With the return of the London Mulligan, I'm thinking about sleeving up Ad Naus again. Has there really been any development in the deck in recent months? I don't think the last few sets have given us anything, really. I don't think we have the Blue or Black cards maindeck to justify the pitch spells.

The new Jace is very strong, we play it over Labman now. Other than that, no.
Is it? It's the same total mana cost of Labman and a cantrip on a winning turn; what makes it that much better? Just that it can be played before comboing off and draw a card each turn?
I don't think Jace is that much better than Lab man, it costs 3 specific, which makes it harder to cast even when comboing (with lab+cantrip you only need UU). You could argue that it is a strong play over the course of the game, but I don't even think that's true, as preboard everyone is prepared to face pw and sometimes you don't want to mill anyone at all. I have not tried him yet, but with these ideas in mind I don't think I will.
As far as new addictions from latest sets, I was curious about horizons, but it seems that there's not much we can add (maybe the cantrip which splits onto instants, but it seems way too costly and fact or fiction, which is again too costly, just play teachings if you're considering it). Sadly there are not canopy-lands in our colors, but maybe a 2-of of the off color ones (most likely the UR) might be worth a try.
Modern Horizon's broght Force of Negation to us. Definately better than Pact of Negation to our deck, but we need to combo in the opponent's turn.
lol no, counter target spell for 0 mana > counter target non-creature spell for a blue card and 1 silly restriction
Force of Negation can be played on earlier turns requiring only a blue card or 3 mana, whereas with pact you need exactly angel's grace. I'm going to try 4 force and 2 pact in my next build.
Don't you need something like 20 other blue sources for pitch spells to be reliably cast for free? I don't think most lists run the requisite colored cards to support FoN. Yes, you can hardcast it, but don't we normally tap out to do our own thing each turn? I don't think FoN is a great card for us.

I agree with this, you are normally busy doing your own thing.
Btw has anyone tried baby teferi? It seems like a decent inclusion, as it protects the combo decently, other than providing cards in the long run and giving a little bit of time against midrange decks. Also, playing cantrips instant speed is not that bad, that's a decent plus. I might try him maindeck in place maybe of a pact and an unlife (or something else, don't really wanna cut that). Furthermore, with the rise of UW decks it might be stronger than it seems.

I like the new Teferi for the deck, cut pact an phyrexian unlife and put 2 Teferi, control decks with Dovin Veto can be very difficult for us :-(
I don't necessarily love the Sorcery speed of it, it gives your opponent a chance to tutor up any sort of interaction they think is most likely to stop us, and they get it before we get ours unless you have a cantrip to follow up with.
I'm looking for a competitive deck to play at GP Birmingham, and after testing the deck a bit online, Ad Nauseam really interests me. I just have a couple of questions about the deck:
- What cards do you usually board out? I often get worried that i'm diluting the combo deck too much when I sideboard (Also, are there any fairly recent sideboard guides online?)
Hey, I kinda like this list, it's overall a stock list. Lately the manabase has been adjusted with a few city of brass, but I also like the "old-style" manabase. I have no idea how strong can Narset be, how has she been to you? I've tried teferi maindeck and he's not where I wanted to be. Overall, I like cutting 1 pact (that's the most cuttable card as of right now), but with the bans incoming I expect UW control to be more present in meta and maybe you still want at least 3 maindeck. The side is dependent on the meta you expect, but I've been leaning towards a third discard spell lately, as a concession to control and the new combos (again I've not been a fan of teferi in this deck after some testing).
Narset of base I like because of t2 you can download(Using simian) and cut a little to mallets like Dredge or Fenix apart his -2 makes you deepen in search of some piece of the combo if you do not have it, with respect to the baneos I do not know if to remove side 1 pact and put a cage that can help me with dredge or with some variant of Hoogak and Fenix.

Following the bans I'd say there's no need for grave hate. The thing that worries me the most right now is that UW control is a bad mu now, with teferi and narset being a huge pain, and tron with the new karn kills our mana rocks. Overall I'd just say you need to hope for the best against these mu and play at least 3 toughtseize in side, which are the best answer you could have to these decks. Phoenix and Dredge are not decks that worry me, you are generally faster than them, and their lack of interaction g1 helps a lot the mu.

- Jace, wielder of mysteries or Laboratory Maniac? I'm kind of leaning towards Jace, since he has some value outside of the combo.
- When do I board in Godhead of Awe?
- Finally, do you guys have any general advice for a new Ad Nauseam player on how to play the deck effectively?
