Crucible is a bit slow against Tron. And Tron player side in Nature's claims to answer Stony silnce and hit same time Crucible.
I prefer more wayfarers and LD lands in manabase to hate tron.
At times when I played Mardu Version of deck, Orzhov charm and Hide // Seek helped a lot to keep Wayfarer lock against tron, saving\reanimating wayfarer against removal and killing manual Oblivion stones and Wurmcoils.
**About streams I'm not sure. I hate Mtgo's shuffler so much so I sold most my tickets and stuff. Difference of draws in reality and MTGo is so hufe that my vinrate in MTGo is much less than in reality. I just can't explain how I'm salty about this. Yeah, also linear decks have much better and stable hands in MTGo... argh.
Please, do the streaming. I always learn something in your games, sometimes is when to wait another turn before cast Wrath. Another time is when go to aggro plan.
Magic On-line is awful sometimes, but it's our only source of virtual play. If you decide to change your mind, we will be happy
About your games and list.
Are you sure about 4 Surgical extraction in main? Not 3?
Sorry, but I didn't understand this question. Did you mean 4 Surgical Extraction in the sideboard? I like the fourth one because of Tron and Valakut. But I know that 4 Surgical Extraction for graveyard hate it's a declared fold to Storm, but in my LGS still there aren't Storm players.
Dredge is winnable without Relic of Progenitus or Rest in Peace, Living End too. Against GDS, BGx, UW Control I'm not bringing Surgical Extraction in.
I know that this plan will change when the Storm players arrive here.
What do you think about adding second Weathered wayfarer and free 2 slots instead of Aven Mindcensor? When I played this bird - it always was so slow (especially on draw) and vulnerable to any removal spell.
Well, the problem with second Weathered Wayfarer is that he isn't good on the draw too. But I will test this tip and tell you the results.
About Mainboard LD - my friend tests 4 GQ + 2 Tec edges with 2 Wayfarers and was fully satisfied with this LD plan. Prob test this?
LD lands are powerhouse against Valakut Decks. Even 2 GQ with some life can stop their plan unless they have Omen.
Yeah, this is another change to make. But instead of 2 Tectonic Edge, it will be Field of Ruin.
About third Proclamation. I usually use this tactic - if I want to cast Proclamation early on turn 3-4, I play 3 copies. If I need Proc mostly for Forecast ability or it's Forecast ability doesn't matter much - I play 2 copies.
I think that two copies is enough to me, but I will test three for a little more time to make a conclusion. I don't play too much MTG (less than I want )
If you're gonna play more wayfarers - you can play 1 copy of Emeria bcs you have more tools to search for her. When I played monoW my minimum number of plains to play Emeria was 11. Rest are slots for utility lands.
Also if you will play Cyclands - I think maximum of taplands in our decks is 6. More = very slow game. Cyclands also help to break through manaflood.
I will add Cyclands to the manabase and see what happens. With monoWhite I'm happy with 2 Emeria. I'm building a GW version, that use only one Emeria (but only one Weathered Wayfarer).
I'm considering getting back into Martyr-Proc after a few years (I played the deck briefly, but I just didn't love it). This is the list I've been testing:
I've done a brief bit of testing, and the MD seems promising except perhaps the Aven Mindcensors. I originally started with a Monument build, but discovered that Honor of the Pure and Monument didn't do enough to warrant a full playset of each. Smuggler's Copter has been really good for me though, providing card selection and a respectable clock when I can't get an Ascendant online. I haven't had to search up Walking Ballista yet, but I fell in love with the card in Green Devotion, and think tutorable removal is often just really good to have.
Does anyone have first round feedback or suggestions for me?

That's a lot of colorless spells, and mikaeus doesn't seem great, first thing to remember we are a control deck unless we have to force an aggro plan. So the monuments may not be the best thing either.... I could see copter being fine for card selection and ghost quarter is still better than field of ruin, the mana investment is too troublesome early game you will need to color screw or keep tron players off tron at times before you even get to 3 mana.... sometimes I'll ghost quarter a shadow or gifts player after a serum vision and they leave both on top
Just ended stream, 4-1 with Bant version.
Decklist in attachment.
5c Humans - won 2-0;
UR Madcap Moon - lost 0-2;
GW Humans - won 2-0;
Grixis Pyro - won 2-0;
E-Tron - won 2-0. Bant charm was amazing. Dromoka's Command is under question but was usefull.
Video to watch (some parts are muted) : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/185844977
Already did stream. Will try to stream some more in few dayz.
Yeah, meant SB surgicals, sry. I think Wayfarer lock without surgicals is also an option and more usefull, than wasting 1-2 slots on surgicals. I mean, it's overhate - no need in that.
Some hint with second wayfarer - opps usually don't kill him after killing first one. I don't know why..
Sure, Field of Ruin is much better, but with Tec Edge is much better against control decks to lock them on mana with Crucible of Worlds.
Tell your remarks about it pls. I wonder if there're options to play 2 or 3 copies other than I said.
About GW version - Wayfarer works very bad with Renegade ralliers, bcs you usually ramp with them and Wayfarer doesn't work. Also I'm not sure about playing 2 Leylines" Renegade can protect most your stuff with his Revolt ability. And if you're playing with Surgicals - no need in Wheel. And I think you can change O-rings for Cast Outs - they're much-much better.
Sry that I answered without Quoting - can't do it good and readable without wasting tons of time.
All that advice makes sense. I'll agree that Mikaeus hasn't felt great when drawing him. He was supposed to substitute as an alternate win-path if we can't get high enough life to activate Serra Ascendants or they get kept off with GY hate somehow. Still, he usually just eats a removal spell.
Monuments have felt sorta good, generating tons of chump blockers. They haven't really enabled a go-wide strategy, and simply playing another Wrath might be better (though I know you've moved to 3). Copters may serve the purpose of a back-up attack plan, anyway.
I've used GQ for a long time in Emeria Titan. Hitting those early Tron lands always seems like a must, but usually seems to set me back beyond the point of unrecoverable. Does Martyr-Proc handle that loss better?
One of the issues I've been having is with White and Green decks that often have better anti-GY tech. Beating Relic seems doable, but beating RiP (and to a lesser extent Scavenging Ooze) has often felt like trying to ice-skate uphill. Any recommendations for that?
Does anyone have first round feedback or suggestions for me?
As soccerfanxl stated, I don't like the Aggro (Oketra's Monument) plan for Martyr. It doesn't improve our win percentage against our bad matches (storm, Tron, Valakut, Griselbrand) and lower the average (CoCo Counters, BGx) and good matches (Affinity, Burn, Zoo). Maybe improve the GDS, but didn't tested it yet.
Smuggler's Copter is a card that I want test in the future. How were yours tests?
Mikaeus, the Lunarch is a card that @Krazran is testing. He can tell you his thoughts about the card.
The number of colorless cards I think isn't that big issue. I like Serra Ascendant because a fast Serra it's almost our only hope against the bad matches. Tough decision.
I do agree that Ghost Quarter is better than Tectonic Edge or Field of Ruin (cursed Tron)
Yeah, meant SB surgicals, sry. I think Wayfarer lock without surgicals is also an option and more usefull, than wasting 1-2 slots on surgicals. I mean, it's overhate - no need in that.
I do agree, but the decision needs more testing. Last week 4x Surgical was great, this week wasn't...
Some hint with second wayfarer - opps usually don't kill him after killing first one. I don't know why..

For me, Weathered Wayfarer is love and hate history. When I play two, usually I don't like. But I promise do more testings.
Now Field of Ruin it's very good. With Field of Ruin I can play seven colorless lands (4 Ghost Quarter + 3 Field of Ruin) without fear of being color screwed.
Didn't played against UW Control yet, but against the rest of the meta, on my opinion, the swap is a upside most of time. We can use Field of Ruin on Tron, Valakut and GDS, Burn and other mana greed decks to keep then off a color. We don't lose land drops, so, with Gideon Tribal sub theme, this is a upgrade. Because Gideon it's a big clock on their faces, they usually overextends the board and risk through Wrath of God. Wrath of God became so much better with Gideon in the deck.
Additionally, there was one game this week that I kept a hand with 1x Ghost Quarter and 1x Field of Ruin (plus Surgical Extraction, Martyr, Serra, S.Hawk and Gideon of the Trials). Turn three my draw was Flagstones of Trokair: Field of Ruin took a Tron land and give me a plains (next turn I had WW for Gideon).
About GW version - Wayfarer works very bad with Renegade ralliers, bcs you usually ramp with them and Wayfarer doesn't work. Still have to test GW, but don't want go third color.
The side is a mess, I agree. Wheel of Sun and Moon is there because of Storm, or is this too slow?
About Cast Out vs Oblivion Ring: My fear it's because of the high CMC of the deck. My deck has a 2,5 CMC in the average. According to this video: How many lands, the decks without acceleration with average CMC 2,5 needs to play 24+ lands. This kind make much sense. What do you think?
Did you have a GW Renegade Rallier list without Glittering Wish? At this time, my wish board lacks cards and will take long to have all of them.
Result: 4-1 (2nd place)
Games:
2-0 against BGx (Abzan Midrange)
2-0 against 8-Rack
2-0 against Burn
1-2 against Eldrazi Tron
2-0 against GW Hexproof (Auras)
Round 1: BGx (Abzan Midrange) 2-0
G1: With three Oblivion Ring effects, Liliana of the Veil is a way less scary. Opponent starts with Discard, Goyf. He uses Abrupt Decay on Gideon of the Trials and casts Liliana of the Veil. O'Ring takes care of Lilly.
Goyf beats me to eight life and S.Ooze join the board. I almost made a punt, my draw was Path to Exile, I almost cast it on Goyf, but thought better and use on S.Ooze. My next draw was S.Hawk. Hawks chumps two Goyfs for five turns. Them, he casts Siege Rhino (I'm at 2 life). Next turn Ranger of Eos and 2x Martyr of Sands gives me more time. Next turn Wrath of God to stabilize, them Proc to thirty life and Serra seals the deal.
G2: Kept a hand with four lands, S.Hawk, Martyr and a Gideon of the Trials. Inquisition of Kozilek took my S.Hawk, followed by Tarmogoyf. I start to draw lands and my life was dropping down. When I had 6 lands, my draw was Ranger of Eos. My opponent was drawing too much lands too. His board was only Goyf plus 4x Lingering Soul's tokens (Grim Flayer took Oblivion Ring). The two Martyrs gives time to find 2x Ghost Quarter and go to a active Emeria. Lucky, the draw of the turn was S.Hawk. Two turns latter, my board was Ranger of Eos, active Serra and Gideon of the Trials). Sideboard plan: -2 Proc, -1 Blessed Alliance, +2 Purge, +1 Hex Parasite
Round 2: 8 Rack 2-0
G1: I'm on the play. My hand was 3 Lands, Serra, Path, Wrath and Ranger. Thoughtseize took Ranger. Lucky, my first draw was S.Hawk. Liliana of the Veils gives me a hard time, but Gideon of the Trials helped a lot to took it down.
G2: I'm on the play again. His discard almost all of my hand, but didn't found a Rack. My Gideon of the Trials attacks three times, but Ratchet Bomb destroys him. When he casts Liliana of the Veil and -2 Serra Ascendant, my draw was Hex Parasite. Hex Parasite finishes the job. Sideboard plan: -3 Wrath, -1 Path, -1 Blessed Alliance, -1 Gideon Jura, +2 Celestial Purge, +1 Disenchant, +1 Hex Parasite, +2 Nevermore
Round 3: Burn 2-0
G1: I do a punt, because of overconfidence, I didn't sac Martyr go gain six life in response when he cracked a fetch (I had S. Hawk on hand). Next turn he bolts Martyr and stops the lifegain with Skullcrack. I do won the game, but I was at three life and he topdecked a land. Close one.
G2: This time I do the right thing: sac Martyr in response to crack a fetchland to gain 18 life. He concedes. Sideboard plan: -1 Weathered Wayfarer, -2 Oblivion Ring, -1 Banishing Light, +2 Celestial Purge, +1 Disenchant, +2 Ghostly Prison
Round 4: Eldrazi Tron 2-1
G1: T2 Chalice for one... :/ Gideon of the Trials is stopping TKS and S.Hawk chump blocking Matter Reshaper. I'm drawing only lands, but he isn't casting spells and had four cards in hand. He casts Chalice for two to stop Misveil+Hawk shenanigans. Oblivion Ring exiles Chalice for one. A top decked Ranger of Eos + Gideon of the Trials begins to change the game on my favor, but them he casted the first All is Dust. My next O.Ring takes care of Chalice on two. Two turns latter, I had Gideon Jura + 2x Hawk to chump. But he casts the second All is Dust. Next turn I cast Path to Exile on a Hawk and two Emeria became active. Them, he casts Ugin. I decided to keep playing because of the two Emerias, but next turn he casts Karn exiling a plains.
G2: I kept a hand with 1x Ghost Quarter and 1x Field of Ruin (plus Surgical Extraction, Martyr, Serra, S.Hawk and Gideon of the Trials). He starts the game with Gemstone Caverns, exiling Dismember and casts a T1 Matter Reshaper, T2 TKS (exiling Martyr of Sands). My turn three my draw was Flagstones of Trokair: because he had two Tron pieces (Wastes), my action was to Field of Ruin (took a Tron land), giving me a basic plains (next turn I had WW for Gideon) and he fetch for the first Wastes. His T3 was another TKS and I use Path to Exile in the firtst TKS (he exiles S.Hawk because I had two Gideon of the Trials). My next draw was another Field of Ruin, I choose to use it and take 7 damage (he fails to find a basic). My next play was Gideon of the Trials, stopping TKS and using Ghost Quarter on another land. I'm at 11 life. My next draw was Gideon Jura, that obliged Matter Reshaper to attack Gideon Jura. Next turn draw Path and use it on TKS, them attack for 10 with two Gideons. Matter Reshaper chumps Gideon and fails to find land. He had five lands and a All is Dust in hand, but couldn't find Eldrazi Temple.
G3: I'm on the draw. T1 Hex Parasite died to a Dismember. He casts Chalice for one again... I start to draw dead cards (one CMC cards like Serra and Surgical Extraction). He casts T3 Reshaper, T4 TKS that exiles Wrath of God. I had two Ranger and 1 CMCs spells. Next turn he casts another chalice for one and I topdeck an Oblivion Ring :/. Because I'm at 11, I choose to cast O'Ring on Matter Reshaper, next turn he draws the fifth land and casts Reality Smasher. My next two draws were Path to Exile and S.Hawk. Even if I had choose not casted O'Ring on the Reshaper I still had lost, because of Reality Smasher (11-8=3 life). Chalice was THE CARD on these match. Sideboard plan: -2 Proclamation of Rebirth, -1 Blessed Alliance, -1 Gideon of the Trials, +3 Surgical Extraction, +1 Hex Parasite
Round 5: Auras Hexproof 2-0
G1: He had main deck Leyline. But my Wrath took his creature and he couldn't find another one. Detail: Field of Ruin slows him down, because he had only two lands for a time (a Forest and a Temple Garden), and Field of Ruin obliged him to fetch a basic Plains. He had 2x Rancor in hand.
G2: He starts with Boogle and Kor Spiritdancer. I don't have removal, he casts auras (including Totem Armor) on his Boogle. But S.Hawk starts to chump. I use Wrath of God to kill the Kor and the totem armor, and draw the second Wrath next turn. But he finds the third creature and starts the beats: six every turn because of Spirit Mantle + Daybreak Coronet. But Ranger of Eos finds two Martyr of Sands. And the MartyrProc soft lock gives time millions turn until find the third Wrath of God. Sideboard plan: -1 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, -1 Gideon of the Trials, -1 Weathered Wayfarer, +1 Disenchant, +2 Nevermore
Overall, I'm very happy with MonoWhite MartyrProc. Gideon tribal is great, it improved the deck so much. Even Wrath of God became much better now (the UW Control players are saying this too).
-Three Oblivion Ring effects was great. Now I'm less afraid of Liliana, Chalice of the Void, Karn, Ensnaring Bridge. Thanks @soccerfanxl for the tips.
-Field of Ruin was great: disrupts opponents plans without losing a land. I think monoW can play the 7 LD effects (4 GQ and 3 Field of Ruin) plus 17 white lands.
-Flagstones of Trokair was great: Find Mistveil Plains without losing a turn due to it enter tapped. I will not play MonoW without Flagstones anymore. This lands even opens slot for the 2nd Mistveil Plains in the main deck.
-Irrigated Farmland: Didn't draw yet, but it's a relief to have this. I flooded in two or three games, and if one the lands was this cycle land, I would have seen one more card. Weathered Wayfarer may fetch for it too.
-24 lands: Don't know if 23 is better. The average CMC of the deck is 2.5. This number may require 24 lands. 23 lands + Cycle land seems good enough.
-Gideon, Ally of Zendikar: It seems good, every game that I cast him, I won. Opponents had to open the guard to find a answer to him.
-Blessed Alliance: Didn't use it (no opinion)
-Day of Judgment: Fear of Meddling Mage (Humans deck) naming Wrath of God.
-About the Eldrazi Tron matchup. I think I did sided out wrong cards against this match. How are you sideboard options and your behavior against these match?
But it is interesting that you brought up that we can get away with 7 colorless sources. Even keeping a hand with GQ and FoR might not be awful, depending (usually you will have a target to allow you to get a Plains with FoR). I do like a fast Ascendant, but that only requires one source of untapped white anyway, which means 14 basic Plains is sufficient.
Mikaeus has underperformed for me, and I had no hesitation about swapping that out.
Smuggler's Copter has been great each time I had it. It was an afterthought, but it does so much: lets your Martyr or small Ascendant turn into a clock, turns extra Hawks into new cards, and is even a reasonable mid-size blocker. I'm running two, and with cutting the Monuments, I'm debating a 3rd (probably won't go for it though). In the few matches I've played so far, it's been fantastic.
I expected the same from Ballista, but that hasn't happened yet. Maybe I should just play five Gideons.
I really like this deck list, I am considering running something very similar, and wanted to get your opinion on the no path plan. Do you ever miss it? I suppose I am generally wanting it against creature based combo decks, but not running any number in a Mono White deck seems borderline blasphemous.
I am thinking how much the effect stacks with the gq and FoRs, and in my list I'll be running crucible for maximum effect.
Sorry, somehow I forgot to include the instants in the list: 4x Path to Exile and 1x Blessed Alliance. The list marks nineteen spells, but only fourteen are listed. Thank you for letting me know. I'll correct the list above.
Path to Exile it's too much good and absolutely necessary. You see the power of the card on the videos that @Lear_the_cat recorded. Against the Humans decks, Match 3, Game 1: He used Path to Exile on a fast 6/6 Champion of the Parish. Lear was on the draw and played only two lands. The Path to Exile saved him at least six life and stopped Kytheon transform.
We have players, like @Kevin from RogueDeckBuilder, that puts Path to Exile in the sideboard. This is valid strategy when you full aggro, but I don't like this line of play even on that situation.
I didn't tested Crucible, it looks very appealing with seven lands that destroy lands. I don't own Crucible, so can't test it.
Please, test the list and give your feedback. I will appreciate that
More to come, but anecdotally I played 6 pre-sideboard games against my mono blue tron deck with the aforementioned manabase, and didn't lose a game. I kept the blue tron deck off of tron in 5/6 games... GOTT was an all star against the singleton big threats in MBT. Notably there are no Karen's or ugins in my list, focusing mainly on slaver and wurmcoil/sunder in titan.
Long story short, I am really excited to take this out to a tournament in short order.
Edit - full disclosure, I was playing both decks so technically had perfect information. I tried to be objective but likely wasnt completely.
I had some success with lingering souls and sky Hussar. Not at any huge tournament or anything but fnm level. I could see a list running lingering souls and looterscooter...
Some choices of note:
1. no weathered wayfarer, 24 lands + crucible - The thought here is two fold. I am going full bore on the "land destruction" plan with the Ghost Quarter + Field of Ruin + Crucible of Worlds, I should not need to tutor for them against tron, but I wanted to maintain a high count of basics along with the 7 colorless producers. The notable issue is possibly around wanting mistveil plains and being unable to tutor for it at will. I am hoping the Ghost Quarter + Flagstones of Trokair takes care of this possible issue.
2. No more than the 4 Gideon of the Trials as well as only 3 Serra Ascendant - One of the issues I have always felt with this deck has been the relative inability to just end the game. It is GREAT at staying alive and I have gone to time many times (due to slow play on my part in many cases). Gideon Of the Trails is amazing at both helping us stay alive AND finishing the game, at worst he is an expensive fog and at best he is the post wrath finisher I think we are missing. The combo with other flavors of Gideon I am not against, but for this weekend I am happy with this thought. The 4th Ascendant is something I have waffled on for a long time. My final justification was: Ascendant is a bad topdeck when we are behind. I would rather have Gideon. Time will tell if this turns out to be correct.
A few other points:
I really wanted the 4th wrath of god, but also wanted blessed alliance, putting the 4th wrath in the side board was a compromise with myself.
I started with only 2 ghostly prisons in the sideboard, but was too much of a chicken to not run the full set somewhere. Every time I have a choice to cast prison or something else I am always disappointed with the decision, I am not sure GotT solves this or not...
Kami of false hope main because he helps protect Gideon, and isn't completely dead if I don't have Gideon. The proc lock is sweet and frustrating for all the creature decks.
It looks like a good build, though I am certainly no expert on the deck. However, I think I'd like to play something similar to this.
Sun Titan is a card I have lots of experience with. It serves many purposes, including recurring creatures, planeswalkers, removal (Ob. Ring), and lands. Arguably, the ability to generate additional land drops this way will trump the power of Crucible, though I can still see wanting it. I might try to fit another copy.
As for Gideon, you'll never need more than one copy, so I'd probably play 3.
I also see Ghostly Prison as having great synergy with Gideon, and would want more than two MD (I don't know if 3x or 4x is the right amount).

Wayfarer lets you tutor the ghost quarter and is faster than waiting to cast a crucible ( you need to be quick against tron you can't give them 4 turns)... 4 copies of one walker is a lot. Ghostly prison is dead against too many decks or makes good match ups better, you need to hedge toward making bad match ups better.
4 Serra ascendant increases the chances of t1 ascendant t2 play and sac martyr for a swinging online ascendant against combo or tron. Most people cut kami because the fog usually isn't as good as the pure life gain from martyr unless you're against infect... one thing that has always helped me with sideboarding is to make a list of the top 10 to 15 decks and go over what I side in and see what you're lacking or over compensating on

Please, do the streaming. I always learn something in your games, sometimes is when to wait another turn before cast Wrath. Another time is when go to aggro plan.
Magic On-line is awful sometimes, but it's our only source of virtual play. If you decide to change your mind, we will be happy
Well, the problem with second Weathered Wayfarer is that he isn't good on the draw too. But I will test this tip and tell you the results.
Yeah, this is another change to make. But instead of 2 Tectonic Edge, it will be Field of Ruin.
I think that two copies is enough to me, but I will test three for a little more time to make a conclusion. I don't play too much MTG (less than I want )
I will add Cyclands to the manabase and see what happens. With monoWhite I'm happy with 2 Emeria. I'm building a GW version, that use only one Emeria (but only one Weathered Wayfarer).
I'm planning play with this GW version next week.
1 Emeria, the Sky Ruin
1 Mistveil Plains
4 Windswept Heath
2 Flooded Strand
4 Temple Garden
1 Gavony Township
4 Ghost Quarter
2 Field of Ruin
4 Plains
1 Forest
Creatures (20)
4 Martyr of Sands
1 Weathered Wayfarer
2 Thraben Inspector
1 Warden of the First Tree
4 Squadron Hawk
4 Ranger of Eos
4 Renegade Rallier
4 Path to Exile
2 Oblivion Ring
1 Banishing Light
4 Wrath of God
2 Proclamation of Rebirth
3 Glittering Wish
1 Gaddock Teeg
1 Sundering Growth
1 Sigarda, Host of Herons
1 Ajani Unyielding
1 Safewrigh Quest
1 Wheel of Sun and Moon
1 Guttural Response
1 Wilt-Leaf Liege
1 Dromoka's Command
3 Surgical Extraction

Yes, before you say it, I am aware the SB sucks.

Decklist in attachment.
5c Humans - won 2-0;
UR Madcap Moon - lost 0-2;
GW Humans - won 2-0;

Bant charm was amazing. Dromoka's Command is under question but was usefull.

Thank you much, Lear. I will watch attentively the video (and download before twitch erase it)
I do agree, but the decision needs more testing. Last week 4x Surgical was great, this week wasn't...
No problem, I'm testing the site's tools.

What's your general thought?

Long story short, I am really excited to take this out to a tournament in short order.

Sun Titan I feel is a must (instead of Elspeth, Sun's Champion) with the Gideon plan.
Any thoughts out there from the team?
