I'm not a fan of Seek. It's only relevant for one card when the rest of your Emrakul answers have a wider field of use. I would cut ext, seek, and add an Engineered Explosives and 2 Stony Silence. Affinity is rough but Stony is just so good against some bad matches for us.

Hide and seek is good imho. Emrakul is such a big problem for us and i want to deal with it quickly before it hits the gy. I get to search their entire library also so valuable information is to be had.
Ive seen emrakul ounce since using this hate and turn 2 pulled it out. Most emrakul decks run 1 so its a stop all answer but i don't rely on it to beat emrakul i have 8 other cards i hate it out with too.
Playing a unsanctioned tournament next weekend so ive been trying to solidify my decklist. As it stands this is it now.
Last night i played a 4 round modern tournament and went 3/1 for 5th place
Round one against death and taxes. The land disruption hurt me a bit and lost to it 0/2
Round 2 was against 8 whack zoo. I beat it 2/0 TiTi is working well here and i prefer it over wall of omens in the deck since it can become a threat.
Round 3 was against mono red 8 whack goblins. Leyline worked well game 2 against it and i ended up going 2/1 against it. He was lucky to win game 1 as i had a commanding position when he goblin naded me to the face 3 times in a turn.
Round 4 was against azban company and i destroyed that deck. 2/0 both times milled him out fast.
TiTi is working well since i would rather have the aggro threat of it then the extra draw. I can definitely see why someone would want to run omens though.
My aggro matches are much better now and i feel i can definitely beat them.
Snapcaster Mage works well in the deck and replaces Jace vryn's prodigy. Jace was getting bolted and such before he could flip. Snapcaster is just doing what he does and im getting the value out of him.
I never said Seek is bad. I'm saying that it does one very specific thing against one card only to stay relevant in our sideboard. I absolutely cannot suggest that people play X slots of 15 sideboard cards with only one specific purpose to fight one specific card. Other cards like Spellbombs do this, net you a draw, and can be used against a wide field and still be relevant. I think a card like Seek is entirely too specific in a wide and random format like modern.

Actually the Hide portion can be very useful too, which is why I run 3x Hide//Seek in my SB. Hide works well against a Blood Moon and Leyline, two really, really annoying things that can completely wipe the deck. I run a single Blood Crypt to fetch against those decks, and can be useful against Affinity too. Blood Moon's effect also works to completely fix the red mana portion so you can use it with a single Plains if you choose to run one - I would, but I need more fetches, so I think this is dependent on the meta in your area.
How are people playing against merfolk with a bunch of lords ?
I played against a version last night and it was getting islandwalk against me consistently. I just dont have enough paths to exile for all the lords hahaha
If all goes well on turn 4 you can win. Turn 1 Hedron Crab, turn 2 Mindcrank, turn 3 Duskmantle Guildmage, turn 4 do the combo by activating Duskmantle's ability and dropping a land or playing a land and casting one of your Scours if you don't have a Hedron Crab in play.
This deck centers around the Duskmantle Guildmage & Mindcrank combo but has Jace, Memory Adept as a secondary wincon with Duskmantle Guildmage and regular milling as the backup plan.
Against decks with artifact hate I like to side out the Mindcranks and Elixers the second match if the combo goes off the first match and add in Ravenous Trap, Mind Funeral and Chronic Flooding to return to a generic milling match.
Been tinkering around with some of the fringe-ier ideas. Thoughts thus far:
1) I haven't been able to get Manic Scribe to work. Like, ever. He drops early, mills three and does nothing. He drops late and is insta-murdered. Delirium doesn't SEEM like it's toohard to get off on paper, but in practice it has been a massive difficulty (even with the full clutch of Mesmeric Orbs.) Am I missing something on this guy?
2) Ghostly Prison and Mesmeric Orb has been the all-star combo that has bought me a ton of games. Does a phenomenal job of stabilizing without stopping my own dudes like Ensnaring Bridge.
3) Nihilith is hit or miss for me. I'm running 4 in the SB and using it as a transformational kind of thing. When he does get to actually exist he presents a really aggressive clock (because usually the opponent hasn't been thrillingly concerned about their life totals to that point). Buuuut often times he just sits in suspense. I'm on the fence.
4) Hide // Seek is super-great. Emmy is everywhere. Gives you a full colonoscopy of their deck to see how they're siding. Would recommend.
5) Springboarding off of my Manic Scribe rant, I've been looking for another permanent like Hedron Crab to carry me through the late game and all I can come up with is Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver. I realize he's slow, I realize he's a three-drop and I realize he's hard to protect. Buuuut he doesn't insta-die to bolt and can't be hit by path. I dunno. I'm gonna try it. Other alternatives are welcome.
Random add but it allows an alternate win condition and you're already going to cast spells. Additionally, it gives you a chance to bounce the FSM should you miss it on its way down.
If you are playing Mesmeric Orbs the bounce doubles as extra mill since they're going to HAVE to replay their creatures.
I'm aware it may never flip but it's still a 4 toughness wall at that point. That wall will buy you time and time is all you need.

Im using 4x titi at thia point and the general consensus from my opponents is that it's gross.
It puts a clock on them and they don't like it.
Ive trialed manic acribe. Didnt find it overly difficult in getting delirium but have decided i dont want to run it.
Funny enough im going to trial running 2x Mesmeric Orbs tonight down from four and 2x titi down from four to include a playset of inquisition of kozilek.
I want to see if there is at all a place for inquisition in a mill deck. Having said that Mesmeric Orb combos very well for the deck so it may not. We will see.
Final thoughts is that titi is a very playable creature in our decks and should have a 2x spot or playset space.

1) I can activate delirium and mill for 9+ 50% of the time. Aside from Orb I can fill it naturally with fetches, removal, instants, discarded stuff, sorceries and with destroyed creatures and artifacts. Remember to tap lands end of turn if you have Orb but no delirium yet.
3) I dont support aggro-mill. In my opinion it isnt consistent. It has few creatures to deal damage and modern is filled with removal and its mill plan is weak.
4) I dont like Hide/Seek. Its super narrow and I have other ways to deal with Emrakul. First if I see that deck is probably running Emrakul, I stop milling. I wait til I have enough mana and Crypt Encursion to proceed milling. Luckily most of the decks running Emrakul do nothing except for summoning Emrakul so I have some time. Bridge can help also. After sideboard I have 3 Nihil Spellbombs put into main. Again I don't mill aggressively until I have Emrakul answer. I found the matchup ok.

3) The number of games I've won off of an unchecked Jace's Phantasm is... a lot. Right now it's a transformational kind of thing, so I'll tinker with it for a couple few tournaments. You very well may be right, though. Does dilute the original plan a tad.
4) Interesting play-around advice on Emmy. I'm still pretty impressed with the card though. Purely while Emrakul remains super-popular. I hit two decks out of 4 last tournament that weren't Jeskai Control but just jammed 4 Nahiri, the Harbingers and an Emrakul in there just because. One was a Living End deck and the other was some crazy Knight of the Reliquary Knightfall with a Kiki Jiki, Mirror Breaker combo in there as well along with the Emrakul combo. Was super weird, but still illustrates my point that you can't ALWAYS call when someone is running our spaghetti overlord.
5) Looking for some feedback on Ashiok. The more I think about it the more I kinda like the idea, aside from the 3 CMC. Can blank hands and graveyards in the long haul. Just sayin'.
I have been playing mill for years off and on. I have played with ashiok in the past. It did not make much different in any game that I used it in. It died quick and I never really got a chance to do anything really with it. Planeswalkers are hard to protect in a deck with only 8-12 creatures

For those wondering, the Windswept Heath was in there purely because I couldn't get ahold of a Marsh Flats in time.
Round 1 - Rainbow Creatures
This one was weird. All rainbow lands and just value creatures like Mantis Rider, Siege Rhino, Coiling Oracle, Meddling Mage and lots o' removal. This dude was EXCEEDINGLY confident about his deck and audibly laughed when he figured out I was playing mill. It was uber-satisfying to put him in his place.
Game 1 - Simply outran him with help from a Crypt Incursion for 12 life.
-1 G Prison, +1 Path
Game 2 - A Ghostly Prison and a Crypt Incursion for 36 life shut him up pretty quick.
2-0 round, 1-0 record
Round 2 - Ad Nauseum
Game 1 - He got there.
-4 G prison, -3 Path, -2 Crypt Inc, +4 Surgical Ex, +3 Thing in the Ice, +2 Hide/Seek
Game 2 - He got there BUT was relying on Conflagrate to finish and was literally one card short. It was lovely.
Game 3 - Extracted Ad Nauseum for a spot concede.
2-1 round, 2-0 record
Round 3 - Ad Nauseum
This guy insulted my last round's opponent, saying he wasn't a "real" Ad Nauseum player. Okie dokie.
Game 1 - He mulled to 5 and just didn't have the pieces before I could mill them away.
-4 G prison, -3 Path, -2 Crypt Inc, +4 Surgical Ex, +3 Thing in the Ice, +2 Hide/Seek
Game 2 - I mulled to 5 and still managed to mill his 4 win cons in the first half of his deck.
2-0 round, 3-0 record
Round 4 - CoCo Combo
Game 1 - He hits T1 Noble Hierarch into T2 Kitchen Finks into T3 Eldritch Evolution for Archangel of Thune into T4 Spike Feeder. Went infinite and bashed me.
-4 G Prison, -1 Crypt Inc
Game 2 - I screwed up. Was trying to Extract enough combo pieces to get my gameplan on. Hit Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, saw a Eldritch Evolution and a Chord of Calling in his hand. Extract Evolution. Notice Melira, Sylvok Outcast in his graveyard and aim my last extract in hand at her. He Chords in response to fetch a Melira into play before it resolves EVEN THOUGH I KNEW HE HAD IT IN HAND WITH ENOUGH ON THE BOARD TO CONVOKE HER OUT. Stupid, stupid, stupid me. He top decks the Viscera Seer and already had the Murderous Redcap in play and that's the ballgame.
0-2 round, 3-1 record
Round 5 - Infect
Oh lord.
Game 1 - Slammed a Ghostly Prison on turns 3 and 4. Proved enough of a tax to where he couldn't attack AND pump aside from his one Mutagenic Growth. He was careless with his life total and got the Jace's Phantasm beatdown.
-2 Mesmeric Orb, -2 Crypt Incursion, +3 Thing in the Ice, +1 Path to Exile
Game 2 - Turn one Glistener Elf into turns two and three Might of Old Krosa with a Vines of Vastwood to eat my Path. Oh well.
-2 Mesmeric Orb, +2 Surgical Extraction
Game 3 - I kept a one lander. Second land never came. Never, ever keep a one lander. Did my best with a crab, phantasm and 2 paths, but he just kept coming and I didn't have any gas.
1-2 round, 3-2 record
2 losses was enough to guarantee I didn't top 8 so I dropped. Some obesrvations:
1) I am sick of trying to make Manic Scribe work. You guys have fun.
2) I think Startled Awake warrants a second look. Moving my manabase up to 23 means that hitting the 4th land is pretty easy and having another pair of slams for 13 is very relevant. Great Shelldock Isle target as well. Never got to flip it, but was never necessary.
3) Ghostly Prison > Ensnaring Bridge and I don't want to hear anything otherwise. Slows the tempo of aggressive decks WHEN YOU NEED IT SLOWED, which is early one. Bridge is sometimes too hard to empty your hand fast enough to be relevant.
4) Never got Thing in the Ice to even hit the board, so don't have enough info on it to make a decision. Seems good though in grindier matches.
Im looking to play a GPQ this weekend and im going to try running 22 lands. I have been running 20 lands for a long time and i want to see what kind of difference it makes.
Im of the thinking that mill works best with a strong secondary wincon with beatdown ao currently i run 4x Jace's Phantasms and 2x thing in the ice.
I would love to find another two spots for a playset of thing in the ice but i can't quite yet. Everyone says it fits in the deck very well.
Atm i run 12 creatures plus two lingering souls so a fair amount of access to creatures i feel the only way to more put in a playset of titi and consistently get it out would be to dropping lingering souls maybe.
1x crypt incursion
3x disenchant
2x rest in peace
3x surgical extraction
1x extirpate
2x nihil spellbomb
2x hide//seek
1x stony silence

I played against a version last night and it was getting islandwalk against me consistently. I just dont have enough paths to exile for all the lords hahaha
Here's my combo/mill deck:
2 Jace, Memory Adept

4 Duskmantle Guildmage
4 Hedron Crabs
4 Jace's Phantasm
Lands (24)
4 Evolving Wilds
1 Foreboding Ruins

If all goes well on turn 4 you can win. Turn 1 Hedron Crab, turn 2 Mindcrank, turn 3 Duskmantle Guildmage, turn 4 do the combo by activating Duskmantle's ability and dropping a land or playing a land and casting one of your Scours if you don't have a Hedron Crab in play.

Thanks for reading. Deck is sick.
Mind Funeral for 24 cards.
Crypt Incursion for 54 life.
1) Telemin Performance is a good card to have in the sideboard against some decks. Talent of the telepath is a good card, too.
2) Surgical Extraction should be in the mainboard. Every deck has a threat that we milled. It even costs 0 mana and only 2 life.
3) Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank combo should be in every deck? one can win from any mill card, the other off any single point of damage. Memory erosion is good.
4) the deck has a problem in any scenario in a problem with a creature. that deck can win from any win creature. I play Jace's Phantasm and Nihilith for that reason. Consuming aberration is also useful, and Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver can give us a big card. actually,
5) Avatar of Woe is good in the sideboard.
