What cards, if any, do you think should be unbanned/banned in Modern in the next announcement?

With EDM we get a high impact set, unbanning (or banning in this regard) cards into this setting will be a nightmare. We will have to wait roughly 6 months before the meta will settle again (besides when the next set is also a high impact one and there it depends on what form of impact spells) before we can expect any changes.
Furthermore, the current meta is still in flux, many strategies are in a upswing right now while other ones still lose ground. Hence, no stable metagame at all.

I would on the other hand like to see Punishing Fire come off the list and maybe Bloodbraid Elf. Personal preferences of course. Maybe someone could explain why either of these would break the Meta. Maybe Jund would become to prevalent?
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Bloodbraid Elf is banned because of Jund. As long as Jund remains in Tier 1, BBE doesn't get unbanned.

They wanted to shake the format up for the Pro Tour by banning Twin, which I'm not happy with but I understand. They needed to ban Eye of Ugin because of how bad of a problem Eldrazi became after OGW.
So I think they should just leave the format the way it is.

They have historically made the announcement the Monday before a release (Monday after Prerelease weekend). I still have the bad memories from Oath of the Gatewatch midnight prerelease when the ban was leaked early (Friday night). Luckily I was already pre-gameing and had plenty of beers to cope!

Ban nothing but unban Birthing Pod, Deathrite Shaman, Ponder, Preordain, Jace, Stoneforge, BBE, Chrome Mox, Punishing Fire, Splinter Twin, Sensei's Diving Top, Summer Bloom, and Seething Song.
“Homo homini lupus est.”
That said I think the format is fine where it is (minus counterspell) and the BnR list won't be touched until something needs to go.
If they were to unban something it would be a card for fair strategies, anything that aids or enables unfair magic likely won't come off, making Jace, SFM, ponder/preordain, and BBE (in my mind) the likely candidates.
I know you are saying you would like to see this not that it should happen but it is highly unlikely to. Reasoning is that even though the mana curves are more varied in modern miracles is most likely still too good since it is too good for legacy.
Did not vote anything to be banned.

Want to play a UW control deck in modern, but don't have jace or snaps?
Please come visit us at the Emeria Titan control thread
I think there may be too many there, just a couple, but at least the poster realizes some cards are just too strong
on another note, who is the joker who thinks Jitte is a good idea? I love creature decks, but that is arguably the most busted card on the list

I advocate for the elimination of the combo archetype in Modern. I believe it is degenerate and unfun by its very nature and will always limit design space and cause unnecessary bans.
I know, but my group has tested with it, and it reduces the format to hyper-fast creature decks and the winner is the one who resolves it first, Merfolk became broken
Also voted unban stoneforge, jace and green sun's zenith. rationale is that jace/stoneforge are just not really more powerful than what's currently going on in modern from a fair midrange plan perspective, and GSZ while fairly powerful is not nearly as powerful in a lightning bolt format as it is in legacy (where it's a fringe tier 2 card anyway).
Creature based ramp decks in general are fairly weak in modern, due to the abundance of cheap damage based removal (bolt, electrolyze, etc.) and really don't see an issue with allowing creature toolbox decks a bit more consistency in return for their fragility.
The issue with pod is primarily being able to cheat on cards with persist creatures and also cheat on mana; GSZ doesn't let you cheat on mana to stick creatures out, and doesn't let you cheat on cards by fueling with a persist creature or the like. In many ways GSZ is weaker than chord in modern (though obviously it is a stronger card, there are many advantages of chord).
It's simply not strong enough to warrant a ban imho. In combination with pod it would be oppressive, but without pod I think it's fine.
