Well jund is more a turn 5 deck, we will be under the gun sure... but those 3 extra cards should allow us to combo through discard
Well, discard is a pain, true. But the suspend is going to be difficult. I'm not sure AV is the answer to that, though. Potp is more consistent in what it gives us, and we do have PiF to go off from the graveyard.

Stopped playing this deck before noxious became a tech. How is this mostly used? Can you guys give me some scenarios or plays that involve it?
It's been a while since I've played storm, but the tech is there. Probably the most common use is to present gifts piles that ensure you get a card you need - for example, being able to present a pile of Unsubstantiate, Repeal, Noxious Revival, and any 4th card to be 100% guaranteed to have a way to get rid of that pesky Meddling Mage on your storm spell. It can also be used to save certain cards from scavenging ooze, mass exile effects, or surgical extraction - that's a bit of a pipe dream, but it's such a dreamcrush when you do manage it.

You can refer to Caleb's blog. I'm not sure if you are allowed to look at your phone during tournaments (last time I played competitive Magic there were no smart phones), but in the even that it is allowed you can read his notes directly from the page.

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have. - René Descartes
Hi Stormtroopers! I have a technical question for you refering to Past in Flames and the ability Flashback. I've buyed into this deck two months ago and I'm having loads of fun with it (not so much for my opponents lol). I've started to watch Caleb streams (mostly on YT though) and reading his blog to learn how to play it better.
Here the technicality that I've stumbled on the past few weeks - the ability Flashback states : Play that spell / Then, exile it. Is the exile zone the only zone that a spell can go after a Flashback? In the case of the classic Grapeshot-Remand the Grapeshot in my hand-Grapeshot, can this happen if I cast Grapeshot from the GY?
I've asked this question to Caleb on his YT channel since I'm not really able to catch his streams but he didn't respond. Maybe my question was too stupid for him hahahah, I hope someone can answer this for me as my research have not been succesful.
Thank you all, have a good day, keep storming! (sorry if it's poorly written, English is my second language)

Thank you a lot! I also just found it right on the main page of this subforum : - If you Remand a spell which has been flashed back, it goes to exile, not its owner’s hand. Do it on your opponent’s spells, not yours.
Welp, I guess I needed a bit more research haha. Have a good day!

In competitive events, you are not allowed to look at electronic devices, however you are allowed to look at a set of notes in between matches. (Including during sideboarding) So you can print the sideboard guide if it isn't too long (not more than a page or two) and refer to that in between matches. (This is explained in detail in section 11 of the tournament rules: http://www.wizards.com/contentresources/wizards/wpn/main/documents/magic_the_gathering_tournament_rules_pdf1.pdf )
Thanks for the clarification, that's good to know! My last GP was back in 2000 (first GP in Argentina) and after that I had to quit the game for financial reasons. I'm getting back after 17 years, lot has changed!

For the fun of it and due to all the Jund I'm seeing, I've actually slotted in a couple Goblin Kings in the sideboard. An empty followed by a King can close the game out super fast. Mostly though, it's for the priceless look on their face when it happens rather then it being, you know, good.
I was thinking about using pithing needle on the side board, it can hit so many annoying hates, like relic and ooze. But I'm not sure, if isin't better than just using bolt and shattering spree.

That's what I'm talking bout!
Thing in the Ice is an interesting play - makes more sense to me than PA or S4A but I guess the downside is that it's still a creature so vs. grindy decks it gets nuked early.
I think its really cool that Jaya Ballard is basically a storm Planeswalker. She sets you up for a huge PiF turn as she upticks, and the best part is she's got the PiF herself. Her CMC isn't all that scary at 5. Even her ramp might be useful, especially since we sometimes lack the resources to flashback PiF when under disruption.

I think she may be a tad too slow, however, I can see her being played from the sideboard on grindy games. Btw, I love the art!

I'm trying to fit in 1 Noxious Revival but don't know what to cut. Already removed 2 Goblin Electromancers since:
1. I noticed that most decks are jam packed with removal
2. Sad to draw multiple discount bears when you just need card draw or selection.
3. The deck can still win without a discount bear. Instead of relying on them you now have more card selection and draw via Take Inventory and Pieces of the Puzzle.
What about going 4 pyromancer ascension? I like thought scour much better than opt for our strategy even without the PAs. But i think 16 cantrips are needed at least for it to work smoothly. Maybe even use desperate ravings again
Please do not refer to us, or any people as “stormtroopers” The term is derived from a Nazi regiment and is very hurtful to me and is an anti Semitic thing to say. Thank you.
If I read Stormtrooper I inmediately think of Star Wars. I don't use the term to refer us Storm players, but you can't ask the people over the world to change the way on how they refer to the pilots of this kind of deck, specially when they mean no harm :/
