Hey Guys extremely new to modern and looking to buy the paper version of u/g infect i had some trouble finding a update sideboard guide can anyone help me mainly deaths's shadow hardened scales im having problems with.
I haven't found a good SB guide either but if you read through this thread and watch some infect gameplay I think you'll find some useful info. What match ups are you wanting SB plans for?

Tom Ross is back and playing Infect at SCG Open in Vegas this weekend. So far the main deck seems pretty stock from what has been shown on camera and here’s his sideboard:
How much saltiness do you guys run into when playing infect? I play Infect in Pauper on MTGO and quite frequently will get a Match concession on turn 1 as soon as my Glistener Elf lands.
I am thinking of trying another Modern deck on MTGO and could convert my Pauper quite easily but am a little tired of facing off against crybabies.
If you are playing without paying there's no incentive for people to play it out. It happens to me all the time when I t1 a chalice. In other words, if you're not payin' their not playin' so don't take it too personally.
With the uptick in spirits and thing in the ice decks, it’s good to see twisted image making a comeback. I’ve been thinking about 1 main and 1 in the board.

Little angel, go away come again some other day the Devil has my ear today I'll never hear a word you say. He promised I would find a little solace and some peace of mind. Whatever. just as long as I don't feel so desperate and ravenous.
Not played Infect before and have started gathering cards, mainly based on Aaron Barichs/Kazuhiro Negris latest lists. I did have a couple of queries though (below). Firstly, I admit that I haven’t trawled the entirety of this thread for answers, so if that is a valid response, then I will do that in due course.
Is there any reason the deck doesn’t run any tutors? - I appreciate we kind of want the lament of surprise, but seeing as we have to mulligan very aggressively, would a few tutors help? I’m mainly thinking; commune with nature, traverse the ulvenwald. These are cheap and would help filter the deck.
Is there any reason the deck doesn’t run recursion? - Assuming that our key creatures are going to get removed pretty rapidly (and hopefully not via path to exile), is there an opportunity to run some graveyard utility? I’m thinking postmortem lunge or noxious revival
1) Commune with Nature doesn't get lands and Traverse the Ulvenwald nonbos with Become Immense. Also, with only 13-15 creatures, Commune will whiff often.
Long ago (really, really long ago) Serum Visions was played. Now we have more pump spells (BI, Defense) so nobody uses it. I've seen some BG variants with Grisly Salvage, which can find threats/Pendelhaven while filling up the graveyard, but is quite slow at 2 mana. Also seen Sylvan Scrying to grab Inkmoth Nexus/Pendelhaven.
2) Vines and Defense protect your creatures. If you feel like you need more, play Viridian Corrupter as the 13th infect creature.
3) Yes, more for boarding into Geist of Saint Traft than other SB cards.
I've seen quite a few Infect lists now days running Ichorclaw Myr and Rancor in Infect mainboards. I don't know have I feel about along with how to change up my list where it is pretty rock solid.
What is everyones opinion of the Infect way with Ichorclaw Myr and Rancor. I like the spice, I just don't know how the board with it and also the consistently.
I've been playing Infect since the beginning of Modern. I have nothing against the Ichorclaw Myr and Rancor plan as it is quite efficient, budget and strong but it lacks synergy with the rest of the deck.
Usualy the fastest route to victory goes with Become Immense and requires fuel in your GY. Ichorclaw Myr and Rancor don't help much with this other plan.

Ichorclaw Myr and Rancor is an interesting take on Infect now days since Gitaxian Probe got removed and the introduction of Fatal Push; however, I'm still going to use the list I have been playing without Ichorclaw Myr and Rancor, still does fine for me and throw people off guard quite a bit.
Thanks for your time.

Tom Ross is an amazing infect player, but many of the videos are a little dated.
