WOW! Congrats for your awesome result!
Now I wanna try it out myself...
I was just thinking of Lead the Stampede for possible role similar to Gather the Pack.
I do see the upside of GtP, but do you think it would have worked in any of your game?
EDIT:
Oh, Lead the Stampede is getting a reprint! (was thinking why it doesn't show its card image)

So with concerns to Gather the Pack VS Lead the Stampede, this is one key difference with the cards that makes Gather a little bit better. It's the fact that the cards you don't put in your hand go to the graveyard. This key difference lets you toss Vengevines into the yard with Gather, while grabbing 2 creatures to reanimate them.
With Lead, you'll need to put any Vengevines you see in your hand, and hope you get discard to pitch them as well, which is a bit of a downside.

Got some games in over the last few days with the vengeful one deck, using Skitzafreaks most recently posted list. Here's the results from what I remember yesterday and what I've played today (typing it up as I'm playing it) sorry for no video but i realized the laptop I'm using gives it unusable quality.
Mono b zombies
lost g1 to a mulligan and less than mediocre draws, plus him getting a huge board. at the beginning of game 2 I intimidated him with my amazingness into conceding. or maybe it was that he had stuff to do irl.
Claim to Fame burn:
nothing really of note here. Won in 2, through a bolt he kept up defensively. Didnt seem like a terribly bad matchup, though I admit getting stomped by boros burn in a league.
Soul Sisters
game 1, opponent went down to 4 real quick, but ended up slowly climbing back to the 10 range. Thankfully, Temur Battle Rage and Become Immense get through small blockers like nothing, and I won the game.
game 2, I cast a turn 1 hollow one, with a second one in hand, and he conceded with the first one on the stack. Guess a 0 mana 4/4 is too good??
eTron
game 1 was griiindy. ended the game on a play getting back all 4 vengevines with a bushwhacker. Game 2 I board in all the artifact hate, and leave blood moon in (planning to take it in on the draw). he goes grafdigger's cage t1, t2 relic, t4 cage after I destroyed both the other ones. le sigh, end up conceding after I revealed a reality smasher on top of his lib.
game 3 was a bit grindy, but we pulled it out. it started off rather slow, but I ended up making an awful value play that won me the game. my hand was street wraith x2, burning tree emissary, lightning axe, bloodstained mire, and hollow one. cycle both wraiths to get Temur battle rage and a vengevine. Not sure exactly how optimal it was at the time, but I knew I had to get my vine out that turn, or he would crack relic and I would cry. so I play BTE, lgihtning axe it, discarding vine. Cast hollow one for free, recur vine. use the floating green mana, and cracking mire to play temur battle rage on vine, getting in for 8. ended up winning a few turns later by holding creatures in my hand to recur vine again, after destroying his relic, and attackign for exactsies the turn after.
faieries variant???
Not quite sure what this guy was playing, it seemed like a very budget build, and he seemed new to mtgo. nice enough guy, won game 1 with a combination of BTE/bushwhacker and become immense. game 2 i managed to swing in for 10 on turn 2 by ruccuring 2 vines. Hey vapor snagged both, i laughed, cast the faithless looting in my hand. next turn mtgo skipped my turn?? whatever, i drew the vengevine, and going BTE into vine recurred the other 2, even though he mana leaked the vine I cast? I wasnt complaining, his dragons claw bought him a turn but TBR/Immense combo is a great finisher.
I love this deck, and assuming the list stays relatively stagnant over the next couple weeks I could see myself figuring out a bit of a SB and matchup guide.
The new hate land feels really good if you dont want to run loam with ghost quarter. I've always struggled with losing a land drop but with this one you get your land back and its only 2 to activate do you can stop tron before they get it online.
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.

So went to a weekly Modern event last night, ended up going 3-1 overall. This brings my current record in paper with the deck to 8-1.
I played against Affinity, Titanshift, RW Norin Sisters, and Dredge.
My loss was to Dredge, and honestly the games we played were really close.
Game 3 we both kept 1 lands with Neonates and Faithless Looting, with us only needed 1 land to make our hand super explosive. Unfortunately I didn't get the 2nd land I needed, my opponent did, and he proceeded to dredge about half of his deck by the end of turn 2. Oh well.
Still really enjoying how this deck has been playing.

I've been goldfish testing with grisly salvage rather than gather the pack and the option to grab a land or creature has been relevant more than a few times.
Does anyone have a current BR version of the hollow one deck they are running? This is my current list. I'll be in a tournament this week and can't wait to update the progress.

I built your deck last week Wednesday after getting killed at modern playing against ETRON, BLUETRON & Burn.. I was just tired of always seeming to play worse decks so i decided to build your red/green version... I love it. ive been playing it all week play-testing it against ppl and goldfishing it. It really takes about 100 plays to know the right answer for each situation. Like which hands to mulligan, When do you cast Gather the Pack, Which creatures do you take, Do you go for the nut draw with F.Looting but no street wraith in hand, do you keep 2 hollow ones in your opening, etc.
I cant wait to explode tomorrow at modern.
Also Have you tested going to 17 lands instead of 18?

2 Got him to 2 on the reckless bushwacker plan - Gather the pack twice to get some vines in the graveyard and had two one drops for next turn to get vines back (since he had 2 spell quellers out) - Rest in Peace on his turn (he was holding it till he saw a Vine for Lulz) - RIP game
Man i feel like i had just bad luck... three other tron players out there and i didn't get a chance to play them, 2 other burns and 1 other elf... of the 6 games i lost though i drew 9, 10, 11 & 9 lands...
So I had a great night playing shadowvine and finished 2nd with a 3-1 record tonight. My only loss was to a rally combo deck where my opponent played perfectly and he won the tournament. I did beat naya burn, E Tron and WG Elves. Below is a list of what I played and the games.
Shadow vine
Creatures
4 Vengevine
4 hollow one
4 insolent neonate
4 grave crawler
3 gurmag angler
4 street wraith
4 death shadow
3 flame wake Phoenix
Sideboard
2 blood moon
4 leyline of the void
1 big game hunter
1 ancient grudge
1 shattering spree
3 collected brutality
2 grim lavamancer
1 feed the clan
Match 1 (Naya Burn)
Game 1
I start off by fetch-shock-neonate. My opponent suspends a rift bolt and I cry bc this is one of the toughest matchups for shadowvine.
A grueling 20 min later I won with 3 life due to a death shadow temur battle rage swing. I stalled him on turn 3 when I was at 11 life and cast 2 death shadows. He had 3 cards in hand. 2 bolts and a Boros charm. He bolted them both. I knew they would die if I didn't divert his bolts. I looted to a 4th death shadow and TBR to seal the deal.
Game 2
-4 street wraith
-2 thoughtsieze
+2 grim lava
+3 collected brutality
+1 feed the clan
He took me down to 12 on turn 2. I then fetch-shocked-gurmag to take me to 9. Turn 3 I cast feed the clan to game 10 life followed by by collected brutality to kill a creature and drain 2 gain 2. To seal up game 2!
Match 2 (Rally Combo)
My opponent played flawlessly. Had all the right plays at the perfect time. He killed me turn 4 game 1.
Game 2
-4 street wraith
-1 thoughtsieze
-1 burning inquiry
+2 blood moon
+4 leyline
We both start the game with leyline of the void on the field. I slam a turn 3 blood moon and take him down from there.
Game 3 was a long 25 minute game. Where I should have died on turn 4 to combo but I cast burning inquiry where I luckily discarded his combo and collected company. We then proceed to a stalemate for 7 turns where we both play creatures. The differences maker was I could not draw my Phoenix while he did draw 2 of his flying spirits. I still almost pulled the win out and would have but my opponent played his last turn in the exact sequence he needed to to win.
Match 3 (elves)
Another long game 1. I thougtseize turn 2 and take collected company. He proceeds to play lots of elves but not the ones that give him the win. I play all my creatures and win due to a little 2/2 flying bird in flame wake Phoenix.
Game 2
-4 street wraith
+2 grim lava
+2 collected brutality
Game 2 went a lot like game one. We went to 13 or 14 turns both played a lot of creatures but I eventually had a loop of grave crawlers to recur 1 Vengevine and 1 phonix to continue swinging into his wall of elves. I also claim a victory here to a well timed burning inquiry. I castes it with out having any cards in hand. It landed me my Vengevine and a grave crawler. It also looped a company and elf he needed to win the game with.
Match 4 (Eldrazi Tron)
Game 1
I thoughtsieze on turn 2 and his his only playable spell exposition map. See he has 2 karns in hand and only needs a power plant for tron. Turn 3 I cast double loot to cast 2 free hollow ones, get back a Vengevine and cast deathshadow at 9 life. Opponent lost next turn. It was my only good hand of the night actually. Or "nut" hand.
Game 2
-3 street wraiths
+2 blood moon
+1 big game hunter
It was a closer game but my opponent could not assemble tron and I was able to with through a relic with death shadow and temur battle rage.
Cards that did not perform well
Street wraith - It came out every game. I would rather play a 4th thoughtsieze, A 4th Phoenix, another land, and something spicy. Become immense, 1 main board collected brutality or a dismember. Yeah the explosive turn 1 or 2 hollow one is helped by street wraith but it isn't as powerful as the other things I want to have. Maybe the point is to always side it out after game one and become an Agro mid ranged control deck... Lol
Cards that outperformed expectations
Flame wake Phoenix! The flying is very relevant. Every game I wish I had 1 or 2 or 3. It is the true clock against creature games. I found myself in a stalemate against elves and rally but both match ups I was able to continuously close out the game with the phoenixes.
Burning inquiry!! Was crucial to most of my victories!! Just the style of deck I'm playing always gives me a percentage advantage over my opponent. Half of my cards I would prefer to be in the graveyard. Most of the time my opponent doesn't want their cards in the graveyard. So upon resolution, some times it fells like the card says pay 1 red draw 3 cards and set up a win while also saying force your opponent to complete change their game plan and often lose.
Cards I needed for tonight
2 Pyroclasm
1 More feed the clan
Yeah! You have a great point. I will say street wraith also helps out on the delve plans which for me is gurmag. My list pushes more towards midrange stompy. Even my best hand did not come out until turn 3. Having street wraith does help me push out death shadows quicker. My game plan is not to play them as soon as possible. As good as the card is, I don't want to be playing them until there are other threats on the field. It good also be the matchups I played against did not want more life loss. I played against 3 other Agro decks. Street wraith is an all star against control based decks and tron. Street wraith also gets worst with grave yard hate. When you can't use it for delve or grim lavamancer. Against 4 out of 5 games 2 and 3 I ran into leyline of the void twice, relic, and a grafdiggers cage.
So it sounded like grim lavamancer has been an all star for you main board. Does 3 feel like the right amount. Are you going to keep it that way?
Burning inquiry has been incredible because it also hits your opponents hand. We want to throwing cards in the graveyard while typically they do not. It really burns your opponent. There really is only 3 cards I don't want to throw in the graveyard, deathshadow, gurmag angler and hollow one. The other 48 cards are fine. I'd say that leaves us at pretty good odds of coming out ahead after burning inquiry.
I like that it's quite easy to activate Vengevine's ability thanks to the large amount of 1-drops and if you get hated with Grafdigger's Cage you can still beat them with Become Immense, you usually don't even need Temur Battle Rage
I've been wanting to play Dredgevine forever and this new version of the deck is amazing. Goblin Lore is fantastic. I've got a few questions for those involved.
1. The list I've been testing is B/R for Bloodghast and maybe Collected Brutality. Is there a reason I don't see Bloodghast around anymore? I understand the Pheonix works in a similar way, but why not run both?
2. B/R also allows for Shambling Remains that can be unearthed for a final attack and triggers the phoenixes as well. Is it good enough?
3. Have you tried Flamekin Harbinger as a 1-2 of? Helps set up quick reanimations and is another one drop to trigger Vv.
4. Does this new version of the deck have a name? Now that there is no dredge - it doesn't work anymore.
My decklist is completely combo based right now, though I'll post it once I get all the cards together to test in paper.
No sound, I was recording in a bar and didnt bring my mic with me
Because I was recording on one screen, theres times where I switch windows and you see it. Sorry, looking for video software to clean that stuff up
I was adjusting the overlay as I went along, I ended with what I think is the best, but other recommendations are certainly welcome!
Feel free to ask about plays and such as I didn't have a chance to explain myself
WOW! Congrats for your awesome result!
Now I wanna try it out myself...

So it sounded like grim lavamancer has been an all star for you main board. Does 3 feel like the right amount. Are you going to keep it that way?
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Wooded Foothills
2 Copperline Gorge
1 Forest
3 Mountain
3 Stomping Ground
Creatures (30)
4 Goblin Guide
4 Monastery Swiftspear
4 Insolent Neonate
4 Bomat Courier
4 Vengevine
4 Hollow One
4 Street Wraith
2 Hooting Mandrills
4 Faithless Looting
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Temur Battle Rage
3 Become Immense
2 Ancient Grudge
2 Feed the Clan
2 Heroic Intervention
2 Destructive Revelry
3 Blood Moon
4 Leyline of the Void
I like that it's quite easy to activate Vengevine's ability thanks to the large amount of 1-drops and if you get hated with Grafdigger's Cage you can still beat them with Become Immense, you usually don't even need Temur Battle Rage

I HAVE SOME NEW VIDEOS
Some precursors:
No sound, I was recording in a bar and didnt bring my mic with me
Because I was recording on one screen, theres times where I switch windows and you see it. Sorry, looking for video software to clean that stuff up
I was adjusting the overlay as I went along, I ended with what I think is the best, but other recommendations are certainly welcome!
Feel free to ask about plays and such as I didn't have a chance to explain myself
Having access to another 1-mana creature with haste is huge to finish games with Become Immense
