This is a deck from last summer when Eldrazi Tron was the deck to beat. Dismember kills just about everything in that deck at the lowest possible cost, but it taxes the life total. Street Wraith also taxes the life total, but can become a liability later in the game when Dismember can still be cast for some extra mana. Just take a look at the top 32 decks from that event and notice how many of these decks are creature-based. This is the kind of metagame where an extra Dismember may be more valuable than the 4th Street Wraith.
It's also noteworthy that nearly all Grixis Shadow decks from that era had 19 lands. Cutting a Street Wraith from today's vanilla version with 18 lands, 2 Temur Battle Rages and up to 4 Anglers seems loose. I have never been the biggest fan of Street Wraith, but it is a crucial corner piece of the more aggressive game adopted by the current incarnation of our deck.
I noticed this list from the Pro Tour and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on it. I see there are no Liliana's but the sideboard also seems pretty interesting. I think the lack of K-Command doesn't seem all that great though but overall it seems to be possibly going for more consistency.

the white splash in the sideboard makes it hard because you are really hoping to get the godless shrine in time to be able to cast it turn three or even so you have to be able to get it in the graveyard if you do not have the shrine out. I can see why its better than young peezy on certain match ups but young pyromancer is able to constantly create threats. Even though it does not stop the flying evasion so it depends on the meta and how people attack it to be honest.
I'm definitely curious to see where this goes. It could even be a good thing (I'm trying to believe it don't burst my bubble). If they start running too many 4 drops we can rush under them better? Maybe more weak spots.
I wonder what they will cut to fit in jace. Supreme verdict and cryptic are both amazing cards against a lot of decks. If they cut those we may be able to wiggle in with enough stubborn denials.
I think the other thing I'm worried about though is that the green DS variants will end up being the "better" version with BBE. It obviously doesn't mean we have to play it, but I liked the variety in decks we had before. 4 cmc is likely too high still. Possibly?
Young Pyromancer may be good idea with Jace running around although it didn't work that well for me when I tested him. I still think the best strategy against control will be as it was before Jace unban which is to kill them as quickly since long game favors them.
I think you are correct. Trying to play the CA game against U decks running JTMS is not a good idea. They WANT to play that game. That is what they do best. We need to take an aggressive approach and just kill them fast. I am looking for cards that can be in the side (maybe main) to help with that right now my self. So far, I have not come up with anything that I like.
