Zoo in 12th place at the SCG Modern Open this weekend. Its truly big Zoo in the old Kibler style. Lots of 4/5 mana spells in the 75 and 0 BBE! I'm curious what matchups he faced...

Does anyone have any experience with Naya Landfall Zoo? I love how it looks, and may do some testing with it soon. Would love any tips or advice people have on it!
I have the pieces for it and have tried it a few times for fun. It's VERY explosive if it hits. It's more go tall than go wide like most Zoo decks, and that means it's easier to disrupt with chumpblockers or removal. Other than that, it's a blast.
It's obviously very very fetch heavy, and the big beating comes at a steep price. Though T3 kills are very possible. T1 Lynx into T2 Geopede into T3 Rallier, fetching 3x in the process and landfall triggering 2 times on T2 (Attack for 4) and a whopping 4 times on T3 (Attack for 17) is as explosive as it gets. Ramunap Excavator and Knight of the Reliquary keep the drops comming and give a possible GQ lock to troublesome decks. Path to Exile and Ghost Quarter Double in function in this deck.
I'd like to add, this deck just stomps non-interactive decks, but in the current meta, with Jeskai, Jund and Mardu it's probably not the best choice.
I Dromoka's Command his d-sphere for lethal attacks on his endstep. Ewwwwwww....
Round 2: 2-1 Mono-White Aggro
Weird White Humans aggro deck. I lose game one 'cause I mull to 5 and keep a hand with 3 3cmc cards and two lands. I draw more 3 drops and no more lands and I die.
I get the next two because I play big idiots.
Round 3: 2-1 UW Control
He gets game one because he has the t1 path on my cat and turn 3 miracled Terminus. The game goes for a few more turns but I can't realistically gain enough traction.
I lose game 2 because I don't draw disruption and he's a turn faster.
I lose game 3 because I stick a t3 Damping Sphere. He untaps and leaves mana open with an electromancer in play. I slam a t5 BBE with 5 mana and get a Ratchet Bomb for possible gobbos. He remands my lethal BBE, committs my Damping Sphere, and his last card in hand is a gifts with a Grapeshot for the draw. So he gets the match. Frustrating way to go down, but not unexpected. It was frustrating game 3 that he drew two bolts and a Commit//Memory (3 friggin pieces of disruption) and still has enough gas to combo off turn 5 but sometimes they have it.
I literally lol'd on the Chapelle reference Great read, short but strong!
Care to elaborate on the two walkers in the side? When do they come in?
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar is a style of card I want to bring in against BGx decks, Mardu, and UWx decks. He's wrath and Teferi resilient. I never drew him all day.
I wanted Chandra, Pyromaster (not Chandra, Torch of Defiance -- can't type) against Mardu, BGx decks, control, and big mana. She's less effective vs. control than other styles of walkers but Falters Primetimes and Wurmcoils. Also, an absolute house vs. lingering souls.
Todd Stevens 5-0'd yesterday with a Naya Traverse list that's very Zoo-like.
He even went undefeated (10-0) on the league, playing against Bridgevine, Bant Spirits, Tron, Abzan Midrange and Storm.
Deck seems really nice.
My LGS has a guy who always plays Burn. I plan on dedicating 2 SB slots in my Zoo deck to Burn hate. My question is this: which is better against Burn, Lightning Helix or Dromoka’s Command? I recently saw a stream that showcased the power of the latter and I’m starting to wonder of it’s worth it.

They're both very good, but Dromoka's can save your creatures like Nacatl. It can also just erase their biggest tempo card in Searing Blaze.

Been testing this Landfall Aggro variant lately; the burst potential and decent amount of interaction has gotten me a ton of FeelsGood moments, like having Paths as a Turn 2 answer to Hollow Ones while also having my own beatdown pushing damage, with Bolts and Lavaman ready behind it. Feels like it has good game against Aggro and some of the uninteractive combo decks due to the speed. Need to test against Control, Midrange, and Big Mana, though; not sure how it'll fare there, but I can't wait to find out!
I honestly think the Landfall route is far more effective than a Goyf package. Burst potential is far superior in an aggro deck to having techy stuff left and right, in my experience.

My changes would be:
-1 Ratchet Bomb
+1 Gaddock Teeg or +1 Damping Sphere
I have a PPTQ Sunday. I'll run something similar back.
I've been very happy with Remorseful Cleric.
I also love the Tectonic Edges since it allows me to sideboard out Noble Hierarch and keep my mana count realistic.
He even went undefeated (10-0) on the league, playing against Bridgevine, Bant Spirits, Tron, Abzan Midrange and Storm.

Wow.
It's a slow, low curve aggro deck with marginal reach.
