Ray of Revelation is real for W splash, but super meta dependent. Plays well with Collective Brutality, but not if Leyline of the Void is already on the board. In rare cases you can also IoK/TS Ray out of your hand if stuck on mana.
I agree though, Rec Sage is way too slow. I want to be playing Lili / Traverse / Shadows / Fulmo on t3.
Leyline of the void, who sides that against us...? I don't think its very strong, as the opponents graveyard will grow goyf. Leyline of Sanctity is a real problem against combo, though. And only requiring 1 green colored mana, Reclamation Sage can get us out of Spreading Seas-trouble and Blood Moon-trouble on one basic forest, potentially being tutored with traverse.
Anyone who runs it will probably side it in against you. Goyf isn't the only thing it hits after all.
Yeah, I've seen people lose because they topdecked worthless Leyline of the Voids. All to make traverse into basic lands, IF they have it in their opening hand...
Hello,I have Grixis DS but am currently playing tron heavily so a friend and I are building him DS Jund.We have everything but a couple goyfs,is grim flayer the best replacement?I have those. And is the white splash the way to go?We have the cards to do either or.
Thanks
White splash is great if you have a midrange meta. Goyfs are kind of the reason you go jund. Flayer is a good card, but not a good replacement for goyfs. If you can't get them, I'd stick to grixis honestly.

If you want to beat Tron in a DS shell, then play Jund running temur battle rage and splash blue for counters. Note though that grindy matches will be very hard. Therefore I highly recommend going for a white splash version. Its stock as it always has been tbh.
Hey everyone, I wanted to share some SB tech I've been having success with lately.
My metagame is largely linear, with a heavy concentration of Tron, Merfolk, and CoCo decks, as well as a healthy spread of other aggressive lists and a couple of GBx/URx players. I've been running a pair of Flaying Tendrils and a third Temur Battle Rage out of the board in place of Fulminators and they've been working pretty well for me.
The Flaying Tendrils essentially do everything that I want from both Kozilek's Return and Anger of the Gods, with the only exceptions I've found being the lack of instant speed against Affinity and it failing to kill Prized Amalgam out of dredge; neither of which have been big in most of my matches. It also has the bonus effect of killing elves through Ezuri, which has been relevant in more than a couple games.
The third TBR in the board has made all tron matchups feel pretty favored, though I will admit to having a larger concentration of Eldrazi Tron than the Gx varieties. It has also made racing elves, merfolk, affinity, and burn all feel much more doable, as we aren't relying on hitting a 2-of to close out the game.
So far I haven't missed Fulminators much and I've greatly enjoyed being able to side in cards that win me the game when I see them rather than simply put me in a winnable position; though every once in a while I'll find myself at turn 4 or 5 against Tron or burn with a K-Command in hand and wish I could double stone-rain them.
Somewhat relatedly, how would the DSJ blue splash fare in my metagame and how badly do you sacrifice your ability to grind by splashing blue over white? I haven't tested the blue splash at all and I haven't seen enough in this thread about it to feel informed.
Someone at Kobe (forget the list or name) was running the white splash main with 1 Watery Grave, 3 Stubborn Denial, and 3 Lingering Souls in the board. I am kind of tempted to give that build a spin, especially due to the changes in my meta lately.

What do people think of cutting a fetchland for a 2'nd blood crypt in the mana base? It looks like there's a lot of dredge and a lot of company running around right now, so I really want to run 2 angers in my SB.

I'm not a huge fan of cutting fetches. Flaying Tendrils does a lot of the same work in again CoCo and Dredge (barring Prized Amalgam) but it is worse in the Zoo match up.

Hello DSJ players!! What is the status of our beloved deck? Any new tech and good experiences?
Is good deck. Currently split between classic DSJ splashing white in sideboard, DSJ with maindeck blue splash for 2-3 Stubborn Denial (essentially removing the TBR) and blue sideboard cards while removing the white splash entirely, and a very small percentage trying to do 5 color madness.
There has also been a significantly noticeable shift to Grixis from Jund, with Jund still having a tier 1 metagame share.
According to opinions I respect I will likely be removing the white splash and going to a blue one, but remaining in DSJ vs Grixis. It's just more my style of play and I've always been of the opinion that Grixis style decks require higher skill/better knowledge of the format/more reps than I have the time to develop.
I was goldfishing that All In Devoted Remedies deck earlier this week when I had a stupid idea. I can't tell if pile this is horrible or great. It's tested well, but that could just be low expectations. Let me know if you're brave enough to give it a whirl.
I like this version quite abit actually. Having the extra counters may be a good tech for Big Mana decks. Might be a bit tight concerning SB slots as you need to implement all these tech cards but overall can be reasonable.
The meta adapted super fast to DSJ, you also have to keep in mind that DSJ really swept tournaments when big mana decks where looking to dominate.
I definitely think this this shell is tier 2, not because it's low in power, but it got edged out.
I think if you want to play DSJ, Grixis is the way to go for the foreseeable future (I sold a bunch of non BGx staples so I'm not interested to play Grixis DSJ)
I'm really interested in playing Abzan with Bobs now to counter all the creature heavy decks and Shadow players.
Yeah, grixis being able to dig for hate cards and the delve threats being outside of push territory are just better for the new meta. This is still a strong deck, but not as good in the meta.

Any enchantment killer creatures that cost 2cmc?
