Good luck, after seeing the list that took the scg, I became interested in the archetype Skred Dragons.
After a bit of thinking, I ended up coming down the list:
What do you think?
Hello Everyone, here I am again.
Yesterday I had the first experience with the deck, and was not one of the best rsrs.
Here is my disastrous result:
R1 - MonoG Tron (0-2): It was a match until "balanced", blood moon fell on t4, but he had already done a karn, so it was not enough to do much; R2 - GW Boogles (0-2): It was a very quick game, due to the fact that the opponent had t1 creatures with hexproof. I did not have much to do, when I got an Anger of Gods, the creatures of the opponent were already 4+ of resistance. R3 - RG Ponza (1-2): Very difficult match, I could not develop the game in a timely manner. R4 - BW Tokens (1-2): It was a pretty boring match to tell the truth, incredible as it may seem, my opponent had bitterblossom, and I could not find any of the copies of Anger. R5 - Mardu Pyro (2-1): Finally a victory, which by the way was quite easy.
Anyway, this was the champ's report that occurred here yesterday in my area. Honestly, it was my worst result to date, lol ...
But I enjoyed playing with the deck, even though I was a bit disappointed. As I have few games with the deck, I can not really say how it turned out. Even with Sarkhan,Fireblood and Simian Spirit Guide, I found the weak point of the deck to rely heavily on high cost bugs, that is, it was a bit slow to respond to the other threats on the decks that I faced.

Modern: UB Living End as Foretold R Skred Dragons CKCI
I think the Eternal scourge/koth version and this have the same power, but the play style changes a bit. Due to meta changes, I recommend having a card pool for both.
Also I prefer to use 24 lands than SSG, as we need constant high mana and not trying to deploy an threat as early as possible. Also the removal count can't be reduced, otherwise we will watch the opponent hitting us until a dragon comes in play.... and we want to cast and use haste.
I think Sarkhan is overrated, but Dragon-Skred is totally playable.
Spoiler alerts, he isn't. The card is just that good
I've been having decent results with skred is worth running dragon skred over eternal skred? Are there any match ups that are better or worse than eternal skred?
Eternal Skred is less punchy, but can grind better and has inevitability against a lot of decks. Dragon Skred closes games faster and is stronger against some creature based decks.
This Dragons deck is useless. Yes it can win via t3 Blood Moon or if your opponent is soft to removal or if he get unlucky but generally it is useless. Playtested and very dissapointed.
Maybe there will be sometimes a good list but current lists are garbage.
We could say the same about Eternal list before the GP 1st place some time ago, that the deck is "useless".
The fact is that this version (Dragons) is now popular and has it's strengths. In my opinion it has the same power level as the Eternal list, but for different playstyle and meta.
Nothing avoids anyone to have a card pool for both lists, as the cards are cheap.
I went to a pptq final using this list, and not got not even the top8 using Eternal list for more than 1 and a half year!
Been a while since I posted here, but have some updates to my list based on some playtesting in my meta. It's been quite a while since I played an event (work responsibilities), but it consists largely of GW Valuetown, Humans, Mardu Pyromancer, UB Mill, Affinity, and Burn, with some random other stuff.
The biggest changes are the re-inclusion of Skred over Dismember. This is largely due to Grixis Shadow and Hollow One disappearing from my meta, so Skred is better in this particular case again, at least for me. I removed a single Eternal Scourge to make room for the fourth Skred, and it's been working well. Magma Jet's been incredible at smoothing out draws, ensuring that I don't get flooded and still make land drops in a timely manner, while removing problem creatures.
Otherwise, most of the deck is built based on the spreadsheet work, with Skred being the big outlier. I can definitely see Skred being better in a meta like mine, which is filled with smaller creatures that can be killed with a strictly worse Shock and whatnot in the early game.
I haven't tried the Dragon Skred lists yet, and they don't really appeal to me at the moment. I'm not saying that I'm dismissing the Dragon lists as inferior - I would agree with Hugo de Prado that they seem equally strong and just require different playstyles (and maybe metagame considerations could be important between choosing between the two).
This weekend, I played with the eternal list, and I had the following income:
(2-1) UG Polymorph: I lost the g1 for not knowing how the opposing deck worked, and for not having solved a Blood Moon fast enough.
G2 and G3 were very easy.
(2-1) UW Miracle: The G1 was very controversial for both sides, but he solved 2x Jace, the Mind Sculptor, while I was exiling the grave of him to Search for Azcanta not flip, anyway ... He lowered the teferi and was very complicated, In the g2 was very fierce, but he had only 1x basic terrain, after trying to make the Stormbreath Dragon (which was canceled), he was covered and I was able to play the Blood Moon that solved the match.
The g3 was another easy game, I started by destroying his basic land, and soon after I solved aBlood Moon, he did not pass the 2nd land, the Goblin Rabblemaster did the rest of the service
(0-2) Ponza (This match was ridiculous): The G1 was very difficult, because he could not gather enough mana to lower the creatures / pw, he did 3x Bloodbraid Elf in a row, revealing Land Destruction and Scavenging Ooze, not being able to find any Anger of the Gods to be able to prolong the game in my favor.
G2 (Here the stupid thing decided): This game was well disputed, but over time I was able to solve things, I managed to respond to all his animals, except the 1x Kitchen Finks that IN MY HEAD HAD FLY, that is, I had 1x Pia and Kiran Nalaar in game and as in my head the Kitchen Finks had fly, he solamente me taking 2x PW and reducing my hit points to 4, as soon as this he made a titan that defined the match (that was already to have games). Honestly, this is the second time that my mind tricks me, I do not know why, but every time I see Kitchen Finks in play, I assume that it has FLY, anyway, I hope I have learned it once and for all.
(1-0) MonoU Tron: I honestly was 1-0 for the monoU tron ??when I decided to concede, I was stressed and tired, and the match is very boring.
Anyway, that was my trajectory with the eternal list, I honestly think it is stronger and more consistent than the dragon, but Sarkhan, Fireblood is a differential in the list of dragons, I will continue to play a little more with the eternal list and ponder my results.
At my fnm and Sunday tournament I went 1-2 had to leave for the last round both times
Fnm-
Round 1 storm 1-2 played against the best local storm player and the deck felt fine didn't find a rabble master to put pressure and he managed to combo off without a cost reducer. Pretty close games but he managed to take off.
Round 2 b/R budget 2-0 never seen this guy in the 4 months I've been playing but he had a budget elemental deck didn't really remember much took out all his creatures and he basically did nothing both games
Round 3 Naya zoo 1-2 a guy I've made friends with since coming to the shop normally plays jund but he built a random Naya zoo deck game one went well got blood moon off and he couldn't do anything game 2 back and forth he kept bolting me down we were both at 5 life and he managed to top deck bloodbraid unfortunately I had no removal and he had a bolt in hand game 3 didn't draw enough removal and got Beat down lol
Sunday
Game 1 u/r wizards 2-1 never seen this Deck but I've heard of it. Seemed like a easy match up as long as you draw a threat which I didn't game 2 and lost
Game 2 saheeli combo 1-2 game one pretty easy best him down after getting rid of his walkers and creatures game 2 he had the combo unfortunately never played against this Deck so I wasn't too sure what to do had used a bolt earlier on a creature should've saved it for the combo game 3 he evolutioned into Lyra and the hexproof angel couldn't get rid of Lyra and got beat down
Game 3 GDS 0-2 never played this match up and got destroyed got stuck on 4 lands both games with one Stormbreath in hand game 1 and both in game 2 doesn't seem like a hard match up wasn't too sure what too do unfortunately
Overall the deck feels great few matches where I feel absolutely useless. My lack of game. Knowledge really shows but im learning and the deck helps out sideboarding is kind of tricky but I think I've got it down was running 4 magma jets main and they are a all star however next week I'm trying 4 Mind Stone again. Also I run 1 Karn generally I get the worst card having the option to return a cards is wonderful he's put in a lot of work especially with the construct tokens and he also draws a lot of hate sometimes with Hazoret its a little more annoying but again since I get the worst card I pitch it with her or just play the land haha

One can say any meaningless stuff but I pretend to have an argumented opinion.
Skred Red was an established tier3-4 archetype prior to gp win. Aside from those that say there are 3-5 good decks I knew 2 years ago that there are 50 decks that can win a gp.
I playtested the deck and it was horrible.
Like, what are this deck's win conditions?
Ok Blood Moon wins games occasionally. Its rare, but some decks get destroyed by Moon, some lose too much tempo.
Aside from that, 4 mana 4/4 flyer, 5 mana 4/4 haste flyer? Really, in modern?
This is not an aggro, control or combo deck. Its a bad midrange deck with a lot of removal and standard power level finishers.
It has little disruption to overcome combo decks, almost no card advantage or speed to overcome control decks.
This is on top of curve inconsistency (6 5-drops, little mana sinks -> hello mana flood and mana screw) and questionable mainboard cards (Ratchet bomb and Anger of Gods are not good midrange cards, Draconic Roar is a joke)
Yes this deck should have solid winrate vs small creatures decks but against others it flops.
You post good finishes with the deck, but I bet there are more bad finishes hidden
To anyone else trying this deck: expect 20-30% winrate
I think 'Eternal Skred' is a superior deck because it gives more consistency and more reliability because with the same removal package you get wincons that dont die to Path, Push or Dismember
Last Tuesday we had the last round of the local league, I chose to play with the version Skred Eternal, where I made 4-1 (losing the last round to a MonoG Tron that was 3-0-1), follows below a little about the matches:
(2-1) Jund: The G1 was very easy, I managed to solve a Blood Moon that left him locked, I removed the Tarmogoyf with 1x Skred + 1x Lightning Bolt, and 1x Anger of the Gods cleared the other creatures x/3--; G2 when trying to finalize a Tarmogoyf, and ended up being finalized by him that stayed 6/7; G3 was practically a copy of the G1, my opponent did 1x Tarmogoyf 4/5 that I removed with the combination of Skred + Lightning Bolt, on the return I made a Blood Moon and he could not draw any basic terrain.
(2-0) Burn: At the option of my goal, I do not use side for BURN, as they are rare in our environment. I came quite aggressive, and I managed to finish it before.
(2-1) BG Elves: G1 lost because I could not deal in time with the creatures that were placed in the field G2 and G3 came with many removals and I managed to clear his field every time, I ended up with Koth of the Hammer and Chandra, Torch of Defiance.
(2-1) Ponza: That was the guy I lost last Saturday, I started missing the G1 because he drew 3x Bloodbraid Elf and I could not clean his body very fast; G2 and G3 It was very complicated, but I managed to deal with the threats (Land Destruction and Creatures) and managed to finish winning the match.
(0-2) MonoG TRON: This shot is the worst match, because I have a lot of dead cards, G1 I had to mulligan for 5, I could not stop the TRON, G2 was with a strong hand 2x Land, 2x Molten Rain, 2x Blood Moon, 1x Crumble to Dust, being in play, I knew I would be able to deal quietly (I would need to buy some WINCON only), but in the following 3x turns I bought Koth, Koth, Chandra, and it was time enough for my opponent to make a KARN and UGIN: '(
Anyway, that was the way I went, I believe that the more I play with the deck, the sharper I'll be with it ...
I would like suggestions on how to deal with MonoG TRON, we will have a special event next week, and I am paired right against this MonoG TRON that won me the last round;
I need to play more with the deck in order to be able to measure whether or not I have a good performance with him, so far I have a use of 58.33% in 18 games played.
