That would depend on the rest of your sideboard, really. I like running EE with omens so I can get it up to 5 in a pinch. Anyway, it's rare to have that sideboard slot open up. I'd run hard targeted meta-specific hate in that slot. Something like an additional Colossus in a shadow heavy meta.
I got 2nd at a PPTQ a few months ago playing around 70/75 of the deck above. I didn't play out the finals since he wanted to attend the RPTQ and I couldn't due to work commitments. Incidentally he was on ponza so I didn't feel like wasting my time haha. I haven't been to any high level events recently though.
How has the Leyline treated you? I've considered adding it in as my LGS can have anywhere from 2-3 8-Rack decks a night, as well as other stuff that likes to target my face with things and the occasional Storm player.
I've been on it since September/ October last year. It's won me a fair number of games against Burn, Lantern, Shadow etc. Be wary of echoing truth against storm though. Otherwise you stick this and Anger their goblin tokens and it's good from there.
Leyline can result in free wins. I like free wins so it suits me. I don't like playing too fair and interactive.
Played two modern side events at a GP this weekend. Went 2-1 in both.
Game 1 - Goryos Grislebrand 0-2. I was really surprised to get turn 2'd by this deck. I was also not expecting blood moons.
Game 2 - Dredge 2-1.
Game 3 - GW enchantments 2-0. Opponent mulled to 5 then beast within on the layline to scapeshift for the win.
Game 1 - Soul sisters 2-0.
Game 2 - Affinity 1-2. Games 1 and 2 were clear cut wins/ losses. Game 3 was a topdeck war and he won.
Game 3 - Kiki chord 2-1.
Deck feels really good despite not playing some of the top tier like tron or GDS. Having played the tournaments: Ive cut 1 bolt for beast within and swapped Anger of the Gods for a Sweltering Suns main board. Side board I've cut 2 crumble to dust for EE and a third relic.

I've noticed a few mtgo 5-0 lists have 4x hornet nest in the side. What matchups does this significantly improve? Also- noob question- if a death's shadow deals 10 damage to a hornet nest when I block it, would I get 10 1/1's or 2 1/1's ???

It is meant to be used against aggro decks (DS included), since they might reduce the number of straight removal after sideboarding. In past I have also Angered board with my own Nest out since it wrathed my opponent and I was left with three Wasps. Also if attacking Death's Shadow is 10/10 and you block it with the Nest there is no choice for your opponent other than deal 10 damage to the Nest and then you get your angry bee army of ten tokens.
I'd like to share some specific questions with you:
- You have Search for Tomorrow and a fetchland starting hand. Let's say you neither have Scapeshift, Primeval Titan or Summoner's Pact in hand.
Against which decks will you fetch for a Forest ?
Against which decks will you fetch for a Stomping Ground ?
For the following 2 questions, let's assume we are playing Larry Li's decklist (GP Oklahoma winner).
- In addition of Control decks (UW, Jeskai), against wich decks will you side in Chandra, Torch of Defiance ?
Turn 1, it depends a little bit on the matchup but most of the time I'd get the forest. There is enough ramp/ fixing in the deck to sort your colours, it makes you more bloodmoon proof and 9/10 times it wont matter when you scapeshift for the win.
Chandra I cant comment on as I dont run it. VS slaughter games, you could but there are a few good avenues of attack in our deck so I wouldn't worry all that much. Board in relics to exile their yard then you can either smash with titan or scapeshift as normal.

From my games, I'm not sure lanturn is going to be a good matchup for us (and I haven't checked if its on the first page matchup section). The combination of mainboard bridge with witchbane orbs and laylines in the side makes enchantment/ artifact removal in game 2 key. If you have chalices they are really worth bringing to set on 1 as is EE.

Are we good vs Jace? Cause my Abzan won't cut it. Will Titanshift do it? Or I will have to join and pay the dark side...
I think so. We have a turn 4 Goldfish kill. At worst, we can use a Lightning Bolt and R to trade for 2 cards, selection, and 2UU. But then again, we aren't necessarily super good against some Control decks, UW notably IMO.

There is proof that the card is powerful, but it wouldn't do for Titanshift what it does for Jund/midrange. Cascading into a ramp spell from a 3/2 hasty body is only slightly more effective than casting another ramp spell, while taking up two slots in the mainboard. In most cases, just casting another cheaper ramp spell or two would be more beneficial.
Ok, there are some matchups you want to sideout big spells like Primeval Titan or Scapeshift.
My problem is that most of the time, I can't figure which of those 2 cards is more valuable to sideout.
There are some obvious answer to that question, for example if you face Hatebear, it will be better to side out 1 or 2 Scapeshift.
But how do you proceed vs Burn, Affinity, Hollow One, Humans, Dredge... ?
Thanks to explain your choices.
Those matchups are what I face often at my fnm. Though I have never actually sided out Primeval Titan or Scapeshift. I believe both cards are too valuable to take out, even against something like Hate Bears, because they will win the game if they go unanswered. The archetypes you listed are all aggro, so if you have any large card tech in your mainboard (such as Hour of Promise or Chandra, Torch of Defiance), boarding it out for the cards you want is better since in general, Scapeshift or Primeval Titan will have more impact to winning the game, even if the opponent's goal is to stop one or both of those cards. The same is true if you mainboard Relic of Progenitus.
Transformative sideboarding is another thing altogether. If your goal is to win without Valakut, it is best to side out the two big finishers.
I'd have to examine your list to give you a more thorough guide to sideboarding. But what I side in versus the matchups you listed is as follows:
Any answer for my last post guys ?
Adding new questions:
How would you adapt the list in order to improve our matchup vs Bogles or Hollow One ?
I feel like Tireless Tracker is not valuable anymore to take a slot in sideboard, since we already have good matchup vs Midrange/Control.
But it does rock vs Lantern so...
If you are planning to face these two decks a lot, there are some simple changes that will help immensely. Running all four copies of Lightning Bolt will help versus Hollow One in game one because your goal is to slow them down, and siding in higher damage spells like Roast will help in that matchup as well. If you splash white or black, playing cards like Path to Exile, Condemn or Terminate match up real well against their large CMC creatures.

Beat three 3 shadow decks (2 grixis 1 5 colour). Lost to living end, amulet and mardu pyromancer.
May need to reconfigure my 75 a bit. Can't be beating up on tier1 while being smacked around by tier2 decks

Bogles is a very interesting matchup. It is certainly a race game one, and having Sakura-Tribe Elder is a key piece to winning. But sideboard cards that really work in this matchup are cards that destroy enchantments or ALL creatures. :: Like Back to Nature, Seal of Primordium, Nature's Claim, Natural State, etc; and Anger of the Gods, Wrath of God, Damnation, Hour of Devistation, or Sweltering Suns. My favorite is Back to Nature, because it gets rid of all enchantments on the battlefield, including Leyline of Sanctity, if they have it in play, and it is an instant.
