Its just that the biggest problem i have at my local meta is the decks i mainly face are BW tokens, Soul Sisters, Aura Hexproof, and an enchantment based brew. Those ones put up some major problems that I can see Jace handling the tokens and the enchantment deck to a point. the other two i am having major trouble with. I know we can use engineered explosives on the hex proof deck and hibernation, but what about the soul sisters? The are the biggest problem i face.
Against Soul Sisters I guess you could also use EE (for 1 if they have the sisters and 2 if you want to destroy Honor and make your other cards like Lyze and Staticaster online again). Izzet Staticaster and Electrolyze are really good against them; Spell Snare gets their Honor of the Pure, Ajani's Pridemate, Squadron Hawk (which is huge) and some other stuff. I haven't been on UR Delver for a while (started hating what the deck had become with Swiftspears and TC), I'm just getting back and I'm not sure this is helpful, but it's what I could come up with off the top of my head. Also, try not to play Young Pyro on a stalled board state.
Sounds like you want 3 Electrolyze or some Forked Bolt in a meta like that. Aura hexproof isn't an amazing match-up, but Spellskite and EE on 1 sound good for those. I also play Annul because there are so many decks that are hit by it in my local meta its not even funny.
I haven't liked the Swiftspear build since the Treasure Cruise ban, it could work in a combo/aggro centric meta, but it's very weak to midrange or anything removal heavy.
Magma Jet I've found is really bad most of the time unless your most of your deck is instant speed. Being that you don't run Snapcaster Mage or Vendilion Clique, that's really hard to pull off.
I have no idea how competitive your list would be without Snapcaster Mage and Remand, you would probably do fine at FNM.
I'm not arguing about this. I agreed twice already that playing Mountains was probably not optimal, and definitely not something I would have done. I just think his reasoning was something other than budget since the Blue fetches from Khans are dirt cheap and he runs a number of pricey cards in the deck. Also, if he's a "good pilot" like the Reddit posters are saying, he's probably been with the deck long enough to have the lands he wants for it. But I don't see how we can't agree that whatever he ran worked at this event, because it clearly did.
Anti-Choke tech? A splinter twin heavy meta would attract copies of it.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
I've been having decent success with a 19 land deck based on the SCG lists, the difference being -1 Vendilion Clique, -1 Land, -1 Young Pyromancer, +3 Gitaxian Probe. 3 Vendilion Clique feels way too clunky especially if you draw multiples, and Gitaxian Probe is just sweet. 19 land very is close to 20 lands, I think 3 cantrip almost make up the difference. The higher land count of 19-20 is very relevant because most games you want to Snapcaster Mana Leak on curve. Which begs the question why don't we sideboard.
Kira is an interesting piece of sideboard tech, I'm not sure how many grindy non-Abrupt Decay decks there are in the format, but not many since Jeskai is no longer a tier 1 control deck.

Just 2 cantrips actually make up the difference:
Quote from Mike Flores »
But for our purposes, the lesson of Turbo Xerox is twofold: for every 4 cantrips in your deck, you can play 2 fewer lands, and a fast clock is synergistic with a redundant combination of answer cards and quick card drawing over the course of the short number of turns required to win (usually via race, rather than total board control).

You can also add hurkyl's recall and smash to smithereens to that list. I wish I had the answer because I can't seem to find the "best" artifacthate for this deck.
In my current meta affinity is not very popular and we already have a good match-up against them, so I try to run artifact-hate that's also good against other decks: I need to be prepared to kill aether vials and amulets. My artifacthate of choice is a one-off shattering spree, because it's versatile. I also run 1 engineered explosives.
If affinity was popular in my area I would probably just run 2 hurkyl's recall. It's instantspeed, a huge blow-out and awesome with snapcaster mage. I can also see myself running a shatterstorm.
It depends on how many threats you have, how many removals your opponent has, how many lands do you have, and the pace of the game. When you cast Young Pyromancer is very match up dependent.
For example: On the play against Junk with double Young Pyromancer hand with Gitaxian Probe, I would cast Young Pyromancer turn 2 provided I don't have a Spell Snare. Even if the first meets a removal, you're still ahead on tempo, know the opponent's hand, and have a 1/1 to pressure the board. The more threats you have, the earlier you can afford to deploy them PROVIDED you are able to answer their threats (e.g., Vapor Snag + Mana Leak/Spell Snare). If you die to a Pyromancer's Ascension, it's probably not a good time to cast your threat.
Another example: Playing against old UWR build with 3 lands in hand and cantrips, I would cast the cantrips and try to make every land drop that I can, and cast Young Pyromancer with 1-2 counter back up. If you are able to set the pace of the game, then you cast your threats when it's most convenient for you.
Yet another example: On the draw against Burn, I would cast Young Pyromancer on curve PROVIDED you do not need to Shockland yourself to cast him. This of course changes if you're able to Mana Leak his turn 3 play and also have Spell Snare follow up the following turn for the Searing Blaze/Searing Blood.
I believe this is why Tempo is the hardest to play archetype. The decisions are never obvious, and you need to know when to play the control role and when to switch to the aggro game to maximize your chances of winning the game.
Joining and following this thread because I am extremely excited to see people still sticking with this deck even after the Modern bannings of Cruise. I am a newbie at Modern and am building UR Delver because of how much I admire the card from Innistrad Standard when I first began playing. I definitely don't want the fact that it's not a "Tier 1" deck deter me from playing it, because it is still extremely strong, in my opinion. So, glad to see everyone still talking about it.
How does everyone feel about Anticipate? The card is a soft dig through time and allows YP triggers and allows us to find card advantage in the rare cases that we don't have to play anything on our opponent's turn.

5678truly interesting deck. I myself was surprised when I saw it at MtGTop8. Glad good old UR Delver hasn't said its last words.
I find interesting 20 lands and Clique plus Snapcasters in the MD. Will think about that.

maybe someone help me?
I try to build Delver on a Budget and though created a Thread in the Modern Budget Forum.
The Deck tries to combine Delver with Goblin Rabblemaster, Goblin Electromancer,
SToke the Flames, Goblin Grenade and some Gobo Tokens.
