok im dead, but get her out of here!
I see path @ 2-3 of in about 60% of my games and very rarely do I not want to see it. Path is necessary in all lists imo because of witness/reanimate effects. Path is an out for Kiki, Griselbrand, Titans, Elesh Norn, etc. when you don't want to see it again for the rest of the game. Not to mention the only other 1CC white creature exile are Dispatch which requires metalcraft, and Reciprocate. Both are subpar to PtE.

I will have to give it a try in both lists, maybe in place of bolt/oring. The monetary value is a bit daunting though (seriously didn't see it going over Tamiyo...glad I haven't pulled and traded away any before seeing it's value. And now we have to deal with it in Standard another year...Seriously, it's comparable to Bob in price, wtf?)
I keep trying to think of a possible hybrid between Champion and Artist, but just can't seem to find a good mesh. It always ends up being clunky even w/ half the creature base the same.
A little trick I'm trying is similar to an old Zendikar standard deck RW Spiritdancer aggro for Champion. Fling in response to champion removal/game ender. Lets face it, if a champion stays on the field for very long, it gets big, only to get chump'd, path'd, or bounced. Their out became an ouch for Kher Keep activation mana. I'm trying it out as a 2 of, and it has been decent for me, further testing will show me if it's worth keeping.
I'm curious about Dragonmaster Outcast since I like the card but haven't used him in a while. How many do you run and how's he been for you?
He never made the cut in tri-color decks for me, but in my RW decks with 3-4 Ranger of Eos he was an awesome 1-of that could sometimes be a silver bullet.
I took ideas from various people in this thread and made slight adjustments. I like the idea of using blood artist to threaten any mass removal making huge lifeswings into your favour. So I used the idea of getting a lot of life at first with the soul sisters to give yourself a buffer and then start draining them with suture priest or getting card advantage through bob (since your highest cost is...4 with ranger of eos). Life loss to bob as many mentioned, miniscule compared to the amount you'd gain through soul sisters and suture priest. I actually wanted to include blasphemous act at one point but...bob said no. Hissing Iguanar is a poor man's blood artist.
I liked the Suture Priest/Forbidden Orchard idea on paper, but in testing, I had trouble eating through those tokens in RBW. I will also test Hissing Iguanar, but probably not until after we see the fun stuff we get to add w/ RtR. Lately I reverted to a single Sun Titan in my Artist build. Hits EVERYTHING I run, and @ 1 because of Bob. I can't justify running Ranger of Eos in my list too well, since it only hits Norin and the Human Sisters.
Blasting Station has been a choice card for me. If you haven't tried it in the deck, you're missing out. I honestly think this card should be considered a 2-of staple in our lists. We have the bodies to toss and shoot down up to a x/5 in one turn by playing 1 creature need be (Creature on stack, use BS, creature enters and genesis on stack, untap BS, reuse BS, token enters, untap BS, eot Norin return on stack, use BS, norin enters chamber on stack, etc.)
Actually, the orchard was meant to add to blood artist + board wipe with the volcanic fallout. I could skip orchard altogether, but it seemed like a good idea with suture priest and blood artist/hissing iguanar going into board wipe(while you gain life for your myrs and they lose life for theirs). I'll try out the blasting station. It can be even more painful if blood artist is out. Probably replacing the iguanars at this rate.
One more note that I should add, if you like the lands that produce weak tokens, Kher Keep has made itself a semi-staple in the deck. Easy, cheap chump blockers, Mentor triggers, life triggers, station fodder and Eldrazi Monument sacs, and an outlet for that red mana we have to run for norin.
I don't have the chance to take it to any major events and most of my LGS friends are more interested in NayaPod and Delver for those events. If I ever get that chance to hit up a PTQ or Grand Prix, I'll be bringing both decks and my legacy with me for tourneys. I have been running my Artist build in Lantern's IQ the past 2 months, but I've had 2 recursive control decks (Esper Teachings and Bant Control w/ witness titan and cryptic) as my opponents. I took a game from each match, but couldn't get quite enough reach to finish the job in g3's. Artist just seemed to me to have the more stable long reach for me now, Champion is more threat oriented IMO.

Raid Bombardment is a scary fast alternative to ajani. Also, super budget. Unfortunately, doesn't work with champions.
Dragonmaster Outcast is pretty annoying for a lot of people. I often get all the manaa I need.
Student of Warfare is pretty awesome, but it gets way too tempting to dump too much mana into him.
Suppression Field is great sideboard tech vs Splinter Twin, Naya Pod, Living End, and Affinity.
Wheel of Sun and Moon is an on color alternative to leyline of the void.
