My assumption is that it is not a card we load up on in the main board. I'm thinking 1 in the main and 2 in the side. We still have our early counters but they fold at some point. Counter spell can be subbed in as a better catch all as needed.
I'd play it as a 4 of main. It would be the answer to bigger creatures and to spells played later in the game. Between it and shoal we'd have 8 hard counters. I'd try to complete the permissions suite with a couple of snares or pierces. That's (and a better cantrip) is what we need imho. The line would be vents, pool, island. I can't see any problem with that.
All of this in vacuum without knowing other cards obviously. It may be very different though.
If we got only lapse it would be the same, but I may stay on Countercats.
If we got both I'd probably split them but I don't know.
Just my two cents.
I'd probably play two in the main. Yeah, it's a little awkward on the mana, but it's more useful than Mana Leak by a longshot in lots of matchups. I'd probably also play another one or two in the side, although double blue plus Blood Moon is a little awkward.

Hate to double post, but did we just get a 3 mana walker we're interested in?
Domri, Anarch of Bolas 1RG
Creatures you control get +1/+0
+1: add R or G, creatures spells you cast this turn can't be countered
-2: Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control
Starting Loyalty: 3
Probably not, but the static ability and the -2 is huge at clearing the way for the fatties to get through. But not affecting an empty board stinks.

It seems interesting. The best I think it could do is force a Goyf/Mandrills to resolve against control decks. That alone isn't bad. The fight clause is also interesting, as there isn't tons of lightning bolts running around right now, so a 5/6 goyf could pretty comfortably kill a Gurmag. It seems like a neat card! But you're right, not affecting the board directly is kinda eh. I do like the static ability. Flipped Delvers now turn on stubborn denial!
She's neat. Essentially a 2 mana planeswalker, but she's only guaranteed to trigger off Hooting Mandrills... Tarmogoyf only enters the battlefield with 4+ power later in the game usually... and Delver never does. But She does feed goyf in the graveyard and she can help us out with mana and untapping a creature to use as a blocker, I guess.
Ral can be interesting. If he really does 3 damage when you cast or copy a spell he will be great. Even at 1 can he be ok. +2 scry 1is ok. —2 copy instant sorcery is good.

(Here you can find some video contents about Countercats and Temur Delver decks)
3-0, beating Jeskai Control twice and then Jund in the finals.
Jeskai opponent #1 is a very good player who shows up on occasion. He beats me G1 with some timely Paths, Timely Reinforcements, and a Settle the Wreckage I didn't play around. Oops. G2 I land a Mandrills, start attacking, and then waited for him to not have Cryptic mana up so I could land a Blood Moon. He taps a white to Path my Mandrills, I Simic Charm. He taps his last two open lands to Negate the Blood Moon, and I Spell Snared, GG. G3 I won off a Huntmaster he couldn't get rid of, including a wild ride down the stack with Path / Shoal for 1 / Cryptic / Dispel / Mana Leak / Spell Snare that won the game. 2-1 in games.
Jeskai opponent #2 is new to Modern and borrowing his buddy's deck. G1 I had one of those draws that make you feel like you can't lose: Delver into Goyf into holding up permission until they die. G2 I keep the world's slowest 7 with 5 lands, Goyf, and Spell Snare. I figure I need to make my land drops, and do, while my opponent gets stuck on 3 lands for a turn. Eventually I drew a Blood Moon and had counter backup, and won when it resolved because he had fetched greedily all game. This Blood Moon pulled me back from a Supreme Verdict. Eventually I won with a big Goyf and a Bolt. 2-0 in games.
Jund opponent is a great guy, almost always on some Thoughtseize deck. I'm 4-1 against him when he's playing BGx in 2019, and he's come to think of me (and my Blood Moons) as his nemesis lately. He's been on The Rock for a long time, so I was surprised when I saw him play a Raging Ravine. I guess Jund is his true love. G1 I had a Goyf and Mandrills, which combined with a Flame Slash to kill his Goyf. G2 he feared the Blood Moon but got there with Bloodbraid into Ooze eventually. G3 was going well for me, and then I Cliqued him in his drawstep to catch a Damnation that would've wrecked me. A few turns later, he's dead. I think part of the win here was because he fetched two basic Swamps early to play around Blood Moon, and then never found a third green source, so his Ooze was manageable and his creature lands were mostly off. In short: a Blood Moon won me a game in which I never even drew it. 2-1 in games.
Felt great to win. I've long wanted to try a Clique in the board, and it did just what I wanted it to do: increase threat density and give me some information before it dies. There are some adjustments I'd like to make to the board as I think I'm overloaded on blue stuff right now, but I have to say that Spell Snare has been very solid so far, getting important cards against Phoenix, Burn, BGx, and UWx. Delay could easily be something else. One change I may make is to cut the 4th Scour for a 3rd Sleight of Hand, a card I've come to love from its place in this deck.

I also had a good night going 3-1. (Shoal list)
Sadly I don't have much to report as I dodged the good decks in the room and beat a bunch of jank.
2-0 vs GW budget bogles but not hexproof creatures jank
0-2 vs Ad Naus who just had the nuts both games
2-0 vs Abzan.. So not jank but a SUPER new player to the deck and the inexperience showed.
2-0 vs Dice factory. Easy match up for us. Just beat down and counter the win con.

@Ob and Mike: good job!
I'd play the first Opt over the third sleight. It's nice having some instant speed cantrip.
@rghapro: it makes sense he only does 1 damage. He would be OP otherwise.
I didn't see her. She's strange. Her minus ability can be useless sometimes: don't we need about 20+ creature to use it profitably (if someone is better than me with statistical analysis is welcome)?
Her static and plus can help against various decks though (Control and aggro with flyers). Since she costs only 3 can be worth.
Hey guys I am a new player to Monkey Grow and just played my first event with it last night and did pretty well, wanted to share my experience. It is also my first time posting on mtg salvation so idk how to do a decklist properly, the main deck was pretty standard. Sideboard was slightly different, I had 2 Huntmaster, 2 Thing in the Ice, 2 Blood Moon, 2 Destructive Revelry, 1 EE, 2 Tormod's Crypt, 1 Rending Volley, 1 Dismember, 1 Dispel, 1 Pyroclasm.
Round 1 I faced against 8 rack pretty easy 2-0 win nothing special
Round 2 Against Burn I won 2-1, The math was hard when I had a Mandrils and 2 Simic Charm in hand when he was at 10 in Game 1, but lost, rallied in games 2 and 3 to win, by sticking threats and countering key spells
Round 3 Against Mono U Tron- Won 2-0 Like 8 rack pretty easy, Flipping a Revelry on my second Delver in play after he played an O Stone was lethal in Game 2
Round 4 Against Jund ID - We played this out he won 2 games I won 1, it was still pretty casual seems like a tough matchup
Round 5 Against Affinity ID - Played this out also We split the first two games and I got a wrong answer on a ruling question in Game 3 so unsure how that would have turned out ( Had a 3/4 goyf and wanted to attack into a 6/6 Master of Etherium and I had Dismember in hand and he had Welding Jar state based effects are wierd
Top 8 cut I am the 2 seed
Top 8 Win Against Burn 2-1 - Played against the same Burn opponent as Round 2, Split the first two games, both dominated by the winner. The third match was super close and won by Mana Leaking a Path on a Mandrills late and he couldn't get enough burn to kill me
Top 4 Split store credit - We were tired lol. I would have played against Faeries in the next round, have no idea how that mathcup would be
I find it awesome how every time I return to this thread, I find that you're kinda on the same wavelength as me. I also recently adopted Sleight of Hand in my UG list.
Played this in a handful of tournaments so far and it's all been insaaaaane. Really digging this archetype and it's power. Still having trouble with Tron tho I think I need to take some drastic measures and adopt either Commandeer or Damping Sphere for that matchup. If you guys had the choice to adopt, lets say, 2 of any of those two choices in my sideboard. What would you move around? Just curious.
Update: I'm also kinda in a similar situation with burn. I think that Burn has an appropriate presence of the meta to maybe play one or two Feed the Clan in the sideboard as well. Thoughts on that? Or is it too narrow?
Also; people are pretty active on this Delver discord. If you guys wanna talk more delver in all of it's iterations, you should jump on here!
