In those situations, you can't reliably play around Blood Moon. It completely depends on what's the earliest that your opponent can play it, how many Auras you can deploy, and how large can you make your guy to beat (most) anything that they could have AFTER the Blood Moon. You could leave up Nature's Claim if you like, but it slows you down, so there's a lot to consider. But this deck often can't play around Blood Moon and I've played 8-9 fetches ever since I barely started the deck and started to stream line it. With 8-9 fetches, I don't fold to Blood Moon as often as most Bogles decks. It also gives me more "copies" of Dryad Arbor. Sometimes you just really can't play around Blood Moon.
And while I do this very well when I'm playing the deck, I often fall into a trap of playing around Liliana of the Veil a bit too often, as well as sweepers. I need to train myself to be more aggressive and know WHEN it doesn't behoove me to try to play around those (I'll lose anyway). Outside of that, I feel like I play this deck very well. (not that it's suuuuper hard, but still)

The decks that you bring in Rest in Peace against should get hurt way more than you should by losing 1 interaction in your deck - Rancor.
KCI, Storm, Hollow One, Jund, Grixis, Dredge, Mardu, and much more. I think that you don't need to bring them in, at least in my opinion, against a Snapcaster Mage deck unless it also hurts a lot more (like Grixis Shadow or Control, where Rest in Peace wrecks them). You have to be selective when you use Rest in Peace since it doesn't develop our game plan. If you want to ask us what are the decks to side it against, shoot!
*Not all players believe in siding it in vs. Jund. I feel that destroying Tarmogoyfs, along with making life rough for Scavenging Ooze, is worth it. Goyf is really the only clock they have.
Agreed. I'm 100% willing to risk losing the ability to put a Rancor back in my hand if it means I can completely disrupt my opponent's game plan; if you're playing against a deck where it's worth siding in, then it's almost always worth the risk of it potentially disrupting one of our interactions. In addition, you're more likely to run into artifact hate than enchantment hate. And assuming we have have a situation where RiP is in play along with a Bogle enchanted by Rancor and opponent draws a Disenchant, chances are high they're going after RiP anyway if their deck relies on graveyard interaction.
Think rest in peace is alright against uw control?
It turns off snapcaster and azcenta.

The opposing deck I mentioned with blood moon could cast it turn 2 and had a bunch of weenies to go with it. With forest only, I could only get bogles to 4/2 without first strike which was not enough to beat those weenies.
Hence I picked the shockland line and of course opponent went turn 2 blood moon for my lose.

It keeps the Auras. It is a 1/1 Mountain that is enchanted with those Auras, making it a 5/5 Mountain with First Strike, Lifelink, Vigilance, and Totem Armor, along with Reach.

It happens. Our deck is not really the type of deck that can play around everything. Sometimes we lose to Blood Moon. My first SCG Classic, I lost to UR Delver for the first time AND 2nd time ever, finishing 7-2 on the day. Blood Moon is literally what kept me out of the top 8 that day.
I did get some redemption at my next Classic by getting to the top 4, but got crunched by Andrew Tenjum and Grixis Twin.

I'd like to thank all the comments on my list! I ended up playing it as-is (with Leylines in the main deck) as I expected many red decks, turn 1 discards and edict effects in the meta. It helped me on game 1, some times, but I did sided it out most of the times (which did felt good, cause I had more slots on sideboard and even when it worked on game 1 I could switch it for more focused hate on game 2).
I finished 3-3 on GP São Paulo. I made some mistakes, but after 2 years away from Modern I got happy with the result. The deck felt quite viable.
Round 1: 5c Humans
I started with a Leyline, which prevented his Kitesail Freebooter from taking one of my auras away. Evasion auras ware key to this match as he had so much going on the ground. The deck is pretty agressive but with a reasonable suited Bogle I was able to win the race.
The Leyline helped game 1, but I felt a few cards devoted to help me in the race and a couple of artifact destruction for his Aether Vial (and any eventual sideboard card he could come up with) would help. In the end he was manascrewed and I easily won.
2-0
Round 2: Monowhite Hatebears
Different deck, but a similar match. Early Aether vial with some creatures being dropped like Leonin Arbiter, Blade Splicer and Thalia, which is a bit annoying as our auras cost 1 more to play. At some point I was at 10 life and he had 7 power on the table with a Vial with 3 charge counters. I had a Bogle with 5 power and Spirit Mantle, he was at 12 life. I decided to risk it and swang for 5. He didn't drop more cruatures and left me at 3. I drew the last aura I needed and hit for lethal.
Leyline didn't felt useful at all in this match, so I brought the same cards from the other match.
Kept a hand with two Daybreak Coronet and a Griffin's Boon. He used a Flickerwisp to blink my Boon and dropped my Coronet, but I had another one, so no big deal.
2-0
Round 3: Titan Shift
I started with Leyline in play. So I felt quite safe to play my game. He did not much other than ramp. He played a Reclamation Sage to get rid of my Leyline, but it was too late for him at this point.
This time I kept the Leyline, as they completely shuts down Valakut. Gaddock prevents Scapeshift and Spirit Link could help me get out of reach.
I got a pretty good hand, so Bogle on turn 1, Rancor + Ethereal Armor turn 2, Coronet turn 3. The game was over on turn 4.
2-0
Round 4: KCI
I started with Leyline, so I felt quite confortable against his Pyrite Spellbomb shenanigans. When his combo fired of he casted a Engineered Explosives with 4 counters and got rid of my Leyline.
Since the Leyline wouldn't help when the combo fired off, I cut them all. I really didn't had much idea what to do (first time playing against the deck), so I sided in every card that seemed useful. Looking in retrospect, I don't think Damping Sphere is super useful. It slows his combo a turn or so. But once he can combo the Explosives simply get rid of it. Gaddock Teeg and Stony Silence ar way more resilient answers (even though he brings Nature's Claim and Lighning's Bolt for game 2). Rest in Peace stops his combo, but is easely removed by the Explosives. A well timed one, though, can get rid of some of his pieces.
It didn't went well though. He had a fast hand and the combo was set on turn 4.
0-2
Round 5: 4c Saheeli
Game 1 I keep a riskier hand, with Kor Spirit Dancer and Leyline, but with no Bogle. He goes with Noble Hierarch, Oath of Nissa and picks a Magus of the Moon. He enters turn 3 and I just watch moveless as he hits me to death.
I mistakenly read the deck as a Naya Zoo Aggro. So i brought Dromoka's Command and Spirit Link to help win the race and more Paths to avoid the Magus.
This time he brings a turn 3 Blood Moon. I Path my own Kor Spirit Dancer to get a basic land, but I soon discover the deck is actually a Saheeli Combo. So no donuts for me.
0-2
Round 6: Jund
Game 1 I start without a Leyline this time. He uses Inquisition of Kozilek to get rid of one of my auras. Liliana shows up on turn 4, I get a Dryad Arbor from my fetchland but he kills it with a Bolt, so I lose all my creatures and later, the game.
Not sure what to get out. Leylines felt important and I didn't have much on the side to bring in. I decided to get an extra Path e cut a Kor, as his deck is heavy on removal. I start with a Leyline and a well suited Bogle. I close the game pretty quickly.
Game 3 I start with a leyline, once again, but the plays an Engineered Explosives with 1 charge counter. I get an Umbra on my Bogle, but my only other aura in hand is Daybreak Coronet. He even gets a Bloodbraid Elf cascading into an Abrupt Decay. I wasn't able to do much and he quickly dropped my life to 0.
1-2
The GP was won by a Mardu Pyromancer deck. This kind of worries me as they can play Crackling Doom. It really hurts us as no card really stops them. The only workaround is to no focus on a single creature, but instead spread the auras among two of them. But it's not everyday we get 2 bogles and plenty of auras to make them both viable attackers!
---------------------------
Thanks again for the help! If you have any sugestions on my sideboard decisions, I'd gladly take them!
Not sure when I'll be able to play a Modern event again, but I guess I'll stick with the Bogles plan!
It seems that you sideboarded very well in rounds 1-5. I guess not everyone agrees with me on Rest in Peace against Jund, but I do it. I feel fine cutting some Auras that don't do much toward card advantage or board state like Spirit Link and/or Spirit Mantle.
I wouldn't worry about Crackling Doom. I got hit by that in the top 4 of a GP by Mardu Burn many years ago, but I don't think it's a card that you can ever really expect OR play around.

I actually like the idea of Rest in Peace against Jund. In fact, I used to side them in while playing with UW Control.
With Bogles I'm not very sure what to side out. Spirit Mantle felt useful, to hold their threats and get some free hits. Umbras feel quite important too, as they have tons of removal and it's the only way to keep our Spiritdancers.
As you pointed, it hits Tarmogoyf and Scavengin Ooze. It also weakens Kholagan's Command and the eventual Kitchen Finks (though I don't think it's a super common card in the deck nowadays)
But yeah, maybe cutting both Spirit Mantles for the RiP would've helped!
Is this something you do against any Goyf deck? Or more a Jund/Abzan thing?
So is rest in peace a good card to sb in vs uw control?
Sorry, I guess I wrote poorly.
I meant I used Rest in Peace against Jund/Abzan while playing as UW Control, implying that it might be a good idea to do the same against Jund/Abzan playing as Bogles.
That being said, it weakens Snapcaster Mage and Logic Knot. It stops Search for Azcanta if you play it before it flips. Doesn't seem like it's necessary though. Against control we should be as fast as possible and play around Wrath and Edict effects.
R1 - Humans: Bringing in artifact removal just to deal with Aether Vial is not worth it, especially not if you only have 2-mana ones. Aether Vial is already a pretty poor card against us since it's a bit slow. On the other hand Path to Exile is a powerhouse. I do not understand at all keeping them in the sideboard against an aggressive creature deck.
R2 - Monowhite Hatebears: Again, Path to Exile is great here. There's a number of relevant creatures that you need to deal with and their entire game plan is creatures. Seal of Primordium is probably worth it too though, since you can expect some shenanigans like Worship, Spellskite, etc.
R3 - Titanshift: In my experience Spirit Link is not quite good enough here, as they can quite easily get to 36 damage, especially as you slow yourself down by including it. I also think that Path to Exile is better than Spirit Mantle, as in the games where they don't draw Scapeshift you can win just by exiling their Primeval Titan. It can also prevent chumps from Sakura-Tribe Elder if it doesn't seem useful otherwise.
R4 - KCI: We certainly have a lot of sideboard here. I would probably even bring in Seal of Primordium, as it helps stop them go off and can sometimes kill Mox Opal or Mind Stone or something like that. Engineered Explosives is a problem but since both Gaddock Teeg and Stony Silence prevents it we can live with it. It's almost Again I don't really see the point of keeping Spirit Mantle against a deck that doesn't really do creature combat at all. It's important to realize that Spirit Mantle is only good against some decks. The base stats on it is terrible, it costs twice as much as umbras and provide no protection against sweepers or extra abilities. Unless you desperately need early blockers or infinite chumpers could be a problem, take it out.
R5 - 4c Saheeli: This is probably just gonna be a bad matchup but sideboarding seems fairly ok even with the misidentification. I would have assumed some sort of Kiki Chord deck upon seeing Oath of Nissa (and that's often combined with Saheeli combo) but there probably wasn't much to do. I don't think you can even bring in Seal of Primordium as you don't even know if he's running Blood Moon and you're desperate for a fast clock.
R6 - Jund: Not much sideboarding to do here when Leylines are maindeck. Rest in Peace is certainly an option. My opinion on that plan is that against Jund you cannot afford to screw around too much. If you have a Leyline and Rest in Peace in play, how are you still gonna have enough creatures and auras to beat him down? Especially when he sees you are low on auras and focuses Abrupt Decays and Maelstrom Pulses on them while ignoring your utility enchantments. Even so, it depends a lot on their specific build. In the past I figured RiP was not worth it against only Tarmogoyf, but if they also played Lingering Souls I brought them in. The same argument could be had for Kolaghan's Command and Scavenging Ooze, though both are likely to be boarded out in the matchup so not sure about that. You could argue that RiP alleviates the need for Path to Exile to some extent, but it doesn't answer Dark Confidant.
Spirit Mantle is a card that I'm quite torn on against Jund. It's often pretty bad tempo as it costs 2 mana and trades against the removal 1 for 1, and it opens you up to getting very blown out by instant removal. At the same time I have certainly won games where i was lacking action and just held a Tarmogoyf back several turns, and it's often a good topdeck in tight games. As I haven't really tested much against Jund since Bloodbraid Elf was unbanned I'm not gonna give any definite opinion here.
Mardu Pyromancer: They certainly could play Crackling Doom, but as long as Bogles is limited to 1-2% of the meta, they're unlikely to want to. This matchup can be good or bad depending on the number of discard, Liliana of the Veils, Blood Moons, Engineered Explosives, Wear/Tears, and so on. I think it's fairly close to 50/50 though, as they still can't really deal with Daybreak Coronet at all.
In Round 1, he sided in Seal of Primordiums because it seemed he didn't have anything better to side. Now that I think of it, Leyline of Sanctity probably is better than Seal of Primordium against Humans. Good call!
In Round 2, Path to Exile definitely is a good call. You want to have control over certain Hate Bears that can potentially be annoying.
In Round 3, you certainly are right and I feel embarrassed for not analyzing it more. Path to Exile is certainly better than the extra lifelink cards vs. Titanshift. I guess in some world, I imagined Ethereal Armors and Spirit Link combining to make Titanshift need 1 more turn to kill and that's when you kill them. As a Titanshift player too, I have to admit that I'm more scared of Path to Exile than Spirit Link though.
Yes, in Round 4, you also put in Seal of Primordium. Even though artifact removal isn't the "best" card against them, Seal of Primordium also insulates us against the potential Ensnaring Bridge that they could bring in. We can't beat a Bridge that stays on the field, although with Gaddock Teeg in play and protected, they may eventually have enough cards in hand that they CAN'T play for us to swing for a tiny bit.
Good analysis MatsT. I feel a bit embarrassed now for not looking more carefully and thinking about options, although it's a bit tough to do without the list in front of you. I also haven't run Bogles ever since the Las Vegas PPTQ now.

I played in a 32 person Staples tournament today. For those that don't know, 32 is the most players that cap at 5 Rounds.
Round 1 vs. Affinity. He played turn 1, Darksteel Citadel and Mox Opal. I felt pretty good about that. Turn 2 Master of Etherium and turn 3 Karn, Scion of Urza. I put Rancor and Spider Umbra on my dude, also getting a Spirit Mantle, but I was too low on life and couldn't block the Master of Etherium AND the "Master of Etheriums" that came from Karn. I kept a Forest, fetchland hand and got stuck with Daybreak Coronet after 4 draws. Couldn't find a White source and died. In the next game, he had a turn 3 Etched Champion and I attack with a Bogle with Spider Umbra and Daybreak Coronet. He blocks, as I have only 2 cards in hand - Path to Exile and Nature's Claim. I use Nature's Claim on his other creature to put him at 2 artifacts and he scoops. The next game involved a potentially different line that would have won the game possibly. I attack with an Ethereal Armor, Rancor, Spider Umbra'd dude to try to race double Vault Skirge and Signal Pest. The 1 attack forced me to Seal of Primordium to kill his Pest or Galvanic Blast kills me. Then Path to Exile ramped him to Cranial Plating, as he drew Mox Opal for the turn anyway. 1-2.
Round 2 vs. Affinity. Not much to say here. He drew okay. I drew very well. I got the Daybreak Coronet draw. He had some small dudes. I figured he would at least play Cranial Plating to race back and forth, but it did not happen. I got Stony Silence in Game 2 and it slowed him down enough for me to get there. Rancor is a beating! 2-0.
Round 3 vs. GB Infect. Is this where my tournament ends? He goes super wide on me in the first game, but draws no pump and after some blocks and trades, a Kor Spiritdancer goes the distance. He literally needed Vines of Vastwood, Groundswell, or Might of Old Krosa on his final draw step to kill me. I assumed I had lost. I was wrong - he did Fatal Push on Spiritdancer and I place the Hyena Umbra in the graveyard. Lethal. In the next game, he does find enough Nature's Claims to slow me down enough to do Thoughtseize on the final turn and do Vines of Vastwood kicked and Blossoming Defense for 12 poison while he's at 2 life. In the final game, it goes back and forth after he does Nature's Claim on Leyline of Sanctity and Inquisition of Kozilek. I have a hand not prone to 1 discard spell and I get close to lethal. He hesitates on the final turn, as I have an extra lethal attacker. I smell Darkness, as it's the only card that saves him and if he draws a pump spell next turn, I lose. He doesn't have Darkness. Whew! 2-1.
Round 4 vs. Humans. I played this guy in the finals of the last Staples tournament on Humans, while I won eventually with Titanshift. In game 1, he gets Meddling Mage down on turn 3 on the PLAY before I can play Daybreak Coronet and win. He kills me with Thalia's Lieutenant into Phantasmal Image, as I thought I had him with much more than lethal next turn with Rancor, Ethereal Armor, and Auras on a dude. He made a costly mistake swinging Mantis Rider into a dude with Spider Umbra, but there was no life gain. He barely got there on the final turn with exactly lethal with those Lieutenants. In game 2, he plays Thalia, but I find lands and get Daybreak Coronet. He scoops since he really can't beat that. It's 27 to 9 at the time. In the final game, it came down to the wire and he was looking for a top deck, empty handed. He hoped to draw Mantis Rider. I figured Mantis Rider or Thalia's Lieutenant are both game and I probably lose to his final draw step. He draws Lieutenant, but wait, he makes an incorrect attack pushing everyone sideways. I chump the Meddling Mage and then swing for lethal with a 5/3 Bogle (since I did Gryff's Boon on his Phantasmal Image to get my Ethereal Armor back the turn before) with him at 4 and only a 1/1 Lieutenant untapped and no cards in play. I felt a bit badly for his misplay. He told me he's been doing a lot of stuff, including Magic, in the past 8 days. I feel that 9 times out of 10, he won't make that mistake. I win at 1 life. 2-1.
Round 5 vs. Bant Company. Him and I are 7th and 8th, while 9th and 10th are also 3-1. We have to play it out. I mull to 6. I get off to a quick start, but he gets chump blockers for my Ethereal Armor, Spider Umbra, Daybreak Coronet dude. I play a Rancor that I draw because I want him to do a 2nd Spell Queller instead of Collected Company. He does. I Path to Exile it later, but he gets his 3rd Spell Queller to get it. This game comes down to the wire as he keeps throwing chump blockers, double Collected Company, too much value while I draw only lands. I have 2 fetches in play and 1 in hand that have no targets left. I have 2 Horizon Canopy in the yard. I have both Ravorverge Thicket, 2 basics, and 3 Temple Gardens in play with the 2 fetches and Dryad Arbor. He comes back from 50 to 1 life with Shalai, Voice of Plenty and Gavony Township. He had an early Tireless Tracker, which got him at least 5 clues this game. There is 22 minutes left on the clock and I consider scooping. But if I draw 1 of 3 Spirit Mantle or the other 3 Rancor, I win. On the final turn before I take lethal, I draw Rancor. But it is NOT enough for lethal now. He survives at 1 life and swings back for lethal. He had 3 counters on a Noble Hierarch and Spell Queller that were both left back while the other creatures dropped me to 16 life. Good play by him! In the next game, he mulls to 5 and doesn't have answers for what I play. I cast Kor Spiritdancer on turn 2 so that it would get Pathed. It did and I then played my Gaddock Teeg, assumingly shutting off 2-3 cards in his hand (CoCo). He must not have had anything else! In the final game, I mull two 0 land hands and end up scrying a Bogle to the bottom. I draw a 2nd and 3rd Bogle and try to go wide. It is actually working solidly and I just literally need a good Aura. I go for the Gaddock Teeg that I drew. He does Collected Company. I prepare to put it under Spell Queller. It gets exiled by Spell Queller. He gets Knight of the Reliquary next turn and he has big beaters while I had 3 1/1 creatures and a Gladecover Scout with double Cartouche of Solidarity. I lose a 1/1 each turn and 1 dude gets Path to Exiled. I see this guy at Comp REL tournaments. He's a really good player and I've had good luck in the past against him, but he HAS beaten me now the last 2 times. I think he's 2-4 vs. me now, so I can't be too mad about poor luck. Maybe I should have fetched one of the fetchlands in game 1 just to see where the **** my Spirit Mantles were? 1-2.
I got knocked out of the top 8 and get 10th place: 3-2. In the third game of the day in Game 3, I made a mistake with an attack, assuming that in 5 draw steps, 1 will be an Aura or Path to Exile. But in reality, I had already DRAWN 3 lands, so I needed those in 2 more draw steps. Drew 2 more lands and lost. It would have looked like a genious play to draw an Aura in time, buffing both other Ethereal Armors, and then winning. But it looks like it was the incorrect play. I should have left up the dude because he was going wide. It did have Spider Umbra. The issue was that he was playing a creature or more per turn and I wasn't. Not sure what was right in this situation. All I know is my line didn't work and it cost me top 8ing probably.
For what it's worth, I was watching the stream of playing the Round 5 opponent on the win-and-in. He had 4 draws that literally saved him from lethal during that Game 1. Also I made a mistake of playing my Spider Umbra on the Dryad Arbor that he had previously bounced with Reflector Mage. We were getting so low on time, I didn't make the correct play. I got the Arbor Path to Exiled in response, which I didn't expect (but should have) since his hand count was so low. But on the final turn, I was 1 point short of lethal and the Spider Umbra would have given me +3/+3 because of the 2 Ethereal Armor. If any of you are interested in the Stream, it is …
@4 hours, Snow Bogles vs. Bant Coco, incorrectly misnamed Knightfall.
Let me know if I did other things wrong. I do realize that I can play Dryad Arbor the turn after it is Reflector Maged, but that one wasn't too bad. Anything else? For what it's worth, this guy won the whole tournament. I felt like I could have easily run through the top 8 as well. I mean, you don't want to get cocky because that's when you mull to 5 or 4, but I had a decent chance.

I looked at the match against Bant Company, and there were definitely some plays I don't agree with. Hope you don't think I'm too harsh.
Game 1:
Starting at turn 3, just passing seems way too weak. I get that you want to play around Spell Queller, but since he's a collected company deck he's likely to hold up mana for most of the game. If you don't want to risk the Daybreak Coronet I would at least jam the Kor Spiritdancer. Your play did end up working out since he played Spell Queller on end step anyway, but you couldn't be sure he had it.
On turn 4 you made a pretty serious error of exposing Spiritdancer to Path by fetching too late. You should first fetch a plains, then play the Spiritdancer+Daybreak to ensure the card draw. If you did that he would probably have played Spell Queller on Coronet instead, so it might have ended up worse for you, but playing around the second Spell Queller seems incorrect.
When you drew the Rancor, you knew that he had Spell Queller in hand (from Eternal Witness) and mana up, so there's no reason to play it right away. If you just keep it in hand he's forced to keep mana up indefinitely. Eventually you might be able to play several auras in the same turn or at the very least get a bonus card from a Spiritdancer. As it played out, without the damage from the Spell Queller on Rancor you would have easily lived another turn and won the game.
When you draw the Spirit Umbra, it doesn't really do much on the Dryad Arbor. While there's some benefit to boosting the Ethereal Armors and chumping a flyer later, I would rather just keep it. You can use it for a second Bogle or Spiritdancer, even if you didn't end up needing exactly the damage it gave for the lethal.
Game 2:
On turn 3, it seems you missed 3 damage by not attacking with Gaddock Teeg. Not sure about the thinking there. Also I don't understand why you don't crack horizon canopy right away to see if you draw something. You have Ethereal Armor in hand so if you draw another spell you can just play both of them on the same turn.
Game 3:
It looks like you forgot to attack with Gladecover Scout on turn 2 and missed 2 damage? Feels like you're getting a bit tired and sloppy at this point, maybe in a hurry too. Always worth keeping in mind that with a draw one of you will make top 8 and it could be you. No reason to rush it if you have a bad hand.
On turn 3 you path the Knight of the Reliquary and this looks like a mistake. You could just play the Cartouche and attack for 3 or 4 damage (depending on if you want to build 1 large or 2 smaller bogles). You know he has missed a land drop so getting him to 4 lands turns on Collected Company. He has no forests/plains to sacrifice to Knight either. Yes he could use Field of Ruin to get a basic land, but this would tap him out for the turn and you can Path it later (he also might not think of that play). The one problem is that in theory he can get a Ghost Quarter to lock you out of white mana, but this puts himself down to just 2 mana and nothing to sacrifice, it I doubt he will do that.
As the game played out there was obviously nothing you could do anyway. With a mull to 5 into a weak start, matchups like this can be difficult. I actually he made pretty significant errors too, for example Negating the Rest in Peace which does nothing against the Worship plan or really any of his cards in play. Worth noting is that even against Worship you can actually draw the game with Daybreak Coronet or even win it by milling them out, so never concede the third game just to Worship.
Game 1 was where you would have had to pick up a win and I think you easily could have with some better decisions. In the early turns there are certainly different arguments in favor of different plays, but playing the Rancor into the known Spell Queller, there's just no reason to do that.
Firstly, I appreciate you taking the time to watch the vids and give your analysis. You are pretty spot on and there's not really much I can argue with here.
When the standings came up, I was at 50.X % tiebreakers. He was at 53.X %. I assumed that he makes it in as the 8th seed if he wins OR ties. I felt like I needed to win and I had a good chance in a pretty solid matchup. I mean, Company is usually bad but only because of the Combo.
Game 1:
In the first game, I did play sloppy mostly because we were getting to 26 minutes left, then 24 minutes left. I was considering many things, including scooping because I knew I wouldn't draw Spirit Mantle (a 3 of in my list) or Rancor (1 already gone). But I kind of HAD to keep plugging on because Spirit Mantle wins me the game on the spot. I'm guessing it's not the correct play to play around the 1st Spell Queller and probably not even the 2nd one, but I had a super strong feeling that he had them. This is a really smart player who knows he needs to leave up Spell Queller on turn 2 rather than playing a Knight of the Reliquary, which I felt he had also. I knew he wouldn't decline playing Knight of the Reliquary if he didn't have Spell Queller. Don't ask me how I "knew" he had Knight. I just got a super strong feeling. I know 100% that it was stupid now to play the Spider Umbra on the Dryad Arbor. It opened me up to future Path to Exiles. My thoughts at the time were that I was running low on time so I needed to make a quick decision and I wanted potential more possible blocks in the future, especially if I am turning my other creature sideways while he is chumping. It was a sloppy play and if I thought it out more, I would have done the right play. I was not sure about the play at all; I just kind of herp, derp, went for it. I will look back at the Rancor play. As I remember it, I had Path to Exile, which is why I did it, and he didn't have 3 mana up to play another Spell Queller. I will check it and get back to you. You're probably right that I just did that stupid play. (EDIT below)
What do you think about blocking his Spell Queller with my creature to put it in the graveyard? He did it, pretending he didn't know Spider Umbra so I'd block, putting it in the graveyard and he could get it back with Eternal Witness. I just felt at the time that his deck probably plays 1 or 2 Witness at most and I'd rather he use it on a Spell Queller than a Company. But it's bad thinking since Spell Queller exiles my potential top deck and Company is random. Sometimes players like me get in the habit of thinking that Company is going to get something broken all the time, even when we play it too and get just average Companies. Just rechecked it and he could have just blocked with Spell Queller on the following turn to put it in the graveyard since I'm going to attack anyway to pad my life total. Never mind.
Game 2:
I think I noticed that play with Gaddock Teeg. I felt that I wanted to keep him safe, but the first strike would have kept him safe from a potential double block. I realized it after I passed the turn. You're right about the Horizon Canopy as well. It just got inside my head that I wasn't going to draw anything useful, so I'd act like I have nothing, then potentially play a bunch of stuff next turn. It's just poor thinking from drawing nearly every land in my deck in Game 1. But every game is different. This is a big problem with me.
Game 3:
I did certainly miss an attack. I realized it after I passed the turn. I thought, this guy couldn't have been summoning sick because I didn't have enough mana on turn 2 to cast double Bogle and a 1 mana Aura. Regarding him not having a Forest or Plains to sacrifice, I will recheck. I assumed that I was cutting down potential mana and I know that when I have had a Knight of the Reliquary in other decks that has survived summoning sickness, I often do very well. Knight is one of millions of favorite cards of mine! I wanted to use Path before he could Spell Queller, adding power to the board, and then race me since my clock was anemic. My thought on the Rest in Peace. Yes, it seemed super odd that he did that. I think it was more to send a message on his hand strength, get a card out of his hand, and keep more potentially good draws in teh deck. It's not the safest play, but I think it's fine in that situation. Yes, he probably should have saved it for potential Daybreak Coronets, but it's a niche situation where I get those and I'm assuming he had double Spell Queller in hand.
In the end, I scooped because I can't win. Maybe I should have tried to potentially draw it out and then see if my tiebreakers jumped his (one of my opponents left immediately after losing to me)? It was just a long day, I was 80 mi. from home, had family waiting for me, and didn't want to stay to see if some small chance got me there. In the past, I've stayed a lot just to get 9th place on tiebreakers. I always assume my tiebreakers are bad, probably because when they're good, I usually don't have to eek into the top 8. It's just X-0 and double draw if I'm doing well on tiebreakers. But you are right. I chose to pay and go far to the tournament. I need to see it out. Or else, why try and why go?
I appreciate the responses and I honestly can't argue with a single point (and I've been known to argue if you look at the Ban and Restricted thread here, lol). I will look back at the Rancor play because I don't remember the exact specifics of it and try to get back to you. I want to be a player that can accept criticism. That's how I get better. I expect SO much from myself because I know what I can do when I play on top of my game. My expectations are probably much higher than anything anyone can place on me, so there's really nothing that I will get mad about. I do have strong opinions that shape the way I play, like the Game 1 Spell Queller/Knight of the Reliquary "soul read," but I realize that Magic is not about what you think your opponent has, but what plays are best for you in the scope of the game and match. Thanks so much!!
P.S. - This is the first time I've ever been able to watch myself on camera and analyze my plays later on and I don't play MTGO at all. I do watch streams of other players occasionally though. This has been so helpful and triple helpful that a good player like yourself gave me honest and good feedback. I think this would be the next step in me getting to where I need to get to (since I've knocked on qualifying for the Pro Tour several times in the past 2 years, despite lack of play). One of the main problems I've had is that my video plays for 10 seconds, then pauses for 5 seconds, so it's TIME CONSUMING to watch again.
EDIT> You're right about Rancor. That was dumb. He had just cast Shalai, Voice of Plenty, so I can't Path to Exile his Spell Queller. There's no reason to not wait until I have 2 Rancor to go for it. Yep.

Do you know about any sideboard guide?
I know what I want to put inside but im not sure what should go out
Here's an old one that I gave to Chewemy through private messages here (my list has 4 Leyline of Sanctity in the SB) -
Posted Apr 5, 2018
Vs. Jund/Junk, I would side in 2 Rest in Peace and 4 Leyline of Sanctity. I side out 1 Spirit Link, 1 Unflinching Courage, 1 Gryff's Boon, 2 Spirit Mantle, and 1 Hyena Umbra.
Vs. Titanshift, I side in 4 Leyline of Santity and 2 Gaddock Teeg. I side out 1 Gryff's Boon, 3 Spirit Mantle, 2 Kor Spiritdancer (direct creature swap).
Vs. Tron, I side in 2 Stony Silence and 2 Gaddock Teeg. Sometimes on the play, I side in 1-2 Nature's Claim to nab the Expedition Map. (I only have 2 Teeg, but I'd side in 3 Teeg if I could.) I take out 2 Spirit Mantle, 1 Spirit Link, and 1 Unflinching Courage. If I put in Nature's Claim, I take out the last Spirit Mantle and something else.
Vs. Elves, I side in 2 Gaddock Teeg AND PRAY TO DRAW THEM. I side out 2 Spirit Mantle.
Vs. Jeskai Control, we don't side much because it's a good matchup. I haven't played it recently, but if you want to put in 1 Rest in Peace and maybe a Nature's Claim or 2 for D Sphere or Runed Halo, that's fine. The same goes for UW Control, except you can take out Spirit Link and Unflinching Courage. Life gain is not as important here.
Vs. Dredge, I side in 2 Rest in Peace and 2 Gaddock Teeg for Conflagrate. I side out Gryff's Boon, Spirit Link, and something else.
VS. Burn, I side in 4 Leyline of Sanctity and 2-3 Nature's Claim, depending on how many Eidolon of the Great Revel you see and hoping to hit one of your own enchantments for 4 life. I side out Gryff's Boon, a fetchland, 2 Spirit Mantle, an Unflinching Courage on the draw, and maybe a Kor Spiritdancer and a Spider Umbra.
Vs. Faeries, I have no idea since I've never played against it with Bogles. Probably keep most of the deck the same. Possibly put in Leylines if you think they have too much discard or it's too disrupting to us.
Vs. Humans, it's a super good matchup for us. I don't side in a thing! I actually side in 9 random cards and then side them out so my opponent believes that I am sideboarding. I don't want to look to obvious that I sided nothing.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)I finished 3-3 on GP São Paulo.
Side out: 4 Leyline of Sanctity
Side in: 1 Dromoka's Command, 1 Spirit Link and 2 Seal of Primordium
Side out: 4 Leyline of Sanctity
Side in: 1 Dromoka's Command, 1 Spirit Link and 2 Seal of Primordium
Leyline didn't felt useful at all in this match, so I brought the same cards from the other match.
Kept a hand with two Daybreak Coronet and a Griffin's Boon. He used a Flickerwisp to blink my Boon and dropped my Coronet, but I had another one, so no big deal.
2-0
Round 3: Titan Shift
I started with Leyline in play. So I felt quite safe to play my game. He did not much other than ramp. He played a Reclamation Sage to get rid of my Leyline, but it was too late for him at this point.
Side out: 1 Kor Spiritdancer, 2 Path to Exile
Side in: 1 Spirit Link and 2 Gaddock Teeg
This time I kept the Leyline, as they completely shuts down Valakut. Gaddock prevents Scapeshift and Spirit Link could help me get out of reach.
I got a pretty good hand, so Bogle on turn 1, Rancor + Ethereal Armor turn 2, Coronet turn 3. The game was over on turn 4.
2-0
Round 4: KCI
I started with Leyline, so I felt quite confortable against his Pyrite Spellbomb shenanigans. When his combo fired of he casted a Engineered Explosives with 4 counters and got rid of my Leyline.
Side out: 4 Leyline of Sanctity, 2 Path to Exile, 2 Kor Spiritdancer
Side in: 2 Stony Silence, 2 Rest in Peace, 2 Damping Sphere and 2 Gaddock Teeg
Side out: 4 Leyline of Sanctity
Side in: 1 Dromoka's Command, 1 Spirit Link and 2 Path to Exile
Side out: 1 Kor Spiritdancer
Side in: 1 Path to Exile

I wouldn't worry about Crackling Doom. I got hit by that in the top 4 of a GP by Mardu Burn many years ago, but I don't think it's a card that you can ever really expect OR play around.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)With Bogles I'm not very sure what to side out.

Sorry, I guess I wrote poorly.
I meant I used Rest in Peace against Jund/Abzan while playing as UW Control, implying that it might be a good idea to do the same against Jund/Abzan playing as Bogles.
That being said, it weakens Snapcaster Mage and Logic Knot. It stops Search for Azcanta if you play it before it flips. Doesn't seem like it's necessary though. Against control we should be as fast as possible and play around Wrath and Edict effects.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Round 1 vs.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Game 1:
You're probably right that I just did that stupid play.(EDIT below)What do you think about blocking his Spell Queller with my creature to put it in the graveyard? He did it, pretending he didn't know Spider Umbra so I'd block, putting it in the graveyard and he could get it back with Eternal Witness. I just felt at the time that his deck probably plays 1 or 2 Witness at most and I'd rather he use it on a Spell Queller than a Company. But it's bad thinking since Spell Queller exiles my potential top deck and Company is random. Sometimes players like me get in the habit of thinking that Company is going to get something broken all the time, even when we play it too and get just average Companies.Just rechecked it and he could have just blocked with Spell Queller on the following turn to put it in the graveyard since I'm going to attack anyway to pad my life total. Never mind.Game 2:
Yep.

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Here's an old one that I gave to Chewemy through private messages here (my list has 4 Leyline of Sanctity in the SB) -
Posted Apr 5, 2018
