4 main board revokers? I had 2 in the side and never found myself with enough targets that warranted boarding him in.
I find that I keep them in post-board more often than not. Hits Planeswalkers, mana dorks and other utility creatures, almost everything you care about against Affinity...
Here is a list of Revoker targets for a few common matchups:
Tron
Chromatic Star, Chromatic Sphere, Expedition Map, Karn Liberated, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Oblivion Stone.
Eldrazi Tron
Spellskite, Expedition Map, Mindstone, Relic of Progenitus.
Souls Sister
Martyr of Sands, Kami of False Hopes, Weathered Wayfarer.
Hatebear & Death And Taxes
Qasali Pridemage, Spellskite, Aether Vial, Noble Hierarch, Kytheon, Hero of Akroas, Ratchet Bomb/Engineered Explosives, Mangara, Eldrazi Displacer, various Swords of X and Y.
Lantern Control
Spellskite, Codex Shredder, Ghirapur Aether Grid, Ghoul Caller's Bell, Lantern of Insight, Mox Opal.
Coco & Kiki Chord
Bird of Paradise, Kiki, Breaker of Mirrors, Knight of Reliquary , Pia and Kiran Nalaar, Spike Feeder, Viscera Seer/Valroz/Cartel Arisotcrat, Wall of Roots.
Question about using Dark Confidant in WB versions. For those playing Bob, I am looking to understand your experiences playing the card because it seems such a high risk to reward and therefore almost counter-intuitive for the deck, given that we have so many 3- and 4-drop cards and not much to compensate with lifegain. How often has Bob killed you in games? Do you find you side him out in a lot of match-ups? How has he won you games? Thus far, I have only played about a dozen or so matches. I have seen Bob (I have been playing 2 in the deck) in just a few games, and usually late, and he has been almost instantly removed. The one time he wasn't removed I effectively bolted myself with a 3-drop draw next turn and then got hit for 4 more with TKS....

I find Bob to be fantastic and have considered going up to 3 generally every time he sticks I win unless I was already to far behind, and even sometimes when behind he can catch you up, generally only board him out in matches where you would expect to such as burn, affinity, etc...
I've been trying out a 2-of Emancipation Angel, -1 Phyrexian Revoker and -1 Kor Skyfisher from the list I posted earlier on this page. It has the same ability as Kor Skyfisher, but with a 3/3 body instead of a 2/3. I went for the 3CMC beacuse that's where vial wants to be.
Same tricks as Kor Skyfisher, so lots of fun to be had. Plus, that makes twelve 3-power flyers that the opponent needs to deal with.
For WB Eldarzi Taxes version I am interested int he comments above (for mono-W) about using Phyrexian Revoker. Anyone trying it out in WB version in flex spot (instead of say Bob, Splicer, Mirran Crusader, Thraben Inspector, etc)?

It gets in to fix one of the issues of the deck; its lack of card drawing. I've been playing about a year with it and I've liked it. It really doesn't have any sinergy with the deck or the taxing plan but it's still a powerful card on its own. I don't think it's a mandatory card on the deck and could be replaced with Copter, Revoker, Thraben Inspector or more copies of Blade Splicer. It depends on personal like or metagame prediction I guess. I think currently only find myself sideboarding it out against Burn. In basically any other matchup it turns out to be a great way to dig deeper into your deck and find your sideboard cards. If I was gonna try any of this options to replace it I think I would go with Copter, although I don't like having nombo cards with Stony Silence and/or affected by Thalia.
Regarding the risk of revealing high CMC cards there's only one answer for it: "Greatness, at any cost"
Asylum Visitor can be a less painful way to draw cards. Unfortunately, the effect is symmetrical. Not having to reveal the card also makes Vial tricks you might have available unknown to the opponent. It's also a 3/1 rather than a 2/1. It's "easy" enough to have no cards in hand at upkeep if you have an active Vial.

The effect is NOT symmetrical: if your opponent does not have a card in hand during his upkeep, YOU get to draw.
That's a great idea! I'll be experimenting on replacing my playset of Thraben Inspectors with those. Managed to sneak in a couple of draws against Esper Control. Having a full playset really adds consistency.
On Mono White Eldrazi & Taxes,
I'm tinkering with the following list. Shefet Dunes really smooth out the manabase for colorless requirements. I'm unsure if I'm using the flex slots in the most efficient way, specially the two drop slot.
I would replace Reality Smasher with Blade Splicer. Reality Smasher is a great card, but Splicer is a very easy card to abuse with Displacer. Maybe cut one Displacer and one Selfless Spirit for a couple of Restoration Angel? Not sure if that is correct, but I love Resto.
Another option instead of Bob is glint-sleeve siphoner. The menace is pretty interesting, and you can flicker it with Displacer to get the energy you need if you aren't attacking.
I've been debating running it for some time now, but my favorite option in that slot is actually Smuggler's Copter. It is a bit more risky because you need a creature to crew but it makes your small creatures so much better, and the looting is invaluable at times.
- only 22 lands
- 2x Mindcensor, Copter, and Finks in the main
- 1-of Big Thalia in the main
- 4x Kor Firewalker in the side
- Sword of Light and Shadow and Akroma, Angel of Fury (!) as one-ofs in the side
- no Mirran Crusader in the 75
I have to say that I'm a fan. Akroma is a little far out there, but she's surely a nod to UW Control.

akroma, angel of fury? That is either super ballsy or just terrible. His literal only way to get it in play is vialing up to 8.
I like the mindcensors and split on baby/big Thalias though.

Not quite - if you play it as a morphed creature then flicker it (with one of 6 options in that build - 4 Flickerwisp or 2 Restos) it comes back on to the battlefield face up.
I think it looks pretty sweet, but in that kind of build I'd be more inclined to use Eldrazi Displacer instead of say Copters. That said, it *is* in the sideboard so obviously just a 'fun of' and not a major wincon / focus of the deck.
Man, this guy is presenting one heck of a clock in the air; especially with that Akroma!
I'm not sure exactly what meta he was gunning for, but I really like reviving that old 2013-2014 Angel tech with Copter. Dump her when she's a dead card, or dig for her when you need that 6/6 trample flying clock, nice.
Ran eldrazi and taxes again, only 8 showed up app 3 rounds weren't t 2-0-1 beat scapeshift and grixis thopter sword with scarab God then drew for the fatal push. Similar deck to last week without smasher adding second mindcensor main and+1 Thalia effect(-1 Thalia, +2 wingnare and adding third selfless spirit to side in mindcensor spot. Also took out sanitarium for basic waste.
Akrona, angel of fury used to be popular tech. But it loses a lot of power when opponent knows what your morph is lol. Just another card like stonecloaker and Mangara that have fallen out of favor with more powerful and consistent options.
So sleeved up mono white for the first time ever. Ended up 3-1 at fnm tonight.
Match 1 eldrazi tron 1-0
Ghost quarter is king. 3 ghost quarters and a leonin kept him off tron. He didn't see a lot of action. Game 2 I saw no ghost quarters but he couldn't find tron through double arbiter.
Matcu 2 uw control 1-1
Game one I went vial into Thalia into arbiter/inspector. Great curve out i left vial on 2 and flashed in spirit in response to verdict turn 4. Scooped at that point.
Game 2 I kept a mana light hand with 2 aether vial. Turn 2 stony made sure I didn't have a lot of use for them. Onto game 3 due to not seeing another land
Game 3 I played 3 mutavaults just to try em out. And they did all the work in this match. But a Gideon jura and his +2 quickly allowed him to stabilize and find the removal he needed. Was a close game
Match 3 8 rack 2-1
This was another match where mutavault did work. He managed to stabilize and get the rack down but the 2 mutavaults I managed to keep on the field did the heavy lifting
Game 2 there's something to be said with a perfect curve and bouncing thraben inspectors. He didn't have the parts he needed to deal with me.
Match 4 junk 3-1
T1 vial and keeping him off black mana did the work here. Ghost quarter plus arbiter does such good work.
Game 2 was pretty Grindy but again my mutavaults were the real mvp. He found a way to stabilize the board but mutavaults kept crashing in till I could dusk//dawn to get all my creatures back he's killed. He scooped em up once he went into top deck mode after that.
All in all I was really surprised with how well the mutavaults performed. I think I'll be keeping them around. I cut 2 terramorphic expanse for them but I was pleasantly surprised. Has anyone else had much luck with then?
