I don’t know if running Jund colors would stretch the manabase too far, but having black for Claim//Fame would be nice. Claiming back a Mogg War Marshall for B and netting RRR and three card draws seems broken. I also wonder about something like Footbottom Feast. I know it’s a little out there but depending how you stacked them you could set yourself up to continue going off or at least set yourself up for the following turn if you used all your mana already. It looks interesting with Commune With the Gods. 3-cmc may be too clunky though.
I still don’t want to give up on the Murderous Redcap combo either. This is exciting and frustrating. I hope they throw us a bone in the subsequent set.

Looks like a bunch of people are trying to figure it out. There’s quite a few videos up on YouTube. Unfortunately 2/2 of the videos I watched the decks were getting stomped. Still, I’m glad there’s a bunch of people working on it. Fingers crossed someone will break it. I don’t play combo (unless you consider Living End combo) but if one of my favorite tribes get a combo deck in modern, I’m there.

Alright, I finally have the start of a list that I'm happy enough with to feel like sharing. I've been playing solitaire with it on Cockatrice for awhile now with good results. There's still a ton of tweaking to be done, but I'm starting to feel like the deck is a real possibility.
It's still very much a work in progress. I will say that Footbottom Feast is the real deal, man. I tried Commune with the Gods and liked it, but am currently trying the deck without it. It's sort of clunky, but it gives us better chances of making sure we get our Fecundity. I'm stoked about this list though. Try it out, let me know what you think. I'm open to any and all suggestions/criticisms.
Claim is more incredible than I thought it was going to be. It's insane value when you return a Mogg War Marshal to play. I'd like to find a spot for a couple of Knucklebone Witches because they would get huge while you're drawing your deck and give you a another angle of attack, but I don't like the casting cost.
Has anyone else been brewing combo goblins (comblins)? I've been working on BR, RG, and BRG. It's starting to come together but it's just not there yet. I'm pulling out my hair!!! I'd be interested to know if anyone else is working on something similar and if so, if they've had any luck or not.
My brew isn't combo, just multi color 8 whack. I've found that there are around 6 utility spots for cards not red or directly goblin oriented.
I have the plan on going black red right away for spike jester (3/1 haste for BR) and Warren wierding. Great edict effect that can benefit us as well. Then sideboarding in either green for ATARKAS COMMAND and ghor clan rampager's bloodrush (GR for +4/+4 and trample on an attacking creature) maybe even heroic intervention to stop boardwipes.
White for boros charm maybe even blue for counters or the uncommon that gives one power or one toughness creatures unblockable COULD be good, but probly not.
Am I missing any EASILY SPLASHABLE cards that could help out or guys?
Chainwhirler is a unit. There aren't many 3 cmc 3/3 creatures with NO DOWNSIDE AND HUGE UPSIDE. Just ordered my playset along with all of the charms that have red in them.
Seems like there's a ton of different ways to go once you've got fetches and shocklands to get with em.
This is a weird list, but there are some interesting pieces to it.
Traverse is a good way to pull a "silver bullet" creature, just like Matron used to do, but I guess in this case you're going for Zulaport Cutthroat? I wish we had more viable choices like Sledder and Sharpshooter.
The one thing I like about it is the overall low cmc of the creature base... I was thinking that with Goblin Warchief you would run a higher cmc for creatures hoping to bring it down, but you run the risk of always trading down in mana without him. If you start with a low cmc to begin with, you are always breaking even on casting/sacking creatures to Prospector.
I imagine Bauble is in there more because of Traverse and less for the draw? Or both? It's a pretty useful card in a goblin deck... replaces itself and gives you information. It was always big in the Gobots decks, but I can see it having a home here too.
I find the singleton Manamorphose weird. I can't imagine running less than 3-4 copies for what it does, but I see you are struggling for space. The single Noxious Revival is also cute, and not terrible as a 1-of. I guess it can hit non-creature cards that Claim//Fame can't pull back for you (and without spending mana....)
Anyways.... interesting build, it's a bit quirky, but would be interested to see how it performs.
Man, I really wanted to make a midrange build with the Murderous Redcap combo built in, but I've had a terrible time trying to come up with one that's decent at both and I got pretty frustrated and discouraged, so I've moved on to this "Dirty Kitty" build for the time being.
I'll try to answer everything:
I was needing a way to ensure I find my combo pieces. While the deck may still be able to get a little swingy with Bushwhacked tokens, it's still very dependent on comboing. Faithless Looting helped out quite a bit to filter my hand (and also to discard Mogg War Marshal to hit with a Claim // Fame for value, which comes up relatively frequently) which I think is fundamental. I was still missing something to add consistency though, so I tried Commune with the Gods. It's cool tech but it just felt too clunky at 2-cmc. Someone mentioned a Traverse build on the Dirty Kitty thread which sounded like a good idea so I gave it a whirl.
The 8-card suite has been fantastic.
-Traverse not only finds me Zulaport Cutthroat like you stated, but it's also really useful for grabbing a War Marshal. While the GRC cost of grabbing and playing War Marshal doesn't net me any mana off Prospector/Fecundity, it does draw me three cards, which can be combo-saving sometimes. Of course Traverse can also grab me a Prospector if I need one.
-In addition to Bauble being there for the obvious Delirium assist, it cuts down my deck in a sense, drawing me my combo pieces more often. It adds to my storm count. It gives me sometimes invaluable information which tells me whether I should use my fetch or a fastland, throw something different on top with Noxious Revival, etc., etc.
Speaking of Noxious Revival, the card has been great. You draw so much of your deck (sometimes all of it) that it's nice to have a card that's essentially any of your cards. It's less efficient than other individual cards, but the fact that it can be any of them makes it great. Or at least I think so.
And the Manamorphose is indeed weird. I wish there were more, but I don't see a spot for any more. The singleton actually serves a very important function though. When I'm drawing my deck, I quickly run out of any color mana other than R. When I hit this single Manamorphose it allows me to cast another Claim, and/or another Traverse, and/or another Fecundity, and/or the Cutthroat. Of course it helps my storm count, which is why I wish I had room for more. Still, the 2-cmc can be awkward early on more often than you'd think.
I feel like Claim is essential, and I often wonder if I should try to add the third. I feel like I can't overstate how much of an enabler it is when trying to start going off early on, or to continue going off when things aren't going quite right.
The manabase has felt alright so far.
The creaturebase I think is right. Mogg Fanatic lets me hit pesky hatebears or whatever else is trying to ruin my day, or draw a card off Fecundity if I don't have my Prospector and I'm throwing a Hail Mary to try to find something. Goblin Bushwhacker makes my tokens substantial and hasty, and is really the only other card (in addition to maybe Cutthroat) that gives me any sort of a secondary angle if my combo falls through. War Marshal is War Marshal. Cutthroat gives me a way to net some life back, and lets me skip the combat step altogether so I can get around pesky Ensnaring Bridges and stuff.
I'm very skeptical about how well this deck holds up to interactive decks. I'm not confident it can grind very well, but I could be wrong. I haven't tested it in that context yet. Maybe it can grind better than I'm giving it credit for. I think it should have a fair shot against more linear decks. It solitaires very well. Honestly I think we need another Goblin for it to become more than a novelty. Sledder, Matron, Sharpshooter, etc. I hope I'm wrong though.
Edit: Now I'm just second guessing everything. Maybe it's just a strictly worse version of the much simpler (more streamlined?) list Jim Davis first posted. I need to put it all down and let someone else figure it out. I'm driving myself nuts.

Oh I know this feeling... hahaha.
Given a few weeks, people will have tested variants in competition and had more minds on the idea. But it's always good to keep thinking about... it's like a puzzle with no solution. It gets frustrating sometimes.
Interesting choices, but yeah I keep getting the feeling that playing straight up traditional Storm is a better Storm deck, and that regular old 8-Whack is a better Goblin deck. But there are still shades of a good idea in here.
Haven’t tried to brew with it yet, but Song of Freyalise seems like it could be good to dump a hand full of hasty Birds of Paradise goblins or ramp into fatties like Siege-Gang Commander, and then swing out with buffed, vigilant, trampling, indestructible dudes.
And I’m almost certain you’re right, Potroque. Im not at all convinced any of these ideas are better than an 8whack build, but I’m still gonna try my hardest to brew with the intention of breaking the little green guys. Still, at the end of the day, 8whack will probably still be the better gobbo deck in modern. At least until they throw us another bone.

I retired for a while, but now I'm back with mtg and Gobbos. What do you guys think about Prospector and Chainwhirler in Modern Goblins? Are they good enough? This is the list I'm playing now.
Magic Aids, on Youtube, just released a new video trying a Dominaria brew of 8-Whacks. He went 5-0 during his league. Namely, he tried Flame of Keld, and the Saga performed very well, quasi acting like another bushwhacker. It's another dream topdeck during the endgame.
During the last "chapter", every 1/1 hits for 3, every Fanatoc sacrificed BOLTS the opponent, and Grenades xplodes for 7.
I'm really tempted to try it.
He also tried Bomat Courier, and I love this card, the only problem is that's it's a nombo with Flame of Keld (which only boosts RED sources of damage). It showed up well, the redraw effect can be very strong by itself.
I don't know what 1 Simian Spirit Guide is doing here though. It's already a risky manabase :3
It's a skill any good goblin player must possess
(but yeah he was lucky)
I've been talking about this with a friend who also plays 8 whacks and he's more interested by Bomat alone than Flame of Keld. We'll try different lists I suppose

I think bomat courier giving card advantage to goblins means it's a must try. The flame of keld simply gives a bit of card advantage with much higher payoff at the very end.
I have been playing the flame of keld courier list a bit, bit with the minored ramunap setup instead of green for atarkas and revelry.
Both cards are very interesting as goblins problem is running out of gas and it being hopeless to win when your draws are all one ones etc. Both cards help with this, it's just not obvious if picking up grind points is worth the drop in straight up explosiveness (eg foundry Street denizen).
Too early to know, and too many new options already with prospector and warchief splitting the testing of goblin decks in so many directions.
Fecundity might be the future... Or devotion... Or traverse... Or collected company... Or courier/flame... Lot of new things available to try for goblins
