So the more I've been playing with firebrand the more I think he's better than fanatic for the way my deck is built. It feels really good to have so many guys with haste. It feels like I'm not behind removal or sweepers because I'm back in the red zone so quickly.
Has anyone else purchased 4 copies of the rack to side in against ensnaring bridge?
Its a good plan against bridge, but I don't think we're going to be seeing much Ensnaring Bridge in the new meta; Jace will dominate Bridge strategies and BBE decks are going to be pushing Kolaghan's command numbers up. Jace also makes a strong case for grixis, which also means k command's stock rises.

I really like firebrand too, for a lot of the same reasons. I can't see myself abandoning fanatic altogether, but to be fair our decks look very different despite having a ton of overlap.
I know that the metagame is about to change but regardless I published an article regarding Modern Vial Goblins, for any interested give it a read and let me know what you think about the "japanese" Modern Vial Goblins.
Hey Baron, that is awesome! I am very glad to hear Kuldotha topped an event. And, the new one drop goblin looks bawler. Personally, traditional goblins have a pretty solid core now. Maybe they might place more often?
But, I've sold off my collection of MTG cards. I made 2K off of everything I sold. The only thing I kept was my Gobots. I have my MTGO account, but I haven't logged in for quite some time. I left for a couple of reasons.
One, the modern meta tilted hard into midrange and control in a way I don't ever see changing. Here is how I state MTG to others, "MTG is a game where you play to not play MTG."
Two, the community as a whole, it just sucks. From online to small to large communities its a pokerfaced salty crew that wish to win at any cost. Even I got caught up in it by dropping chalice of the void, blood moon, and ensnaring bridge. That's when I knew I needed to sell it off and move on.
If I ever pick up the game again it would be simply to play gobots and traditional goblins on MTGO for good ol'times sake.
Hey board! I’ve only recently rejoined the MTG community after a long hiatus and even more recently jumped into MTGO. Of course, I’ve been working on becoming proficient with my beloved goblins and, after trying the popular 8 Whack build for a while, I’ve moved over to the No Lords build HellaKevin pioneered.
I have to say, I love it! I’ve only dipped my toe into friendly leagues so far but after going 3-2 and 4-1 in several, I think it’s safe to assume I’ve found the deck I wanna stick with. So, if he would be so kind, I’d love to pick the brain of the master. The matchups I seem to have trouble with are mid-range Abzan and Jund and Affinity. One seems to out attrition me and the other is a race I can’t win, even after sideboarding.
Please forgive my newbishness. I’m really stoked to reconnect with the game I’ve loved for many years and it looks as though I had good timing. A friend told me Dominaria is on the horizon and the first and only thing I thought was: Goblins!!!
I’ve not played regularly since Time Spiral so obviously I have a lot to learn. I’ve dived many pages deep into this board but the meta seems to shift frequently so I’m looking for any edge possible.
I'd typically try to outrace Bogles. Goblins go wide, so it's easy to get around them. For sideboard cards, you need spells that don't target like Electrickery or Blazing Volley. The trouble is you'd have to kill them before they get pumped up.
EDIT: Spellskite steals their enchantments until they draw removal. Ratchet Bomb/Engineered Explosives also hurt us, but at least you can control the timing. (Back in the day, my Goblin deck ran Nevinyrral's Disk to great effect, but it costs too much mana now.)
Goblin Warchief gets a reprint in Dominaria, which will make him Modern legal. Maybe this can make some other Goblin decks than our all in list viable?
I’m so excited to play with Warchief. It’s been a awhile since I’ve played Goblins. Last time I played Goblins was when Piledriver became Modern legal and it was awesome! Can’t wait to tear up FNM with Goblins again!
In celebration of Goblin Warchief becoming legal in Modern, need to ask: Does his reduction cost effect works on the surge cost of Reckless Bushwhacker???

Sorry for the bad english, not my native language!!!
I don't think it's unrealistic to hope for matron reprint, or functional reprint - they just printed a bunch of tribal creature tutors in Ixalan (or rix, can't remember) and we've had harbingers in modern forever.
I don't think Warchief fits what we've been doing, but it'll definitely be interesting to see if anyone can put together a 'big goblins' list. Lots of good options out there; been awhile since I sleeved up a Goblin Ruinblaster!

Stone rain on a stick. Daddy likey.
Im guessing I shouldn't hold my breath for a goblin guide reprint?
I'm kinda high on Ringleader reprint, looks more realistic than Matron. Anyhow, even if we don't get anything spectacular in Dom, we still can hope for Core set to include some goblins.

Gotta be right? Keeping my fingers crossed.

On another note, did legion loyalist just triple in price?

Why do you think it seems more realistic? I feel Matron seems more realistic due to their recent printing of Forerunner tribal tutor creatures in RIX.
I mean, I think I would prefer Ringleader if I had to choose one to be reprinted - good ways to bounce back from sweepers is what we need.
