Still more a fan of Dromoka's Command, as it hits a lot of important Enchantments, as well as slowing down Burn, and it can be removal with all the fat we throw out.
So I took Bant for a test drive tonight a local LGS and went 4-0.
Vs Burn 2-1 Win
Vs Eldrazi Tron 2-1 Win
Vs Company 2-1 Win
Vs Simic Tron (home brew but really good!) 2-1 Win (game with played Chalice on 1, and got Platinum Angel out with O Stone... I figured out I couldn't after finding a path and realizing it was hopeless, G2 and G3 I just smashy smash )
Deck felt great, SB'ing was spot on and I learned from some sloppy misplays against CoCo. I still won that match but it would've been easier if I minded my mana better,
I am 7-1 locally with Bant Eldrazi, and every game has felt interactive. I'm going to run Bant Eldrazi this coming week at the GP.
Vs Burn you want to board like this: (this is what I do, and SB'ing is list dependent)
Out: -4 Smasher
In: +1 EE, +1 Worship, +2 Stubborn Denial.
You still want a fast start, but smasher tends to be a bit slow here, you really want to land TKS, strip them of Deflecting Palm and block with Spawners every time they attack (just throw them under the bus, they are literally a 3cmc cost fog). You cannot keep slow hands, and be prepared for them to bolt your dork. Good hands Vs Burn are:
3 Lands (hopefully one of these is a temple), Dork, Path, TKS, Displacer, or 2 Lands, Dork, Path, EE, Stirrings, Spawner.
These hands offer some form of interaction and a T2-3 Play. You need to block, chances are the first creatures you play will eat a bolt or Helix.
That's terrible advice... take out drowners first then EEs. Put in worship and chalice (on 2). Easy matchup, I don't even have blessed alliance in my sb.
i found drowner relevent in tapping their attackers , i can be wrong, its worked fine for me, i do think i sb out 1 drowner and 2-3 smasher, i dont always remember exactly what i do, but like i said its worked for me and i have a positive win percentage against burn. Any losses i took were due to misplays.
well of it is terrible im sorry, maybe share the best sb plans so we can improve right?

Standard Arena: Eh? Gruul or Die
Modern: Decks I'm playing right now: G Mono Green Tron (34-10-3 paper record, only SCG/Regionals/PPTQ record) C Eldrazi Tron (9-5) UG Infect RW Burn
This is the result of a small torunament I played yesterday: did 2-2-0
R1 - Hatebears (2-0): easy match, fast tks and drowner won both games.
R2 - Boros Burn (0-2): first match when I controled the board he won with direct burn. Second match I has a slow start, but when I put 2 smashes on the board deflection palm makes the difference.
R3 - Gifts storm (2-0): tks won first match and RiP + explosives won the second.
R4 - Goblins (1-2): very difficult match. goblins are very aggresive. Lost the first, second worship won and third I missplayed a explosives in the wrong time and lost. I think I need more life cards on MD/SB
Other decks on the champ that I remember: UR delver, RG tron, BG elves, Jund.
Against this ton of aggro meta I'm thinking of change witness for blessed alliance or remove another drowner for +1 thragtusk and/or add a timely reinforcements to SB. Unfortunately I dont have a third EE. Any tips I apreciate.
Sooo.. looking at scg charlotte, we'll need to tweak the deck to more gy hate for grixis/dredge/living end and qhost quarters for eldratron? What do you guys think?
I have only faced it 3 times, but I'm 2-1. One of the wins was a 2-1 in games where I timed him out in game 3 though, because I got the Drowner + Displacer lock that he couldn't get through (I had exiled his Ballista, so he had to win by attacking with Rhona-pump).
Regarding list I'm currently trying the one in the link below with a MB Relic + Dismember. I'm gonna try a split of Reshaper/Skyspawner this weekend I think.
What is the current position of Bant Eldrazi in the current meta? I'm slowly trying to build this deck, but seeing it pushed to developing competitive looks weird. Is Colorless Tron much better choice in the meta, because of the surge in DSA decks?

I think Death shadow is a good match, but Living End and Counter Company have picked up popularity recently, and they are bad matchups.
I'm now 24-7 against Grixis Death's Shadow online. 18(!?) of those matches are 2-0s. I don't get how we can not put up bigger numbers when we are this good against the top dog. I seriously feel like I can't lose, and I have even started to ask the Grixis DS-players I face how they perceive the matchup, and they all agree so far that it's terrible for Grixis DS.
Because Death's Shadow isn't top dog. It's just this week's flavor.
Which comes to show that I find tiers on mtgsalvation to be rather stupid. In any meta a deck is powerful and probably busted when there's not enough hate to draw out. Just as manaless dredge can take down tournaments if people are running light to no GY hate in legacy, Bant Eldrazi is positioned to take out anything if the opposition isn't prepared for it. Just one of those things, like the fact I run 4 Rest In Peaces, 2 Nature's Claims, 2 Kataki, and 2 Stony Silence. Mainboard Thrag McSwaggy because the meta runs a lot of burn and it's hard to deal with a 5 life swing on game 1.
Seriously though, what happened at the GP was something amazing, not one death's shadow in the top 8 because of meta calls like hatebears wrecking people's days and that's arguably a top level strategy. The meta has shifted, people adapted, and look what happens to prove Shadow isn't the top dog or nearly as undefeatable as some people would like to believe.
My two credits..
