Fellow Amuleteers, has anyone ever tried Nissa,. Steward of Elements? It seems to fit the deck quite well. The scry helps when casted early for x 1 or 2; a late topdeck can give you 10 extra damage out of nowhere, if cast just after a titan is Nice too.
For those interested in alt win cons and trying Zacama and Hive Mind again and such... What about running Mindslaver lock? Academy ruins does a lot for our artifacts and is easy to get, mindslaver can be picked up off stirrings, unlike Hive Mind, and never becomes a dead card by happenstance, which sometimes happens with hive mind.
I haven't seen any talk on the new GW knight but maybe I didn't look back far enough. That's in for sure.
Oh, and with people hating on explore, I've replaced them with an extra scryland, utility land, and slaughter pact. I'm also curious about replacing them with Wayward Swordtooth since it's a land player and also a decent beat stick.
For a control matchup? I think they're reasonably equal, but Carnage Tyrant leads for me. It comes down a turn sooner and is much harder to chump. Any big "haha screw you control!" card we bring in is one we have to accept will possibly just be Terminus'd away, so I think Carnage Tyrant is the pick right now.
I personally don't run either in my sideboard, but I might be the weird one.

Well, I can saw a woman in two, but you won't wanna look in the box when I'm through.

My problem is that Im not trying to spend $20 on that. Spending $20 on a card like this feels bad

More or less exactly why I'm not trying Zacama, by the by. Jam what you've got.

I personally don't think either Carnage Tyrant nor Zacama, Primal Calamity are necessary, but I want to point out that a close friend of mine has been testing it online. He said that Zacama is the truth. I used to doubt what he says sometimes because he didn't always take things seriously and he trolled a lot, but he was spot on what he said about Jeskai and UW recently. (more spot on than myself, mostly because I didn't do the homework)
Still a bit wary...

Hey guys, I just wanted to share a suggestion for the deck.
As you are probably all aware, there's a lot of scenarios where you only get to make 4-5 mana with azusa and amulet in play.
So I was looking for a creature to put into the deck to fill that gap when you need to spend that mana to survive or for other reasons.
I came upon Samut, voice of dissent. A card search revealed this card hasn't been discussed in this forum yet.
I think this card can be great in amulet for multiple reasons:
It gives us a very good 5 drop slot that's completely empty in this deck.
it's green color identity and flash allow it to be pacted and played at instant speed.
It can absolutely annihilate aggro decks. flash him in as a blocker, eat a dude with double strike and swing for 6+ on the return, while basically being immune to bolt.
he's good against bloodmoon with his casting cost.
he can be great against control e.g. in response to a vendilion clique or tapout.
and maybe the most important thing: he can give our titans haste e.g. in case our slayers stronghold gets destroyed, or we have 1 mana floating with a titan trigger and pact in hand, so instead of searching for slayers and boros, we can search for 2 karoos, cast this and get in for a 16 dmg instead of 8 (play samut, titan and himself haste, search for slayers on the titan trigger, give samut +2 so he double strikes for 10)
would be very insterested to hear your opinion on this. testing this out on MTGO right now.
Dodging Push with a 5 drop is a very good point!
So I found 2 more 5-drops: Sigarda, host of herons and thragtusk
I think I will probably replace hornet queen with a combination of these three, with one in the mainboard and one in the sideboard.
I have been very unimpressed with queen mainboard, because I basically always want a titan over her, but when I do need her, I need her earlier, so a thragtusk or Samut would just be better.
MTGO Only
Expect to time out while getting used to the play patterns. Taking the time to think out your decisions will be more valuable in the long run than rushing, though it might burn through tix.
If you play on MTGO, be aware that Amulet of Vigor, Vesuva, and Cavern of Souls are all bugged.
Amulet: If you have two copies of Amulet out, MTGO will try to automatically place all of the untap triggers if nothing else is left to be placed on the stack. You can avoid this by having any other trigger (such as a bounce) be the last trigger you place on the stack. This bug will stop you from getting to activate Slayer’s Stronghold an extra time if you are not careful, which can cost you games.
Cavern: You must name the first creature type on a card. This is currently not relevant, but lists sometimes play Tireless Tracker, which sometimes makes Scout the correct name in real life but not online.
Vesuva: Still works by the pre-Rivals rules. This would be extremely advantageous except you will get your account suspended if you abuse this… so you might want to avoid that.
I'm interested in how much more consistent the 3 Adventurous Impulse has made the deck. It seems to me to make things a little more smooth just looking at a lisy but I'm interested in trying it out!
By the way, does anyone have an Amulet discord that I might be able to join? Would like to talk more about the deck and learn as much as possible. Aside from @daviusminimus' awesome stream!
None of the 3 decks that top 32'd the SCG open this weekend had Zacama in them. Understandable for the hive mind one, but the other two was interesting. Is the card just not well positioned?
Hard to say. The primary plan against Dredge has always been racing, but Zacama acivations kill all their creatures and the life gain potentially puts you out of Conflagrate and/or Bloodghast haste range.

Creature - Dryad Knight
When ~ etb choose one:
is white just too scarce in this deck to play it? do we just not care about the other modes?
Article is out of date. They've made some changes now and some of those bugs are fixed.
This deck is still really strong.
