You literally just said all of the above cards are good against decks such as affinity, merfolk, elves and so on.
"All of the cards are excellent vs d&t" are we reading the same comment?
Yeah, except you seem to have difficulties reading more than 8 words in a row.
"All the above cards are excellent vs d&t with the perk of being good vs other annoying decks, such as counter company, stuff with lingering souls, affinity, merfolk, elves and so on."
Taking this to my LGS tomorrow.
Is it alright to run no 3 drops and 2 4 drops? I don't know whether to cut Kalitas or Huntmaster. If I cut one a Finks might go mainboard, or maybe a Fulminator Mage.
Sideboard also needs work in the upper half but I'm not sure exactly what to put in there. Lots of DS, some Jund and Tron at the LGS from what I've heard.
Been playing BG rock for a while now and I'm going to switch to Jund or Abzan because the ghost quarters are not really strong right now.
With that being said I have been testing bloodghast out of the sideboard against control, deaths shadow and BGx for the past couple of weeks. I have come away extremely impressed with the card. It also has really strong synergy with kalitas with Lilliana. Has anyone else tried this card?
You're running three 4-drops. Lilianas are your 3-drops.
I also don't quite understand why you'd bring Anger to a metagame full of Jund, Shadow and Tron. That's a completely dead card against them - let alone two copies.
If you're running 3 Fulminators, I'd add Surgical Extractions to the board so you at least have a glimmer of hope against Tron. It doesn't hurt against Shadow either, I guess.
I really like my second Pulse out of the sideboard to deal with troublesome stuff like Shadows, Lingering Souls, opposing Lilianas or Karns (because Ugin is game over anyway), Goblin tokens, Wurmcoil tokens...
How is everyone doing against Abzan Coco these days?
It should be a decent matchup for us but between the full set of Finks, CoCo, Gavony Township, the combo, and the sheer amount of creatures they can ***** out in general it's surprisingly tough to keep up with them once they get going.

Last night I lost an absolutely brutal G1 against it wherein I didn't see a single Scooze and he cast the SAME Coco 5 times (he ran 4 Ewits). G2 open-hand Grafdigger's and G3 drew it on T3 = those were easy games. He ended up with 2 Cocos that did nothing in his hand G2.
G3 he boarded in RiP against me... I was ok with that. Huntmaster and Ravine won both games.
One thing I've noticed is some tricky choices with discard depending on their hands. Lots of redundancy, and it's tempting to take a Finks just to not have to deal with it twice. My angle is stripping their CA cards (Coco, Ewit), save removal for combo pieces. I usually side out my Lili's since blindly +ing is asking for free smiters, and edicting will hit a dork as often as hitting something you actually care about.
All in all I agree - the matchup feels favorable in a vacuum, but it gets VERY hard if they're able to cast multiple coco.

Well it turns out my info was outdated.
G1: R/B Storm. Round 1 I died on turn 3 to a 15-storm grapeshot, round 2 I fought back but got swarmed by 4-storm Empty the Warrens with no board wipe to counter.
G2: CoCo. Won 2-0 due to him flooding and screwing in both games.
G3: Bant Eldrazi. He scooped Round 1 due to Thoughtsiezes and Inquisitions plus Bob on board for gas before he could stabilize. Round 2 he dropped Thragtusk and I had no Goyf or kill spells to deal with him so I really just had to take 6 to the face. Round 3 I fought back pretty well after a tough choice between Pulsing a Pithing Needle naming Liliana or a Thought-Knot. I went with the Thought-Knot (in hindsight I probably should've hit the Needle but I was already pretty low and afraid he had another creature in hand and I didn't want to let that much power on the board with nothing on my side). He dropped a Reality Smasher and managed to get me to 0 with a Finks on my field through Trample.
G4: Bant Spirits/Coco? G1 he came out fast before I could stabilize, plus I drew all three Scoozes. He also Reflector Mage'd one pretty much locking me out, plus swinging in the air with double exalted Spell Queller. Round 2 he dropped Burrenton Forge-Tender which made the Anger of the Gods I drew on T2 useless as I tried to stall out for a Terminate/Bolt. He double Spell-Quelled my Scoozes and my Goyf couldn't do anything about it.
I also don't quite understand why you'd bring Anger to a metagame full of Jund, Shadow and Tron. That's a completely dead card against them - let alone two copies.
I assume he doesn't mean the metagame is 100% Jund, shadow, and Tron, just that those are very popular. Anger is one of your best cards against a plethora of top decks right now.

I live for fair Magic.
What's our best sideboard cards against GDS? I keep losing this matchup. I feel like Nihil is useful but doesn't clench the matchup, and I already have Damnation, Last Hope and a 2nd Maelstrom Pulse in my board.

Well, they can't deal with resolved enchantments so if you're feeling adventurous you could try and grind with a Phyrexian Arena or Outpost Siege. Pretty specific though.
Leyline of the Void should be decent too, I think. Nihil isn't enough. I always liked Surgical Extraction for Shadows / Snaps / Snap targets.

This isn't a match up where I sideboard much. Largely, I only bring in Leyline of the Void if I'm running them. Damnation is usually unnecessary. So I guess Nihil Spellbomb would be analagous. Spot removal is generally better than trying to use sweepers against them.
I usually side out my Lili's since blindly +ing is asking for free smiters
They don't run Smiters, but yeah, Lili can go.
See, that's what I thought, too. I hadn't looked into the deck in quite a while, but sure enough G2 I thoughtseize this guy and he's got a Smiter in hand. I'd already sided out the Lili's anyway but I figured maybe they had updated the list. It's possible he ran them out of board, too; didn't ask. The guy's decklist seemed pretty personalized, as such things go. Glad I'm not crazy.

Just to second the guys who already replied: I open-handed a Leyline against GDS this week and it made the game extremely one-sided. Afterward he showed me a stranded Gurmangler and Tasigur. They operate on such a low land count that you basically shut off their delve threats, which are the things I'm primarly worried about anyway. That, and the value grind via Snap.
Nihils have to be timed pretty perfectly and that's difficult to do since it really needs to happen fast to take them off delve. They can also refill the yard via thoughtscour et al. pretty quickly afterward.
In spite of this I've swapped the Leylines in the board for spellbombs because they're soooo much better topdeck and still do their job against dredge etc. Leyline really needs to be in your opening hand to do its job.
T1: RG TRON 2-1 (1-0)
GAME 1: T3 Karn, Pulse on Karn, T4 Ugin GG.
GAME 2: Land IoK, Land Goyf, Land FMage, Land Liliana, FMage, GG with Goyf.
GAME 3: He didn't have tron pieces on 3th turn and I managed to play FMage, in addition to 2 thoughseize. Tasigur + Liliana brought home the match.
T2:UR STORM 2-0 (2-0)
GAME 1: I began with 2 discard spells and Liliana 3th turn. Goyf made the rest.
GAME 2: He sided in Blood Moon and Ensnaring Bridge. I began with Iok, Swamp, Verdant, Raging, Thoughtseize, Lightning Bolt, Tasigur. Verdant for Forest and none problem with his Blood Moon on 3th turn. He played Ensnaring Bridge with my Goyf + Tasigur. At the end of this turn Jund Charm +2+2 on Goyf and in my turn Maelstrom Pulse on his Bridge...GG.
T3:UW CONTROL 2-0 (3-0)
GAME 1: He played a lot of Planeswalkers. New Gideon CC3, Jace Architect of Thoughts, Elspeth Sun's Champion, Gideon Jura, and then Spreading Seas and Detention Sphere. In this game I managed to play 2 discard spells and Liliana of the veil on 3th turn, in order to leave my opponent with 0 cards in hand. On topdeck he drew 2 Gideon and Jace, resolved by Goyf, Ooze and Maelstrom Pulse. The choice of 2 MPulse MD was very strong to me.
GAME 2: Iok, FMage, FMage and then Seize + Liliana..GG.
T4:ELDRATRON 0-2 (3-1)
GAME 1: T3 Karn......G2.
GAME 2: I mulligan to 6 in order to keep with a Fulminator Mage. I dind't draw any FMage and I've lost with T4 Tron pieces, with 2 Reality Smasher and Karn.
T5:VIZIR COMBO 2-0 (4-1)
GAME 1: A very long game. He played 4 eternal witness and he managed to play 6 Collected Company, but the ability of Tasigur and Ooze brought home the match.
GAME 2: on 4th turn he had Finks, Noble, Bop, Witness. In my turn Anger of the gods. In his next turn he played another Witness, Vizir and another Bop. Subsequently Tasigur + Jund Charm. GG.
SIDEBOARD: -4 liliana of the veil -2 kolaghan's command | +1 damnation +1 jund charm +1 engineered explosives +1 anger of the gods +1 nihil spellbomb +1 surgical extraction
T6:UW CONTROL I.D. (4-1-1)
The prizes were 100%, so we decided to split all prizes in the TOP8.
Some considerations:
- 4 Fulminator Mage: I don't know how you should win against Uw Control, Rg Valakut, Mirrors, Eldrazi, Tron....without Fulminator Mage. This was MVP in a lot of matches. Nevermore under 3-4 copies.
- 2 Maelstrom Pulse MD: wow. It is the first time to play 2 of maindeck. This was the best choice I've ever made with Jund. Maindeck is a flexible slot against any kind of deck.
- 2 Tasigur, The Golden Fang: the star of the deck. You should try it.
-1 Rakdos Charm, 1 Golgari Charm, 1 Jund Charm: Three wonders cards. I love flexibility in my sideboard, and they managed to do what I need. Rakdos Charm is less powerful than others, but is very strong right now.
-Nihil Spellbomb: I prefer this card instead of Leyline of the Void. Absolutely. In addition to Rakdos Charm, Jund Charm and Surgical Extraction....I'm happy against graveyard decks.
-3 Kitchen Finks: I expected some Mirrors, Burn and Grixis Shadow...but there were maybe 6/7 players with these decks.
So, I'm very happy with this list, and in the next tournament I'll play the same list.
Do u have any questions about my list?

I like your Deck!at the First Time your decision of Tasigur Looks weird but it works good for you:)!do you Play him because he is fatal Push Proof or is His ability also important for you?and why you kicked out lilly the Last hope completely?
Nice job man! In addition to the last question, how would you sideboard against grixis control and grixis death shadow if you played them?
