For those playing a Collected Company List... I did have one suggestion for the sideboard (as they appear to be a little "toolbox-esq"...it may be worth it to play a 1-of Eldritch Evolution.
I have been brewing/playing with Eldritch Evolution in my "fun time" and it really is quite powerful. Since you are already playing 3 colors; it can be worth it if you run things like Kataki, Thalia, The new Hexproof Angel, Magus of the Moon, Acidic Slime, Reclamation Sage, Phyrexian Revoker, etc.. It is just another way to potentially get to you 1-of's and hate creatures while taking advantage of cards like Strangleroot Geist, Wistful Selkie, Kitchen Finks, and others that already net you a card prior to being sacrificed.
Mardu Nahiri (with Kiki Combo inside)
2-0 pretty easy win, because i'm much faster
Bogles
1-2 First game was close but i did it. the next 2 games he just played very fast the Aura with "protection from creatures". No deathtouch action with the hornet queen.
Jescai Control
1-1-1 very long Games. He could even managed Carnage Tyrant with Supreme Verdict. A Player with Pro-points and even playing nothing but control. He didn't doing any mistakes.
Mardu Shadow pyromancer i guess
0-2 He is playing molten rain Mainboard! This was a feeling like , he build the ultimate anti Devotion Deck. Pretty Akward. He even play Dreadbore against my Planeswalker.
i must really configure my Deck against this heavy Control Meta at my Local-Meta. That isn't funny any more.
@Nonamealreadytaken
Thank you for your reponse. I'm really happy that i did see the spirit. In the past i did play Coco Allies and sometimes Bant Spirits, too. I know how powerful Collected Company can be. And pretty funny to see how Butakov get this idea.
Mutiple ways to win and play lines are good signs. Can't wait to make my own opinion.
@CurdBros
I think you can get that Smoothie in StarBucks in the US. probably in Carlifornia. Sadly, no chances for me to buy it in Europe.
And no problem. The real life have always priority. Much good fortune and health for your family members!
@maxivz
ok, i'm obviously not fulgence. But i will tried some answers. In the "value game mode", it is pretty hard for a control player, because value are your threats and after a time a control player didn't had enough answers anymore. There is a good reason, why Controlplayer need cards like Opt and Serum Visions. They had pretty ugly cards like Supreme Verdict, but you can overrun, even without to overextend with 28 creatures Mainboard.
Hornet Queen is always nice in devotion , but not necessary in Company Devotion. you need your creatures 3 drop (or less) counter as high as possible to get the maximum from Collected Company. You just only need Craterhoof to end the Game.
* EDIT * Got rid of the "variable walker" and am just playing a 4th copy of Oath of Nissa. This allows me to play some other non-green walkers, it just an amazing card; and doesn't dilute the main.
As many know, I have had an affinity for Walker decks. I think they fit Devotion well (give us an ability to use our mana without being a "pure" mana deck), they give us the ability to have "answers" in the main, and they quickly overwhelm an opponent. The majority of my Walker decks are a little more controlling in their nature (i.e. win based on burying the opponent in card advantage while removing their important tools) but all have the ability to overrun when need be. Planeswalkers provide effective card advantage and effective life gain while applying pressure.
I know many on here are not fans of Genesis Hydra; but I have seen a LOT of control lately...and it is stellar against control (even if countered I still get a Walker out of it). I have seriously considered going to a full set main; but right now the fourth is in the board.
The Doubling Season is just another win-con. It's strong with Walkers, Genesis Hydra, and Walking Ballista (and a few card choices in the board).
I will finalize the variable walker and outline the board choices after more testing.
Genesis Hydra is the TRUTH. Don't listen to the haters
Haha! So true
I’m working on getting a few Nissa, Voice of Zendikar in there as well as one copy of a high end Walker (Ajani, Elspeth, Nicol Bolas, Ugin, etc.). Will take some testing and balance.
How is everyone else doing with the deck? I know there were more Stompy-style decks being played and I would LOVE to hear about the Company decks for those trying them.
I do think Ravnica will be good for us (just given the flavor of the plane)...so we have a bright Green future ahead!
Is battlebond the sequel to Dominaria? The new green mythic Dryad looks pretty sweet.

Been playtesting with Khalni Hydra, and discovered that it's a bomb and almost like an Affinity like Broodstar. The build of my deck has 4 Overgrown Battlement and 2 Sylvan Caryatid, so I get to stick 2 extra creatures that my opponent does not want to waste their Fatal Push on or waste a Lighting Bolt, since Spike players tend to keep at least 2 Bolts until they get you down to 6 after whatever creature they have beats face to you. Playing 2 X Prowling Serpopard ensures that your Khalni Hydra does not get Mana Leaked or Remanded. The key here being, a 4th turn Devotion for 8 sticking on the board and enabling a huge Genesis Wave or a Primalcrux follow up for Big Stompy finish. If you have an Aspect of Hydra in hand when you successfully resolve a Khalni Hydra, attacking with a Burning Tree Emissary or Wistful Selkie brings them down to 2 or 1.
The card may be so underrated because players overlook the Chroma devotion CMC reduction when one has dorks in the battlefield. If you play Serpopard you get around anything getting countered and I play 2, thinking of going a full playset. When it sticks and you still have bombs like Primalcrux or Primeval Titan or Ruric Thar the Unbowed in hand, you can't lose.
I for one think the use of planeswalkers like Garruk Wildspeaker slow down the deck and the only reason for using the Garruk untapper is to flood mana for a huge Walking Ballista, but otherwise, the 4th turn Garruk disallows a fattie for beatface.
I know! That Dryad is amazing..they just need to start printing some of those designs in a Standard-legal set (or hey...start making new cards just for Modern in the future Modern Masters sets...no one would mind )

I always thought it would be a fun idea to cast Genesis Hydra into Akroma’s Memorial
Yeah, you’re right about the “fixing”...it just adds another layer of “fixing” in Walker decks (or any deck for that matter) if you don’t already have it with the Lands, Utopia Sprawl, Birds, or Oath of Nissa. In your case, between Cascading Cataracts and Hydra; you can “cast” pretty much any creature out there.
I play in a meta with multiple control players too...and it always breaks their back when they counter the Hydra and you still get a Karn,Vraska, Terferi, etc. out of it
I am running abrade, blood moon and firespour in the sideboard. They have been pretty good against humans
Okay. Im doing 1 abrade, 2 firespouts, 2 moons and 1 Blasphemous act. I think this will work along with 2 huntmasters maindeck. I just wasnt sure what people were running at this time for it
For those running the nykthos/land hate hybrid package, what does everyone think about a slight splash of white for Leyline of Sanctity, ravenous trap, and pithing needle for a combo sideboard???
Hey all, been following this thread but haven't made any posts yet, wanting to share a version of the deck I recently made and went 4-2 (5 person round robin with a tiebreaker) at my FNM. I was thinking on how to make an aggressive devotion deck that wasn't just stompy and liked using the tons of mana produced by Nykthos and Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl and wanted to fit this around a package that uses 4 Steel Leaf Champion and Bloodbraid Elf. I was originally trying to awkwardly fit them into the regular devotion list but it wasn't working. Then I saw Fulgence's Company Devotion list and took some inspiration from that to come up with mine.
Match 1 - 8 Rack
Was not prepared for this at all. The person playing did not normally come to our store, but there was someone who did play 8 Rack before so I knew the deck. If I was expecting this I would've packed some Obstinate Baloth. They just always had an answer to my creatures.
Lost 0-2
Match 2 - Goblins
Game 1 I lost due to insane pressure with a Goblin Grenade for exact lethal. Boarded in all the life gain I had in Scavenging Ooze and Thragtusk and some removal with Lightning Bolt. Managed to stabilize the last 2 games with Thrag and Primal Command + Eternal Witness loops gaining life instead of bouncing a permanent.
Won 2-1
Match 3 - Bye
We had 5 people so 1 person got a bye every round.
Match 4 - Scapeshift
Probably the matchup that I know the least of what to do and expect to just randomly die to Scapeshift. My only real hope was out racing him since I don't have Blood Moon, Magus of the Moon, or Blood Sun. Game 1 lost due to falling behind. Games 2 and 3 I managed to stick threats he couldn't answer with Sweltering Suns and managed to Bloodbraid Elf on turn 2 in one game. I think in one of the games he was 1 or 2 lands away from winning and they never came.
Won 2-1
Match 5 - Grixis Control
These games were excruciatingly slow. But my deck was able to grind it out, constantly pulling out threats that needed to be answered, except for the times I drew Arbor Elf and Utopia Sprawl in the late game. 1 game they managed to stablize at 2 health then overwhelmed me with Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Liliana of the Veil value. Other games I managed to finish it out by sticking 1 or 2 Steel Leaf Champion and swinging in and finishing it out with Bloodbraid Elf when they inevitable died.
Won 2-1
Tiebreaker - Scapeshift
Same deal, just have to try to outrace him. But I kept hands that were just too slow and eventually lost either to Scapeshift or
just Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle damage without it.
Lost 0-2
Overall I was pretty happy with how the deck performed. I do think I want to go a little closer to Fulgence's list and think more Knight of the Reliquary is what the deck wants, the games that I played her she did work, and possibly thinking of cutting down to 2 Bloodbraid Elf. I'm worried about the Eldrazi Tron and Counters Company matchups as those are also decks that see play in my store. I'm open to any recommendations or comments on this.
Got a horrible Tourney. 0-6 . Lost 3x against Combo (2xdevoted Druid , 1x Storm) , 1x Ponza ...ok, bad Matchups. 1x Affinity and Bant Merfolk with bad luck 1-2. Time to switch to a another version. Must to be really fast.

Don't worry , i just played the Version from Anthony S. ( that is a classic list with a bit tool boxing). 1. I'm unexperiecend with this version 2. Not so good against hard control or combo's. The Deck is still good, but for me in my Meta not the right choice.
Thanks for the Sideboard Guide and the Insight. it will be a good using for me for the future. Maybe the Fiend Hunter is a good choice as a (pseudo)removal. and let your creature counter high enough for other good tools. With the big downside that it isn't Instant .
edit sideboard thoughts: harsh mentor is a real creative way to stop the infinite Mana from devoted druid. But it hit the Knight ability, too.
Against Affinity it is doing not very much. The Affinity player equip cthe ost from the plants with a smile by only 2 Damage. Eidolon of the Great Revel is very good against storm, but not so good against devoted druid. Chord, into Vizier into Dusk Recruiter into a very big Ballista. thats only 4 Life into Win. That is pretty okay.
a classic from a another list: Kozilek's Return . It kills against Affinity even the Etched Champion and with the instant speed good against all devoted druid combos.
At least there isn't a good card against all the decks. ok maybe Beast Within is possible way, if you hit something unexpected or if you want really really disrupt your enemy in his Combo.
Mention Sideboard and Devotion: Wheel of Sun and Moon. Graveyard Hate against storm and 2 Devotion.
My funniest move against death shadow is - Primal command. 7 Life for the Opponent --> bye bye Death Shadow

The 3 Llanowar Elves should be Birds of Paradise but I don't have any yet. And a 4th Windswept Heath and 2nd Temple Garden didn't arrive on time. I had a lot of fun playing this deck, it has quite a few explosive turns and really strong turn 2 plays: Arbor Elf and Utopia sprawl allows Bloodbraid Elf or Collected Company on 2, Arbor Elf or Llanowar Elves on 1 with Burning-Tree Emissary and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx on 2 lets you cast a Steel Leaf Champion as well. I didn't really spend a lot of time on the sideboard and kind of just used the sideboard I had been using for regular green devotion except for the 2 Loxodon Smiter.
