Im looking into testing out Teferi also and hes definitely not a Mainboard staple. Aside from Control he doesn't really help too much but i might be just missing the bigger picture. More play testing is definitely needed!
Horizons is also seeming like a bit of a dud set for us so far, aside from maybe the previously mentioned Giver of runes and Ranger-Captain of Eos. But even then those cards seem kinda narrow and more fit for the Mono-White version of the deck. (Giver seems to be the better of the two but i don't see it as something that forwards our overall gameplan)
On that note from horizons I was thinking of trying 1-3 Astral Drift in conjunction with Irrigated Farmland The can-tripping with a pseudo instant speed (albeit gimped to only hit creatures) Flickerwisp effect could be interesting to toy with. Maybe they spoil something else relevant with Cycling.
The problem I'm finding is that we don't really have a solid etb in our 2 drop slot aside form Wall of Omens and Lone Missionary. I find the curve usually leaning too heavily towards 3 drops as they provide the meat of the strategy. Spreading Seas kinda fills the void best out of things i've tried, but in matchups its not great against its more of just a "1U: Draw a card".
about giver of runes and captain eos. They are good cards, but right now there's really no space in my deck for them. For those who maindeck Kami of the false hope, captain eos could be considered since he also fetches the 1 cmc spirit.
going bant? I tried doing this a few months ago. although not for glittering wish.. instead I added a playset of tarmogoyf to the deck. But it was not very reliable, the manabase became more easily disrupted by blood moon and opponent's field of ruin.. so I dropped the green, and went back to UW.
can be used as additional removal when there are plenty of Humans players in your area. To diversify removal when they start shutting down path to exile with meddling mage.

I'm excited about the new card vesperlark. It's 3 cmc, it flies, has 2 power to trade with Arclight Phoenix, and the death of the lark can bring back ... court hussar, or wall of omens, or blade splicer.
Also merely blinking it with flickerwisp can revive things.
Need to make room in my deck for 2 or 3 of this new flyer....
Vesperlark and On Thin Ice definitely are worth testing as they look really tempting as more weapons to our arsenal. As for my testing of Gideon Blackblade, I highly recommend substituting either a Lone Missionary or Phantasmal Image. The utility he offers is immense and helps keep us alive/pressure our opponents.

This is the WUG version i've just built (literally only played once with it but hope to get some new games this week. Also credit to Fincown as i based it of his list!
Till now only faced:
UW control (balanced match-up, was surprised at the number of new Planeswalkers from WOTS that they had and eventually it was their teferi, time raveler that ended up being the end of me)
Eldrazi and Taxes (super favoured, it's almost unfair to them)
Ponza (yes it was horrible. 2 games with turn 2 blood moon. In the first one managed to fight a bit with only white lands but they eventually crushed them, and the second i had a Dovin's Veto so i survived and only lost because of a missplay (forgot to activate Gideon one turn))
Eldrazi Tron (Once again, the new Walkers like Ugin, The Ineffable and Karn, The Great Creator from WOTS were the bane of my existance. Wasn't ready for them and even though they were close games, lost 2-1 because of them.
And i also played against a creature heavy deck which i don't quite remember what it was but it was a smooth win overall.
Dang, so I guess July 8th will be the last day to post on the deck here that sucks... this site was awesome for me as a mtg player, especially early on

Site will be going into read only mode, so no new posts. Check the latest news post.
Semi on-topic, is there somewhere where we can migrate to? This is one of my favorite decks, so I'd be keen to know of another place to discuss after the 8th July.
Maybe Discord? Not sure of any other informative mtg sites/forums. Supposedly they will be building an alternative site to this but nothing’s been released or discussed yet

Has Champion of Wits been working fine for you? I tried testing one in my deck.. it was initially good, but it's a bad topdeck on an empty hand compared to the hussar. Are there plenty of games where you are able to eternalize it?
____________
I may be crazy, but would it be better to have Thraben Inspector in the MB with this meta? Draws a card, pressures early, and can chump block on the ground while we solidify our gameplan. Would consider siding out the Spreading Seas (although I have a personal love for SS).

just one tip for those who will try out vesperlark. If lark and for example a wall of omens.. are destroyed at the same time by a supreme verdict -- you can choose to return the wall of omens to the battlefield. Because when the leaves the battlefield ability of lark goes into the stack it will see the wall in your graveyard.
First Soulherder! I think it's the early game engine that has been missing. Besides the ability to become massive in the late game, it blinks something each turn. That's just pure value!
Also Watcher for Tomorrowseems quite interesting, being a better Court Hussarbut only when it leaves. i think Court is still the better top deck, but i would open the question of playing this instead Wall of Omensbecause it's a body that can pressure a bit more, and has better card selection at the cost of speed of drawing it.
What do you guys think?

Maindeck: 60
Creature: 17
Instant // Sorcery: 11
Enchantment: 5
Planeswalker: 2
2 Gideon of the Trials
Artifact: 1
1 Crucible of Worlds
Manabase: 25
Sideboard 15
With Modern Horizons what i was thiking of trying out would be taking out 3 Flickerwisp, 1 Phantasmal Imageand 1 Spreading Seas and put 1Hex Parasite, 1 Giver of Runes and 3 Ranger-Captain of Eos
Thoughts about it are super welcome!
