Hey talking to some jund players and they mentioned Lost Legacy. Seems like an auto win or at least really good against a number of decks like scapeshift variants, ad nauseum, maybe tron, eldrazi and other decks that only have a few cards we're really worried about. It's also only a 3 drop.

Also, Flying, you starting to conceive that traditional Jund isn't a good deck to play in this meta?

Depends on what fliers they have. Not many decks right now uses flying threats except for maybe for any deck that uses Inkmoth Nexus and possibly Vendilion Clique.

No articles too insightful.
I asked Ktkenshin is I could post a compiled sideboard guide from premium, but he told me that because it's so heavily focused on what to put in and out, it'd b almost as bad as posting the the pay to view article itself, so I couldn't help you guys with that and give some specifics
I hope more articles are posted, the deck is still new so theres less content on it

I've been considering 1 Nameless Inversion in the 75. It's another tribal instant that I won't feel like holding for reach and sometimes a pump for +3. Idk if it's worth it or not, so I'll be testing it some. It does hit some problem dudes like displacer though.

Alyius, I think traditional Jund is in a bad spot right now. It's slower than DSJ, and Titanshift, Tron, Eldrazi and grindy control decks are big in the meta right now, and Junk is better off fighting decks like Death Shadow, Jund, Grixis, etc. For the first time in a while MTGO has regular Jund dipping below 4%.
This deck takes a while to pick up, I'm still sucking with it, but it's fun and you can definitely feel how powerful this deck is.
I actually think both Jund and Abzan aren't particularly good right now given the fact how popular ramp decks are but I agree, although it's hard to admit, that Abzan is better than Jund. If I went to a tournament I wouldn't play any of those two decks but rather Death's Shadow or Affinity. Death's Shadow is in a really good spot and I enjoy playing it although I must admit that I prefer the older more explosive version with Probes. It took quite long time until people realize how good card Death's Shadow is. It adds a lot of speed to the deck which improves most of your your matchups compared to Jund and Junk.
Btw how are matchups against RG Valakut decks with this deck (RG Breach, Titanshift, Scapeshift)? I mean Jund and Abzan suck against them and I'm wondering if this deck does any better, if faster clock helps.

Finally finished the deck in paper (mostly, waiting for MM17 to hit before buying LOTV, Last Hope will have to suffice for now) and went 2-2 in my local modern event due to a mix of poor play and poor luck.
The List is pretty standard:
CryptoSC's DeckMagic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards
Creatures: 13
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Death's Shadow
4 Street Wraith
1 Ghor-Clan Rampager
Planeswalkers: 2
2 Liliana, the last Hope
Spells: 23
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Thoughtseize
4 Traverse the Ulvenwald
3 Tarfire
1 Fatal Push
1 Abrubt Decay
3 Kolaghan's Command
2 Temur Battle Rage
1 Collective Brutality
Sideboard: 15
2 Surgical Extraction
3 Lingering Souls
1 Ranger of Eos
3 Fulminator Mage
3 Fatal Push
1 Kataki war's wage
1 Eidolon of Rethoric
1 Collective Brutality
Round 1) 1-2
I played vs a good friend who was on Gifts Storm.
G1 - I keep a super slow hand and die to Empty the Warrens the turn before I can kill him (because I needlessly shocked myself 3 times while only having Goyfs in play, still struggeling with when to not shock ^^)
G2 - Hand full of disruption and 2 early DS finish the game fast.
G3 - He slows my goyfs down with remand twice but eventually I land a Eidolon of Rethoric. Unfortunatly, the turn before I can kill him he EoTs a Echoing truth on it and goes runner runner for the win in his turn.
Round 2) 1-2
Got paired vs RW Prison
G1 - I keep a hand with only one threat and my throughtseize shows me a hand full of removal but through patient play and him drawing unfortunatly I eventually grind through all of them and kill him with a maxed out Goyf.
G2 - Having a decent start I have to decide between a T3 4/4 Death's Shadow or a Lingering Souls (I know he will drop a Nahiri the following turn). For some stupid reason I decide on DS which he kills with a eot Blessed Aliance leaving me with no pressure to keep his Nahiri in check. Have I lead with Souls I think I might have won (since next turn I can drop DS as a 7/7)
G3 - T1 Thoughtseize shows me Chalice, Blood Moon, Nahiri, Gideon and lands, one of which was a gemstone caverns that entered play at the beginning of the game. I pick Blood Moon instead of Chalice because I had a Kollaghan's Command (and a Fulminator) in hand hoping to rip a 3rd land in time, i never did and the chalice turned of my Traverse.
Thinking back it was foolish to not take the Chalice (probably).
I woukd have taken the blood moon too. It all depends on how you would have correctly fetched, and how you would have dealt with the blood moon.
Unfortunately we cannot tutor it out with Traverse the Ulvenwald even though with Delirium, it says we can search up a creature card; however, the card being a Changeling the card any creature "type" like Goblin, Merfolk, Elf, etc. but doesn't actually make the card a "creature" card, just a creature "type". If it works with creature types, oh boy...
Played 3 test matches and went 2-1 but each game was a struggle. Not sure I sideboarded right, either.
-1 liliana of the veil
-3 fatal push
-1 something (can't actually remember)
+1 ghost quarter
+2 surgical extraction
+1 maelstrom pulse
+1 ranger of eos
Didn't bring in souls or fulminator. Considered it too slow or vulnerable to graveyard hate. Wondering if, instead of liliana I should have taken out an inquisition of kozilek
Any advice on what to take out or bring in? Toughest part of the matchup is engineered explosives by far. Everything else I can seem to deal with.

Tarfire is actually really weak vs them. I wouldn't drop all 3 though and I wouldn't drop veil since it's one of our only answers to their big dudes usually. I would likely cut a traverse, 3 fatal push and a tarfire and bring in any removal. We want to be able to kill or snag their big dudes with hand disruption and play through their paths. You should also kill their displacers asap.
Wouldnt you leave in the fatal pushes though? Once you turn on revolt, you can target displacer and though-knot. Sure its situational, but better than tarfire. I would definitely keep LotV in. They will likely board in RIP and worship
So I got some testing in tonight. Abzan is a definite tough match. I was testing pure jund list to see how it is and it can definitely hold up. I'm honestly not sure which I prefer. I like ranger, souls and bullets, but the consistency with jund is hard to beat.

I keep the LotV's in because killing their big stuff is pretty hard in our deck, plus I've been keeping a Big Game Hunter in my sideboard for these decks to someday live the dream of upticking Lili and killing a Drowner/Smasher. (I'm currently on the no white, Jund version though)
Bant Eldrazi is rough, but do NOT cut fatal pushes against them
Cut the K-Commands, they suck against them. Since the run Paths, well, that makes Command bad, and if they play EE, chances are they'll play it and not just leave it vulnerable to a K-command/Abrupt Decay, so I wouldn't rely on bad playing from someone else
Temur is underwhelming against them
Fulminator and lingering souls is too slow against them, extraction is also really bad, they have a bunch of fatties. I have to check about the tarfires, you want to kill their mana dorks though
Drowner of Hope is the card you need to not let them cast, if it lands on the battlefield it's all but over. Displacer is also you're hugest weakness, which is why you can't just be cutting all those fatal pushes out
Is there any part of this that seems bad or doesn't fit?
I feel like eldrazi is a matchup I'm weak on, as well as tron.
My maindeck is "stock". 1 abrupt decay, 3 push, 2 temur, 1 ghor-clan.
Is it correct to just run terminate, path or something? I feel like we need a big "gotcha" spell for creatures such as drowner, smasher, wurmcoil, tasigur, angler, etc.
What do we think of oblivion ring? Seems.... Decent?
First game I was not focused and did play very poorly, was against Ad Nauseam and lost therefore 0-2. Since I played very poorly I kind of don't count this match, as it was completely due to me, not due to the "weakness" of the deck.
Next Match was against Grixis Griselbrand, won easy 2-0. Deck just feels alright. Ton of disruption combined with unanswerable big threats is just too powerful for them to handle. Both games were not even close.
In round 3, faced regular Jund, which I won 2-0. This matchup feels though, but both games the resilient stream of threats combined with disruption to take their removal was quite good. The games were challanging though.
Sideboarding
-2 Temur Battle Rage
-1 Ghor-Clan Rampager
-3 Tarfire
+1 Fatal Push
+3 Lingering Souls
+1 Liliana, the Last Hope
+1 Renegade Rallier
Fourth round I faced Affinity, which I won 2-0. This matchup did feel very easy actually. Not sure whether I just had luck but I easily fought through opposing Etched Champions in one game. KCommand and Push did their best work and I won both games with an trampling TBRed Death Shadow.
Sideboarding
-2 Liliana of the Veil
-4 Toughtseize
-1 Street Wraith
+3 Lingering Souls
+1 Liliana, the Last Hope
+1 Ancient Grudge
+1 Kataki, War's Wage
+1 Fatal Push
Last round I played a mirro match against another white-splashing death shadow deck. Won this match 2-0. In game 1 we pretty much destroyed us each other, with my opponent getting to hard cast a Street Wraith (those are pretty insane in the mirror match!) and getting to attack me ever turn. I played Ghor-Clan Rampager and passed. My opponent played another Wraith and attacked me down to 4 life, having 2 Wraith on the field. Which meant he would win next turn pretty much guaranteed. My opponent was at 6 life though, I topdecked a Tarfire and instantly attacked with Ghor. My opponent chose not to block (as I would die next turn if he safes both wraiths) but I had the lethal Tarfire. In game 2 my opponent was stuck on 2 lands and I Fulminator Maged his only black source, which was GG.
I am not sure what to do in the mirror yet, I feel like Fulminator is good, but kinda dilutes our strategy here. I am pretty shure I sideboarded wrongly in the mirror, should have brought Souls in I think. And also, the Renegade Rallier should have been a Ranger of Eos for sure, but I didn't have it and my LGS did also not have it and so I had to play Rallier instead. Was pretty solid though. However, next time I am going to get myself a Ranger and also Ethersworn Canonist, as I think 2 CBs are too much in my meta.
Pretty sure we're not supposed to talk about possible bans here. Lets worry about it when it happens and for now, try to keep improving the deck we have. It seems to have a strong presence at Dallas open this weekend, I wonder how many make day 2 and how many are hated out. There's one guy that just got bumped to 3-2 and the other moved to 4-1.
how do we feel about anger of the gods in the sideboard?
necessary? I've started running 2 without any testing, due to another list running them. I feel like they are decent enough, but it raises the question - what is it for? I guess the obvious answer is dredge... but beyond that, are we just ok running spot removal? I like being able to 2-for-1 merfolk, zoo and the like. that's awesome. but do we *need* to be able to do this, or should I run a reclamation sage/collective brutality/something else in their place?
finally - Worship. any traction in the deck for this? specifically i'm thinking against eldrazi.

I feel like some kind of sweeper could be useful if you face a lot of those GW Company decks that have a lot of chump blockers. Idk where you'd put it in the white splash Version though.
Theoretically yes, but would you spend 3 mana on a card that doesn't do anything when it comes down right away? Given that this deck quite constrained on mana, I think this would just be a timewalk for you opponent concerning tempo most likely.
Phyrexian unlife is fine if you have a really aggressive meta.
As for Anger, it's good vs affinity even missing champ. It's also great vs abzan company and other go wide small dude decks. Your dudes are likely to be bigger than theirs and it kills all the x/3 dudes in zoo. I'm running 1 sb.

There's not enough results to know if this deck is ban worthy, it'll need a few more months.
No, I don't think this deck would work well without baubles, it only runs 18 lands
