How are things going? I saw that a Sisters deck made it to Day 2 at the Milwaukee event.
I haven't played competitive Modern in a little bit. How is the meta? I keep seeing a lot of stuff about Zoo and Burn decks.
I have play-tested against American Control, Merfolk, and some other things here and there. Nothing too special. I am seeing the deck take an uptick in popularity at the local scene. I have seen Norin Sisters, and two different SS players over the last three local Modern weekday event.
How do we like Archangel and Zealous Persecution? Do I make Archangel a non-negotiable one-of? I have three flex spots, and right now she could easily replace my one Sorin.
ZP is still very "gotcha" for me, but it works nastily well when it works. Archangel is my primary win condition these days. I can't remember the last time I lost after casting her.
Meta feels very nice, but there's a lot of good stuff decks. I'm playing BG/X multiple times a night, as well as a lot of Kiki Chord and Abzan CoCo. Aggro is still present in decent numbers, I'm just not getting the luck of the draw.
to me is a bad idea, what i could see working is a transformational SB from SS into thopter combo, since weenie hate and graveyard/artifact is totally different
I'm thinking about sleeving up Soul Sisters for GP Charlotte, due to the variety of decks that I expect to see and the design of Soul Sisters. I've thought about taking a Collected Company variant, but I'm not sure if that's even decent? I do worry about random things getting blowing me out before I can interact in any way with the list I'm currently testing. Can someone take a look at it and give some pointers/ideas? It would be much appreciated.
I decided to go green for the CoCo and the infinite life/infinite damage from Archangel of Thune+Spike Feeder. The sideboard is a total mess, it definitely needs tons of work. The mizer's Worship is in case I run into something like Kiki-Chord, or Redcap Combo, to prevent the swarm of damage. The mana base looks good, but feels terrible in practice. There's been five games in a row where I've had to mulligan. I'm not sure if I should up the fetch count and lower the basic count or what.
Any insight would be awesome.

Probably wouldn't help with consistency, but since you're dealing with +1/+1 counters, have you considered Hardened Scales? Makes Ajani's Pridemate truly insane, and if you can't find Spike Feeder, Archangel of Thune still gets twice as good with some Sisters and Scales around.
I was definitely thinking about trying Hardened Scales, but I was trying to fit in things that I could fetch with CoCo. I'm definitely going to check it out and see how it runs. I mean, it might just be absurd.

I've been playing a CoCo version of our deck for a while, and can probably provide some insight.
1. I like two Townships, but I'm running mana dorks. If you reliably hit 5 mana, throw in another one.
2. I would run more value 2 & 3 drops. Brimaz is a great start, and Mirran Crusader is something I moved away from. It's probably time for me to go back to him. Spike Feeder is great with Archangel, but doesn't help except to grow Pridemate in your list.
3. Drop the Essence Wardens down a tad and go with more Attendants. That will lessen the times you have to bolt yourself.
4. I know Spike Feeder requires 1GG, but I would cut the forests. If you have luck like mine, you'll open the game with Plains, Forest, Township, Feeder, Crusader, CoCo, Archangel, and have to mulligan. Maybe go to three Spike Feeder? If you want to rely on the combo, run Chord of Calling.
5. Melira, Sylvok Outcast is a MUST if you want any chance against Infect. Or maybe Spellskite? Have you tried him?
6. You have almost no evasion, which is also a problem I face. It makes me miss Spectral Procession and Honor of the Pure a LOT. I've almost given up on this idea and gone back to the basic SS plan a time or two. I just feel like I'm onto something and am kinda stubborn.
Other than that, just make sure you post your list + results after each event you do well in. I could use some ideas, because my deck hasn't been doing so well.
Thanks for the recommendations! It's awesome finding someone who is on the Collected Sisters train!
1: Which mana dorks are you running? Hierarch, I assume? Or are you running birds?
2: I was thinking the same thing on value drops. My idea was that Mirran Crusader really fights hard against GBx. He's basically a stone-wall versus things like Abrupt Decay[/b], Tarmogoyf, and Scavenging Ooze. I'm not really sure what else I could put in that slot? I know it doesn't offer the same synergy as the rest of the deck, but I thought about main-decking Phyrexian Revoker. I feel like CoCo'ing into that card, gaining life, and then voiding whichever card they just played is a sweet deal. Probably way too cute, though.
3: You're absolutely right on the Essence Warden/Attendant.
4: That's exactly the kind of opening hand I've ran into. I didn't know if it was more a problem of my mana base/the Feeder, or CoCo. I was thinking last night about cutting the two forests and making them two more fetchlands (I was thinking 1 Wooded Foothills and 1 Flooded Strand).
5: I had Melira in the maindeck to try and give game against Infect (that + Dryad Militant removing cards to cut from their Delve count seems decent), but I just found her to be awkward in the main deck. I'll definitely add some to the side.
6: No evasion makes me :(. Is Squadron Hawk worth 4 slots? That would tie back into #2. The Hawk is definitely value, and is basically just a card draw engine. Possibly adding a Sword of X and Y somewhere in the 75 to let the Hawk carry?
Again, thanks for the awesome insight into the list!

Against Jund, do you bring in Sundering Growth in G3, even if you didn't see Night of Soul's Betrayal or Torpor Orb in G2?
I think if you see enough Jund in your meta, you should have a Celestial Purge in your sideboard. I don't often see them run Torbor Orb, but expect them to have Night of Soul's Betrayal - if you didn't see it, that just means they didn't draw it. If Growth is your enchantment removal, I think one should come in. It's just unfortunate that it doesn't hit anything else in their deck the way Purge would.
As for the CoCo list, I agree on Spike Feeder being more cute than good, and I don't think I would go all in on that interaction by running four. I don't think I'd cut it, either. 2 feels correct.
Squadron Hawk is mostly fine, especially since nothing else you have flies. I'd love to see it be Lingering Souls instead, but you need stuff that hits CoCo, and hitting a Hawk and anything else off of it seems delightful (1 card becoming two creatures on board and three in hand? Worth testing.) Where do you cut, though? Dryad Militants to the side?
I'm all for Swords in the build, especially since you run a Mirran Crusader. Sword of Fire and Ice (pretty much an I win on Mirran) and Sword of Light and Shadow would be my top picks.
How do you guys feel about Mirran Crusader? He seems so good in theory, but just Bolt bait in practice. When I used him in Death and Taxes in Legacy, he needed to have a Mother of Runes with him or he got destroyed.
Hushwing Gryff completely turns our deck off. Why is it in your side?

Crusader is just like every other B threat I've tried; he's good, but gets removed or outclassed quickly. And my build doesn't exactly swarm the board with evasive threats like a normal SS shell would. I'm beginning to think CoCo just doesn't work with 12+ one drops.
Spicy little Mana Tithe in there, haha. Good to see such a basic build put up results. Immortal Servitude doesn't seem better than Return to the Ranks in most situations, though. Maindeck O-Ring has been fine for me, as well.

the Hushwing Gryff kills your synergy. Creatures entering the battlefield gains you 1 life and non-bo's your pridemate.
How does soul sisters deal with ensnaring bridge decks. Last night I got murdered by a guy who hit a turn 2 blood moon into turn 3 ensnaring bridge into turn 4 Koth of the hammer. He was playing spirit guides and rituals. Once he hit the Koth ultimate I couldn't win but it took him forever to get me down to 0 life. The blood moon didn't do anything, but I didn't have an answer for the bridge.
I have played a lot against lantern. I have only beaten it once and the other matches went to three games. One time I mulled to three for a leyline and nearly won it. I was on the draw and it was a game three.
I think you just side in everything, because your only win con is tokens before the bridge drops or the Martyr combo. Rest in peace shuts off academy ruins because they will resort to the hard lock but they have to play around leyline first. So the longer the game goes the harder it is to win... Game three.
Game two you just go all in with creatures. You can board out paths, honor of the pure, pridemate, Angel...
I have been playing a lot with archangel again. She's a keeper. I did begin to run into trouble with sorin in the deck and found the archangel was overall a more consistent win con.
