Quote from Stompo20 »Hey guys is anyone still playing this deck ? I feel like it is well positioned in this meta but I can't find 60 cards that satisfie me. Have anyone find a list that works ?
Quote from Bluedustinman »I have been testing this deck a lot on xmage. Played at least 50 matches. Had a ton of success. I dropped the matter reshapers for Eldrazi obligators. I found that with 2 temples and another land the 3/1 with haste taking their creature for a turn is really good. Also turn two 3/1 with haste has been better than matter reshaper. It also makes siding better because I feel I pull my talismans a lot game 2-3 which means less targets for reshaper. I have also been using a 1 of batterskull. Also I notice no lists run a copy of wastes. Against blood moon you can't cast anything very much without a talisman with no wastes.
Would love to know of anyone else is using or has tried Eldrazi obligator.
Quote from Underused Cards »I hope others have been working on this deck. And I been finding the ramp with the Talisman's to be lacking. I took a Magus of the Candelabra as my ramp. Now the deck seems to be as fast as Bant Eldrazi, but without all the clutter and it helps with added land hate. It's also really cool to have turn 2 TKS and turn 3 Smasher. I think I may need to use Endbringer or Mimics over Endless ones, but I think it's a start. And nothing stops a Garruk Ultimate with Eldrazi's.
I also think Beast Within has a lot of merit in the deck as you can potentially turn 2 Beast Within and completely wreck their landbase. And the guys you have are generally bigger than the 3/3 they get, so it's of minor inconvenience.

Quote from Polymorph »Is there a reason to not run birds of paradise?
It's a janky topdeck for sure, but a T1 Bird into Eldrazi T2 seems pretty strong to me.

Reality Smasher and Eldrazi Obligator are great at flying in and taking out a Jace and adding in Bloodbraid Elf would probably only make that easier. The deck does seem quire well rounded with all of the creatures being big enough to take out most other creatures in the format. Eldrazi Obligator can steal opposing Death's Shadows or Primeval Titans that we can't attack through, and Endbringer is a swiss army knife of reach paired with Lightning Bolt or a card advantage engine. You still get the same possibility of a Turn 2 Thought-Knot Seer as Bant Eldrazi, and by not playing sweepers in the main you keep the dorks around. The deck does seem very well positioned against Affinity, Humans, Burn, and all of the other low to the ground linear aggro decks. Cavern of Souls helps against Blue decks, so it's only the combo or big mana decks that look to be a real problem. Where Bant Eldrazi has the grinding power with Eldrazi Displacer and Drowner of Hope, this deck has a faster clock. A rough draft jamming in BBE could look like this:

BBE isn't as powerful as in other decks like Jund, but it could really add to the aggro plan by hitting a Bolt or Obligator.

This list looks very strange.
Why would an Eldrazi deck play Blood Moon (even in the SB) ? This is just bad deckbuilding.
Maindeck Relic also looks very mediocre here in a list without processors or Eternal Scourge, it can probably be Goyf instead.
Hazoret seems pretty redundant in a deck that has Reality Smasher, it can probably be replaced by a removal spell like maindeck Explosives/Dismember or maybe Smuggler's Copter as an evasive threat/looter.
Quote from Torpf »Glad to see interest for the deck is picking up again. I'll make a primer for it in the coming weeks since it will probably see some play now.
EDIT: Well it made top8 at GP Lyon. Looks like I should really make that primer now.... and I probably should have never removed it from Developing Competitive
Quote from D90Dennis14 »I wonder why the deck isn't playing Talisman of Impulse (or more Mind Stone) over the mana dorks to be less vulnerable against early removal spells.
