How do you beat discard, and Abrupt Decay on Seismic Assault, and how do you beat Scooze eating Loam? How do you deal with Siege Rhino? Shoot, how does your deck deal with Goyf for that matter? Bgx is miserable. No offense, but there's no way i believe you have even an alright match against BGx. Almost their entire deck is hate against us.

Not just the Tendo King, the power of the Galactic Leyline surpasses that of the Tempa Emperor, No!, It's magnificent power is even greater than that!
The list is somewhat similar to the one that had good result in the first big tournament post bans.
I believe the strenght of the deck is it uses engines rather than one for one cards (decay is still mandatory thought).
Lili has become super good and i really like her interraction with vengeful pharaoh.
Huntmaster is another advantage engine, with raging ravine and loam + retrace spells it is quite easy to flip it back and forth. He is a valuable asset vs control (they have to cast something on their turn) and vs aggro, because of the lifegain and additional blocker. He also provides a spare body for smallpoxing.
Pox seems good for attacking the meta i think, if we keep our other removal for small things, the edict effect can be gamebreaking vs annoying stuff like oozes and rhinos, especially since pod is banned (no more expendable finks, voices and birds).
Duress seems pretty good, i don't think this deck cares as much about creatures, which we have plenty of ways to deal with, as it cares about interaction win our engines, such as decay/pulse/etc.
The scg iq list used bloodghasts, i think i like young pyro better as it can be a win con and a much needed defensive engine.
If you fall behind, that is definitely your experience (discard > decay > scooze/rhino > impossible game state) against Junk. But if you don't, it's just as hopeless for the Junk player. Say they drop a bird, you Bolt/Jab it, they hit your Assault with a discard spell, you trade a couple creatures and cards, then you hit a Commune with the Gods (this is why I run 4, just keeps digging) or Looting and find another Assault. Make sure Ooze doesn't survive long enough to grow out of range. One Loam = dead rhino, say they exile it, you keep digging and set it back up before their creatures get out of hand, you lock it down and there's just no way they can come back at that point. I think we have a fine Junk matchup, my guess is run more library-digging cards to get back to work after a Decay or grave-exile, make sure you can kill a bird on the draw. The matchup is another reason I think 4 Assaults are necessary. I want to see 2-3 most games, then if it's a matchup without removal or countermagic or discard I'd probably cut one but most decks do have answers of some kind. The engine of the deck is powerful against creature + walker decks like Junk we just have to get online, that's why going all in on engine peices is so important.
Yeah the leylines are there purely for the storm and burn match ups. I was considering Kitchen Finks over the Courser; however I don't feel like a 1 of kitchen finks is worth and I'm not sure what else I would cut to add more. Completely forgot about bojuka bog and sejiri steppe; thanks for the tip. Honestly if Wizards would just reprint the cycle lands Loam would be so much stronger.
And @Lord Hazanko: There are definitely options such as abrupt decay and murderous cut for the BGx versions; Also Sigarda is actually impossible for Jund/Junk to remove once resolved. I think post board you just have to accept that Junk has way to many ways to interrupt the loam strategy and move to something else.
Well, i was fearing the abzan matchup as well but i just beat one today 2-0, things didn't go as bad as i thought. Flame jabs for lingering souls, pox, lili and decay for scoozes, raven's crime away their stuff, i never even landed an assault, just flame jab everything to death and beat with pyro tokens and huntmaster. Lost badly to living end though, this mathcup is miserable game one, fulminator, as odd as it may seems for a loam deck, really gives the deck a strong tempo swing.
Well, the guy i was playing had main deck gy hate in the form of bojuka bog, so the mathcup was even worst! I remember some lists were playing main deck leyline of the void, it is not uncommon for them to play main deck gy hate to avoid reanimating opposing creature...
Creatureless lists probably have to be closer to 28 with a few extras to run smallpox without issue. I think creature builds I prefer 25 land or so. That is just my opinion. I have always had best luck with the 25 lands creature builds. Especially pyromancer builds. They also tend to be more resilient against graveyard hate
Agreed, my pyro list runs 25 and during last night's tournament i never had lands issues except once because i fetched the wrong land. I even smallpoxed turn 2 into smallpox turn 3 and recovered quickly. And yes i feel games with gy hate are very winnable. During one game my opponent playing u/w heavy control sided in relics and sided out removal and i just stomped him with huntmaster and ravine. I still lost game 3 due to my impatience, i'll have to work on that
As for the top tier decks i feel like we have ok chances vs twin, junk and affinity. I'll have to see vs burn. Tron seems bad unless you run ghost quarters, tec edges are better vs most decks i think. Main deck relics are annoying, they prevent the tec edge/gq lock. Merfolk seems ok like every creature matchups, especially if they are low on counters, but vial is good vs pox. Scapeshift seems difficult because they lack creatures and they run counters. Raven's criming away their hand and tec edge lock with loam are our best chances. So because of Burn, tron, junk, living end and scapeshift (namely) i think i'll keep my 2 duress main deck, they just seem good vs all we can't interract best with, plus my meta is filled with fringe combo decks. I've also seen blood moon, very bad for us because we can't always fetch basics in the first 3 turn. Keeping a green and black mana open for decay if possible is safe, but i'd rather just duress it away.
Okay. so i saw the Unburial rites deck that Spoofed posted on the last page. And i tried it out. The deck was pretty cool. I just never got to cast the Unburial rites. So i thought that i missed the Gifts ungiven to make it more consisted. You can even go for the loam/assault if needed.
I was adviced against this kind of deck because of my aggro-heavy meta (with some combo decks like Twin, Scapeshift and Tokken decks), but I really love these kind of decks.
So, I wanted to ask which version would work better in my meta ? I'm thinking of pyroclasms and Courser of Kruphix main deck in a Naya/almost-creatureless shell.
What is your experience with burn/affinity/delver/BW tokkens decks ?

In my experience affinity is almost a bye. Assault completely wipes most anything they can do. The two issues you should have with affinity is that champion can stay alive so you need an answer for plating, also indestructible scissors when they enchant a darksteel citadel with ensoul artifact. But if you are running Naya you can run wear and tear out of the board to deal with these issues. Flame jab also goes a long way in this match up.
Delver isn't a huge issue but if it is burn heavy you'll want something to gain life.
Burn can be a serious problem. A lot of fetches and shocklands help them out, plus they are generally creature light so there isn't much to do about the burn. I was siding leyline of sanctity for a while, some players had a lot of luck with dragons claw since flame jab cab trigger it as well as the burn from your opponent
Do any of you know any cards that lets you exile cards from your gy to either reanimate or put a card from your gy to your hand?
I'm thinking of this because I'm kinda afraid of dredging all my creatures away with Loam. I would then run some misthollow griffins and maybe even torrent elementals. Just to not worry about loosing my creatures to loam. And make it a recurring threat
But its a creature at random. Wich is a bit dump I've tried it.
So thinking aloud here. What about a naya build with restoration angel and kiki-jiki?
Just to give the build another plan of attack. Is it stupid or an idea we can work with? I haven't tried to make a deck list yet
Fengraf is okay if you are playing with like 3 types of creatures, rather than a creature heavy deck, for the reduced variance. There's also Skaab Ruinator for synergy with the gryphin/elemental in temur. Alternatively, there's Haakon, Stromgald Scourge if you want to go Jund. Works well with Nameless Inversion. Less of a creature based synergy, but removal is relevant.
