we also had a list from GP Lincoln that you might want to look up. It might could use a bit of tuning, but it did win a 720+ GP that was around 15 rounds of swiss.
The OP is aware of the GP considering he mentions it in his post. Please read before posting. Spam warning. t_c
The deck got some instant noteriety from a GP win and it gets alot more players piloting it, thus increasing it's results. (You should have been playing it when punishing fires was legal... Brutal!)
Aggro Loam is definatly a top tier deck right now and probably will be for the long haul due to the powers-at-be's disdain for combo and blue control. Aggresive decks are the thing to be playing in modern, and AggroLoam is the answer.
I'm just thinking of getting into modern and this deck seems like a good choice. I love loam builds in legacy and the good stuff for it is still mostly there in modern.

Seems like there isn't much graveyard hate being played in sideboards lately. That should change over the next few weeks. It'll be interesting to see how the deck adapts. I wonder if there's enough sideboard space to transform into Jund and avoid the hate.
Most people seem to be playing Bronson's list but I just can't imagine playing this deck without Faithless Looting, something closer to _ShipItHolla's build.
i can see more graveyard hate, because it works with past in flames too.
but really don't know much.
Don't know if i sleeve this up for the side events of the GP next weekend, what do you think?
where's that list?
I think it can't hurt... honestly this deck looks a lot more fun for people to be playing than some of the other things I have seen people playing around here.

Spells (19)
3 Blightning
2 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Lightning Bolt
1 Liliana of the Veil
2 Maelstrom Pulse
1 Putrefy
3 Smother
3 Thoughtseize
Then just go -3 Smother, -1 Putrefy, -1 Liliana, -1 Inquisition, -3 Thoughtseize, -3 Blightning for +4 Seismic Assault, +4 Loam, +4 Countryside Crusher. Then you can have the discard in the SB. The manabase would definitely need work in the form of several more fetches and making sure at least 20 of the lands tap for red. The man-lands might want to be removed unless you were running Birds, though.
The nice thing about the aggressive builds (i.e., Goyf, Crusher, BBE, Lavamancer and Bolts with either Bob or KoTR) is that if they bother screwing around with grave hate, it won't matter too much. Sure, it'll hurt in the same way that Kitchen Finks hurts burn, but also, graveyard hate doesn't shut down the aggressive version at all. Why? Crusher still gets his +1/+1 counters. Loam can refill the yard if you play another. Seismic Assault still turns topdecked lands into burn, and so forth. That's one reason why I dislike the versions running Flame Jab and Raven's Crime: your late game is already strong, so why become even more reliant on Loam to win games? Flame Jab is a bad Assault, and Raven's Crime would often times be better off as Inquisition to fight through the early game.
Plus, every piece of graveyard hate they might SB in has some disadvantage. With Relic, you can just play around it by playing around it in the classic sense. With Leyline, they have to mulligan into it, and you know they're wasting the full 4 slots on it. With Cage...well that doesn't affect Aggro Loam! With Wheel of Sun and Moon, it leaves your current graveyard in tact.

I think it would be pretty good, four life is only two lands. There will be times you'll lose by those four life though. I'd avoid the 2cc slot because of spell snare and jump straight to cards like Krosan Grip.
If you want to get on the Aggro-Loam train cheaply, do it now. Black Lotus project has Countryside Crusher at $1.54 which is the highest it's been since Morningtide was released. That's up 210% since February 4th. TCGPlayer has just 6 copies under a buck and most are beat up. SCG is sold out of foils. Just a heads up.

WoTC, thank you for finally announcing the Modern format, an eternal format where everyone can participate.
I was un happy with Bronson's mana base, and went to work to attempt and make it better, only to learn there wasn't a lot I could do about it. I wanted to get up to 8 Fetch lands because of their inherent synergy with Loam, but after all my tweaking, the most I was able to get was 7. This is where I wound up.
The SB was the other area where I was mildly dissappointed in the deck, but I couldn't come up with a good one. I have a PTQ this weekend ad this is what I'm currently using.
I've been thinking of getting back into magic (haven't play competitively since Guildpact) and into modern and this deck and Jund seem great.
The hard thing is that there is not set metage, last big top8 where I live was:
UW Caw (winner) 2XMelira Pod,UR Storm,BW Tokens, Tezz Aff,MW martyr and UWR Delver Scepter.
I wanted to try a hybryd of Jund and Aggro Loam, or at least a version that's more resilient to graveyard hate.
How do you guys feel about list like this one?:
It's not a control/grindy as Bronson's list, is more aggressive but I think it's better equip to handle graveyard hate.
I can't test it since I haven't fully decided what deck I want to build for modern but it seems good.
Oh and some of you talked about a white version with KOTR. I was wondering if someone could post a list and if they can explain the pros and cons of playing white over black.
It seems to be that discard is key for the deck and I can't see how KOTR/Qasali and PTE maybe? are better than Inquisition/Raven's/Confidant/Liliana.

I'll take a shot at that last part regarding the KotR version.
With the Knight of the Reliquary version, you go more of an aggresive route that the Jund color version with bob. KotR synergizes really well with your LftL and Seismic Assault. And is a mana fixer or tutor in her own right (see bojuka bog/any utility land with a ETB trigger). KotR can get really big really fast with your Loams and Fetches fueling her so don't under estimate it.
One major thing that people have against the Naya colored version is the lack of inherent Card Advantage that Jund gets from Bob. To counter-act this loss I'm planning on playing faithless lootings in the deck plus bloodbraid elves to give both synergistic card quality from looting/loam/knight, and true Card Advantage from the elf. I'll post my list I'm looking to run in the next hour or so over my dinner break.
What I think is the biggest difference is that the Naya version really is AGGRO-loam, where the jund version leans more towards Midrange-loam, hence the grindy feel of the deck Bronson was running.

Naya makes your clock a lot faster by dropping huge KoTRs, and not having Bob helps vs fast decks like tempo and burn. When you need 8-12 fetches to capitalize on Loam and need to fetch lots of Ravinca duals to consistently hit RRR for Assault, you've got a lot of lifeloss already, and Confidant makes that worse. KoTR, instead, gives the deck an answer-me-now type clock, he bins more lands for Loam to be effective earlier, buffs Crusher, and he can help vs. Tron and control by fetching Tectonic Edge. If you really want CA, you can add in a Horizon Canopy or two. The reason I've been running Jund over Naya is because Bob gets a very slow and gradual advantage (i.e., on turn 3 you've drawn 1 card, on turn 4 you've drawn 2 cards) where as KoTR has a more immediate advantage (establishing a fast clock, being a blocker, feeding Loam).
The nice thing about black is Inquisition of Kozilek, which is huge. Targeted discard means you get to know what they're playing immediately, you can grab anything you can't deal with and can slow down their gameplan. Mid/late game discard can grab counters or removal. By contrast, Naya can get Qasali Pridemage or Glittering Wish as a reactive answer to artifacts/enchants, which is often important. BGR can always just run Maelstrom Pulse, though.
Being able to race burn in RGW is pretty sweet, though. In the SB, you get Gaddock Teeg and Fiery Justice as options. Fiery Justice will easily 2-for-1 or even 3-for-1 most decks. In Naya colors, I feel comfortable against almost any deck because of the fast clock backed up by an extremely strong lategame, but decks that drops a Thrun or Giest of Taft Saint can be a major pain, though. Running your own Thrun in the SB helps. Birds of Paradise also allows you to comfortably run 4 Assault and helps you vs. Blood Moon. Here's my current list:
I think that ghost quarter is a better bet in our land base than tec edge. Tec edge is too controlish and too slow for us. If we are going to run mana denial we are going to have to make it mana screw and pooch our opponents out of particular colors.
i feel like the pridemages and the basics in the maindeck can help us against bloodmoon enough, and we don't really need to ramp into anything particular.

The naya list seems pretty good, I like the one from isopsycho86 better (not a fan of birds in a format with so much removal). Engineered Explosives and Faithless Looting I don't like. I can't find a match were I really want the explosives except maybe affinity. And without Raven's Crime and Flame Jab looting loses power.
I think that if I played the Naya list I would make this chance: -4 Looting, -2 Explosives, 3 Kitchen Finks, 3 Lightning Helix.
Naya is probably better against Zoo, Boros, R/XW and G1 against Aff. But I think the RGB version is better against combo/control thanks to discard and flamejab/jundcharm/darkblast make G2&G3 against aff better.
(not a fan of birds in a format with so much removal).
Who would waste removal on Birds? I've never had an opponent waste a removal spell on BoP so far (minus when they used something to removed it as a blocker).

Jund would "waste" removal (specifically, Lightning Bolt) on Birds versus Exalted Hexproof Bant, as its 3-drops are nigh-unmanageable (Geist of Saint Traft, Troll Ascetic). Teachings may also "waste" an EOT Disfigure on Birds to delay the 3-drops long enough to Mana Leak them. Good players "waste" removal on Birds to get a cheap Stone Rain.
I think that ghost quarter is a better bet in our land base than tec edge. Tec edge is too controlish and too slow for us. If we are going to run mana denial we are going to have to make it mana screw and pooch our opponents out of particular colors.
Ironically, since Tectonic Edge is true LD, it is actually more likely to mana screw and colour screw opponents than Ghost Quarter. GQ lets them search for the basic land of their choice, and chances are, it will un-colour screw them, and it will almost definitely make you lose a land while they keep a (sub-par) land (unless it's late-game and they did indeed run out of basics). Unless you can reliably recur either of those cards or unless you are in a meta full of 4- and 5-colour decks, I prefer Tectonic Edge.
I would gladly have my opponent use their Bolt on BoP. That just means Goyf/Pridemage/KoTR/Crusher will hit them-those creatures die to a bolt, too. Sure, Goyf/KoTR will get big later on, but on turn 2/3, they're often still in Bolt range.

Decks with Mana Leak and Rune Snag, when on the draw, definitely want to Bolt Birds just so they can actually Leak KotR instead of sitting idly by on Turn 2 with 1 land while you slam her down. They're also likely to have the Spell Snare for Pridemage and Goyf (but that does create tension between Bolting the Birds and leaving mana open for those guys).
Believe me, if those decks could play Mental Misstep and/or Gut Shot, they'd hit Birds with those.

It's similar to Todd Anderson's list without the Haakon Nameless Inversion combo.
It's actually a pretty simple transformation. Take this 1st place Jund list:

4 Blackcleave Cliffs
1 Blood Crypt
2 Copperline Gorge
